If pix would combine domination, rush and deathmatch with a capture the flag mode designed to strongly favor fast, light bots, and always assign the mode of each battle randomly, I think we would see significantly more variety in hangars.

Would love CTF mode but not sure if player pool and server would be up to it - great idea tho.

I disagree. More likely you'd see individuals/groups specialize for the ones they prefer and tank-out or leave matches for the ones they don't. If the player-base can't support being subdivided four ways then it shouldn't be forced upon them.

Pix is suffering for shrinking player base. The choice between "random" and "TDM" is simply to compensate lack of players in 2 shrinking queues. Choice is TDM (that most ppl apparently not exactly fond of) and Random where they have 2 pools combined to use 2 player pools at once. Again - smooth Pix...like a bag of bolts in a blender...

Ugh, I'd rather NOT play TDM with my main bots! I only play TDM when I want to mess around with a new build. Because there's no beacons, I can relax and take some time to analyse whatever build I'm trying out. If I got thrown into a TDM match with my orkan centric hangar, I'll be wrapped helixly around an inclined plane.

They are already planning on keeping it random and adding hangars to choose from after discovering what mode you got for 7500(ish) gold a piece...
It's a good idea sans the extra hangars though.
