1. Whenever a player is backing away, that means that they are tired and need someone’s back to lean on. Be a good teammate and walk right behind them to hold them up! 2. Never eject from a bot. It’s important to use every bot to its full potential. 3. If you are using a long range build, do not capture beacons, even if they are close and uncontested. That’s a beacon runner’s job, not yours. 4. Buy the “Parade” destrier skin. If players see you with it in the game, they will know you are a smart, sophisticated player. 5. When teammates are firing rockets, step in front of them. When rockets hit opposing players, the screen shakes and a lot of smoke clouds their vision. By blocking those rockets, you are being a kind person and taking one for the team. 6. Combine ranges! Using weapons that constitute multiple ranges is much more versatile than just covering one range. 7. When an allied Griffin is jumping, hug them. Jumps are dangerous because they make you closer to enemy territory. Be a good teammate and keep those hot-headed griffins from doing that! 8. At the beginning of the game, empty all your ammunition, regardless of its type. Bonus points if it’s on your teammates. It shows that you are a festive person who is not afraid to have fun! 9. Leave the game at the beginning of games. This will lower your standing and help you teach the lessons of teamwork that you’ve learned to younger players! 10. It’s important to use “meta” builds. These builds are builds that are fun for everybody and make for a good teammate. NOT META: Anything only encompassing one range. Boring! Anything that has the capacity to cap beacons. That’s the other people’s job, not yours. Anything that is close range. Lame and not fun! META Anything that has multiple ranges. Versatile and fun! Anything that doesn’t need to move. There’s a reason why it’s “War Robots” and not “Walking War Robots”. Anything that has ranges above 500m. Bonus points for gekkos, hydras, or trebuchets! #8 is dam hilarious and one of my teammates did a #1 and a #7 simultaneously to me just now and got us both turned into scrap metal by a carnage. That would make me want to do a #2 on them.

Random selection from all three modes or just dom and rush?

They are already planning on keeping it random and adding hangars to choose from after discovering what mode you got for 7500(ish) gold a piece... It's a good idea sans the extra hangars though. Where has this been stated by pix?

By way of introduction/resume, I have been a clan leader and am currently an officer in the Nitroglycerin family of clans on Android, and have led and been an officer or moderator in other clans, alliances and forums in other games.
There are a number of apps out there you can use. We use Discord, which works pretty well, for both a forum and for in-game coms.
As far as running your clan goes, to some extent that is a personal thing, but I do suggest you require a common language for public communications. We have found that location is less important, and have players from all over the world, which makes for interesting conversations and for available squadmates at most times day or night. Think about minimum activity and level requirements and about long term objectives.
Don't rush to make people officers. Get to know them first. The best officers in this game are often not the players who are most active, most skilled or the ones with the best hangars. The best officers are the players who foster a sense of community, loyalty and comradeship. They listen to suggestions and complaints of the membership and do their best to solve problems.

If pix would combine domination, rush and deathmatch with a capture the flag mode designed to strongly favor fast, light bots, and always assign the mode of each battle randomly, I think we would see significantly more variety in hangars.

This is similar to what pix had a few contests back. As long as you only play the cheap spins (under 50 Au), you will either come out ahead or not lose anything significant.
What concerns me far more is that the wsp tasks don't seem to be renewing. I guess I will need to stop queuing wsp production. Again.
P.S. The wsp tasks have come back, at least for now.

It is easy to get rid of the vast majority of tanking and you wouldn't need to have a loser queue either. There are a number of easily programable solutions. One would be to just remove all rewards once you have dropped more than a certain number of points until you get back to the rank you had before the drop.
Pix is certainly aware of possible fixes, but for whatever reason chooses not to implement them. Not something I will lose sleep over. Tankers, just like whales, are part of the landscape.

If you want something that you don't need gold or wsp for, you might want to try a thunder-punisher Leo.

You would be a great fit for Nitro Squad (Clan ID 34039, Clan Tag ¤NS¤). We are the Diamond League clan in the Nitroglycerin family of clans.
We have active players from all over the world who love to squad, so you can usually find a squad mate at any time of day or night. We are competitive, but we don't forget this is supposed to be fun and not a job. Nitro Squad encourages, but does not require the use of Discord for chatting and when possible, in-game communication, and we have an active forum.
Apply at your convenience.

As to where you'd be in android, as a guess, if to you are an average pilot, probably mid gold league.

This is a great post. My one big problem with it is the low priority you place on the 4th and 5th slots. Those give tremendous boosts to a player's in-game durability and flexibility. Those slots are far more important than any weapons or bots that could be bought with the gold.

5th slot, not even close. Instant huge bonus to your durability and flexibility in play, and no way Pixonic can nerf it.
Slots before shots, shots before bots.

Welcome to the game and the forum. Whatever you do with the wsp, don't spend your gold on anything. Save it for a 5th slot, which is by far the most important purchase you can make. It instantly adds durability and flexibility to you're hangar and Pixonic can never nerf it.
Slots before shots, shots before bots.

I dont have much else to spend WSP on . I already have my favorite bots in my hanger . It will add with black market components . I am patient bro and this is not my first Freemium game where i had an estimated two year grind for some goal but in this case i dont have one with a possible exception of another tempest . Maybe i will get enough to make a botty or a bang bang or maybe i wont but its not my main reason for playing War Robots . Too many folk here focus on one cherry instead of the chocolate cake . Freemium games for FTP dudes are games of patience . elcheapo, I take back all the bad things I ever said about you. ? This is EXACTLY the attitude free players need to have.

stop saying amazeballs ... please ... I promise you it is only said by bellends .... you dare to prefix it with 'totes' I will deny ever knowing you... block you .. report you to the UN - or something Yeah, no more 'amazeballs'. You need to start using 'awesomesauce' instead. 'Bellend'? Ahh, British for '「wee-wee」head'! LOL

The whole component system is a joke, I won't spend 1 dime, 1 gold or 1 WSP to support it. Pix will get my gold and my wsp, since they came from Pix in the first place, but they won't get my dimes.

I'll take what I can get, wsp wise. It turned something completely useless for a lot of players into something slightly useful. I queued up wsp production for the first time in months. I can now get enough components to purchase something in slightly less time. That's a win for me.

You can sell bots and weapons, but I wouldn't recommend it, since you don't get all that much on the sale, and if you sell something that they later buff the crap out of, which has happened to some of us, you will regret it.
An exception would be if you have so much of something that you know you won't ever be able to use all of them.
