You want to expand the Meta? Then you should limit the opportunity to obtain these upgrades to robots that basically no one uses in the upper leagues. Therefore, make these upgrades available ONLY to silver bots with NO special abilities:
Destrier Schutze Vityaz Golem Patton Boa Leo Natasha

That could actually do signficant damage, if it was executed perfectly and it would certainly make me laugh if I saw it, maybe even laugh harder if I was the recipient. Does anyone know if this would also work with a zenit?

I once had a couple of kills with a Leo that had TWO hp left. I don't remember, but don't think I still had all weapons at the time.

Not that I plan on equipping them, but what if you had a small bot like a Stalker equipped with noricums, and ran it right up to a large bot like a Lancelot or a Natasha, then fired them off. Would the adjacent bot get hit with the full salvo?

Heavy bot with fast-cooldown jumping AND stealth mode? Put a couple of flamethrowers on that mofo and I would be willing to bear its children! WHOA! I just recognized you Uhnonimis, I'm in Nitro too, under the user Destroyer XI Hello Destroyer. There are a bunch of Nitro Squad members on, but several are under names different than their player names.

Death match is not a bad idea for an alternate play mode, other than what would happen if all remaining bots had all their weapons blown off, which is unlikely but possible. I guess that could be programmed to be a draw.

That should make Pix very happy. I'm sure they're expecting a wave of new players because of it.

I've still got nothing to spend it on except kick me signs (paintjobs), although I do like the new "military" camo job for the Lance. Lol. I never heard them called that. The only painted bot I own is a "spare" stalker I won in an event, and I am pretty much oblivious to paint jobs on the battlefield. Does anyone out there preferentially target bots with fancy paint?

I won't tell you because then Pixx will se how much I saved and make Dash price x2 of my saving to push me spending $$$ Don't tell me that they already can see how much I have, you are lying :-D They *can* see your gold, but they are way too busy hacking into voting software around the world to actually take a look.

I agree. Targeting has gotten more jumpy. And lock occasionally sticks for me too.

Dobrý den, Tatamat! I've said it before, but I still wish you had stayed with Nitro Squad.
I start all of the maps with a mid ranger, mostly with the trident pin Leo, for a number of reasons:
First, my hangar is heavy with them. I like playing the mid range because you are usually far enough away that you do not get blown up immediately, while being close enough that you can still deal significant damage and, as in this case, opportunistically beacon cap.
Second, most of the people I squad with, either clanmates or randoms, seem to open with snipers, beacon cappers or knife fighters, so my mid ranger tends to round out the squad.
Finally, as everyone is spawned at once, there is a greater chance of bots being bunched together, which means my splash damage will likely be more effective.
P.S. I guess I should figure out how to tag things!

You could teach her the basics. Then in due time when Pixonic comes out with the 1vs1 you guys could battle it out. Having a very competitive... Um... "It's cimplcated"... I'm not sure this would be wise. Sure you may win... But even then you will lose... A lot! No, you just bet... something on the outcome, so that even if you lose, you still win. I'm sure you can think of something appropriate to wager. And in this instance, nobody would be down on you for tanking.

Still think Pix should have a reward in place for atypical accomplishments like this, goes a long way with mediocre players with the occasional OMG war story. It would be super hard/super expensive to implement, but I understand the attraction. I am a mediocre player, but every once in a while I put together a really good effort.

4 players should have been able to kill 1 rogatka, and I don't care what they were piloting. Appropriate tactics would have mousetrapped you. That said, good job!

Hah, beat me to it GS.
Hello Nadus. Please note that Nitro Squad has several asian members, including one of our officers, and other players who are active at odd (for where they live) times, so you can usually find someone to squad with.

It would actually be easier for active mid-level players (weapons and bots in the 7-9 range) like me to get these bots without paying, since our big stashes (I have about 125 million at the moment) of silver have not beem depleted by the titanic upgrade costs of the uppermost levels.

I wpuld suggest a Leo (maybe even 2, but I have a soft spot for the clunky 「illegitimate child」s). That big batch of hit points counts for a lot in the lower leagues.
And start saving for that 5th slot. It is more important than anything else you could save for, even if it will take you a couple of months. Once I added my 5th slot, my rating went up quite significantly.

If Pix wanted to really throw everybody a curve, they would make the bots available for silver. Great big mounds of it, say in the 50,000,000 Ag range.

I'll talk it through as I remember it. I apologize in advance, as I can never remember the letter designations of the beacons. This was a random player match, no tankers on either side.
I spawned in the frontmost spot and headed for the home beacon. I saw a couple of light, quick blues sprinting left for the overpass ramp. I flipped the home beacon (1) and saw no one in the underpass so I went that way. Just as I enter the underpass, I see a small red crossing. I lead him well, for once, and obliterate him without slowing down, just as I turn the center beacon (2).
If there are any reds close, I usually pause and often start backing up there. In this case, all the reds are way off on either flank, so I continue straight and flip their home beacon (3). I see what I think is a Leo coming out of their spawn, and fire a salvo at him, but after treb/gekkoing me, he goes to his left, after someone else--lots of activity on that end. I look to *my* left, and see that the fighting there is over, with the only survivor being a single, half-dead red. I head that way, and it turns out to be a Griff, loaded with missiles. We both unleash hell, but I have a bunch more hp and he falls, after which I flip the left side beacon (4). I loop around toward the overpass, see a Stalker, damage him, but then a bunch of aphids come over the overpass and wipe him out.
Since I am heading that way anyway, and I see it has gone red, I move for the center beacon, taking some zaps from a damaged zeus Carny, who I kill as I turn the center beacon for a second time (5). The right-hand side beacon fighting has died down, with the Stalker and that Carny, I guess being the survivors, but the beacon is red, so I head that way. I have about a third of my health left. As I approach, I see a fresh thunder carny and some sort of griff heading my way in the distance. I will not be able to escape, but I am much closer to the beacon, so I continue toward it, unloading on the griff as I go. The beacon turns blue (6) about a half second before my Leo buys the farm.

Who says the Leo ain't a beacon capper? I just capped 6 beacons on the Moon map with a single Trident-Pin Leo. LOL
