Glycerin Squad (Clan ID 48038, Tag ¤GS¤) is for Gold league pilots though we do take the occasional promising Silver leaguer, Nitro Squad (Clan ID 34039, Tag ¤NS¤) is for Diamond league players and Nitro Elite (Clan ID 49124, Tag ¤NE¤) is for Expert league and above. All the clans are on the Android platform and share an active Discord forum. Pilots move up to the appropriate clan as their rank improves.
The forum is a great place for tips, bragging, or just to chat, and the Discord app allows for in game communications too. Our clans require English fluency and a reasonable activity level (we drop inactive pilots) and we have players from all over the world, so you can find squad mates day or night.
We are always looking to improve as pilots, but we realize this is just a game, so we don't take things too seriously. The Nitroglycerin family of clans is big enough to provide great opportunities for growth in the game, but small enough that you won't get lost in a crowd. The cameraderie and balance of fun and competitiveness make for a great experience. Check us out!

I have run a similar build for quite some time, that being a tempest punisher Leo (weapons 10, bot 9). I have found it to be effective into android diamond league for the reasons you discuss. I have currently moved the Tempest onto another bot, and am running the Leo with a thunder, but I just won another Tempest, so it looks like I may be going back to it.

I would level the Leo. As you climb in rank, you will need to transition it to longer range weapons. The big pile of hit points is not nearly as effective as a shield (either physical or energy) at short range when you face more powerful opponents.

It’s true, but the reason why I bought a Tempest is that I needed something to counter other midrangers (Fury Zeus, for example). I would rather use my RDB at 500m, I also have a set of Punishers for the Griffin but I don’t like them so much. The best counter for midrangers is ultra long range snipers such as a treb fury or butch setup or treb/gekko leo (what I run in my hangar). It seems like every other game i'm taking out fury zeus's, rdbs, shocktrain cheaters, etc... I have found that a triple tempest Fury is a great counter to both midrangers and snipers. Against midrangers, it puts out respectable damage, stripping shields of both varieties, and all from the safety of 700+ meters. Against snipers, the damage it can put out usually forces them out of position, if it doesn't kill them outright, and I don't have to spend a long time getting in range.

Hello operator8472, what platform are you on and what is your weekly activity level? The answers to these questions will help people determine if you are a good fit for their clans. For example, in the Nitroglycerin family of clans, you may be a good fit for Glycerin Squad (Clan ID 48038, Clan Tag ¤NS¤), which is our clan for gold league pkayers, though Glycerin Squad does occasionally take promising silver leaguers. We like a weekly activity level of at least 300, and we need to see evidence of English fluency, which you have demonstrated. In answer to your question, yes, clans get a tangible benefit, in addition to the camaraderie, learning opportunities, and freedom from tankers to the extent you squad with clanmates. For each of you first three daily victories, you get three additional gold.

Clan badges. Something like an air force roundel that would appear on each clan bot. Each clan could design and submit for approval, for a price of say, 1,000 Au or wsp, and then each pilot could pay 50 Au or wsp for the right to have it on their bots.

You can purchase them with gold or workshop points, but save the gold to purchase more robot slots, until you get your 5th slot. The additional slots are by far the most important purchase you can make in the game. They will give you in-game endurance and flexibility.

I run a tempest punisher Leo in low-mid diamond (android) and find it quite effective. It is nice to be able to open up with the tempest while I am still getting into range for the punishers. How does the Tempest perform with Punishers, when compared to Thunder? Two different roles, so the question isn't quite right to ask. A thunder punisher Leo is more of a knife fighter/close range support, while a tempest punisher Leo is really more of a midranger.

Molots are only effective under 600m. The projectile spread is too much to be effective. Punishers are pretty good under 350-300m. Though the bullet spread does increase beyond that, they act as good suppressors even at max range. You'd be better off with leveled punishers on a Griffin., IMO. They have a significantly higher DPS, and are effective on all maps. Tempest Molot Leo is a good long-mid range setup though. YMMV. Alright thnx for the info..btw I have lvl 9 mk2 golem..so use golem with tempest and punisher or Leo? Leo is lvl 10 mk1 I run a tempest punisher Leo in low-mid diamond (android) and find it quite effective. It is nice to be able to open up with the tempest while I am still getting into range for the punishers.

It might be best to post in the clans subforum, with a statement of your play platform (android, ios, etc.) and a screenshot of your hangar.

General wisdom is to group weapons with like or similar ranges (if not like types as well), and also that indirect fire weapons like zenit and noricum are not really effective for beginners.
Also, don't spend gold on anything other than getting more slots. Ecu are generally not worth the slot.
With your current bots and weapons I would suggest zeus and punishers on the golem, a thunder pinata Leo, and replace the zenit with a nashorn.
Top priority on your present bots as opposed to getting a new one would be a cheap replacement for the noricums on the Natasha. I suggest molots.
For a 4th slot robot, I suggest a griffin. I am not personally a fan of this bot, but many people are.

Read Musashi's 'A Book of Five Rings'. It is a classic by the most famous swordsman of medieval Japan. Understanding its application to War Robots will both help you with your tactics and with attaining a mindset conducive to success.

I have mentioned this before, but my favorite unconventional build is a hydramag Gareth. It has become more susceptible to splash now that I have moved up to (android) diamond and I may end up replacing it with a heavy, but it is an excellent late game beacon capper.
It is one of the fastest bots with the shield undeployed, though it will still protect if you run down the right side. The hydra has autolock and the magnum has no down time, so on a beacon run, I just hold my thumb on the big red button and get to devote all my attention to my surroundings without having to worry about aiming and timing reloads.
If I am low on hp or do not need to madly rush for a beacon, I can go into cripple kill mode from cover with the hydra, which can be decisive when most players are down to their last bots. And I have the magnum to use against bots with anciles, against which the hydra is of limited usefulness.
I have only ever seen one other example in the field, but I have won games for my team with this little frankenbot that would have been unwinnable with any other pre dash build.

It's probably to get through event tasks quickly. The rewards are totally worth it for this guy. Unlike the players of low leagues, who wouldn't even know what to do with an Ancile, let alone a Kumiho. He's doing then a favor, really. WHO exactly is this player doing a favor for?

I dont think you appreciate the situation as much as you should. YOU have the advantage. You are tying up 2 mechs. Without taking damage. They are in the open and more prone to getting engaged. You have channelized areas that you need to watch but can control. You are not readily visible. Concealment You are not readily engaged. Cover You have the option to dictate engagement. I'd say you were in perfect position. If the punisher comes in blitz the laser. If the laser comes in, wait and tear him a new one. If they both come in wait, then tear the laser a new one. Excellent advice, generally speaking. An exception would be if time is ticking down and you are behind. Waiting them out would not be an option in that case.
