Who says the Leo ain't a beacon capper? I just capped 6 beacons on the Moon map with a single Trident-Pin Leo. LOL

Who says the Leo ain't a beacon capper? I just capped 6 beacons on the Moon map with a single Trident-Pin Leo. LOL Ummm, how did it happen? Actually, you're right, it's possible! Two scenarios come to my mind: 1) Two midrange Leos hugging the wall by the side beacon play push-and-retreat. And the beacon goes like crazy red-white-blue-white-red-white-blue.... 2) Leo's jogging backwards all around, pursued by plasma Fujin. Each time Leo strikes, Fujin has to stop & draw Ancile, so he never reaches his plasma range. All other bots are rolling with laughter on the floor so they can't shoot... Edit: 6 beacons, you say? My Natasha is ready for the challenge

I'll talk it through as I remember it. I apologize in advance, as I can never remember the letter designations of the beacons. This was a random player match, no tankers on either side.
I spawned in the frontmost spot and headed for the home beacon. I saw a couple of light, quick blues sprinting left for the overpass ramp. I flipped the home beacon (1) and saw no one in the underpass so I went that way. Just as I enter the underpass, I see a small red crossing. I lead him well, for once, and obliterate him without slowing down, just as I turn the center beacon (2).
If there are any reds close, I usually pause and often start backing up there. In this case, all the reds are way off on either flank, so I continue straight and flip their home beacon (3). I see what I think is a Leo coming out of their spawn, and fire a salvo at him, but after treb/gekkoing me, he goes to his left, after someone else--lots of activity on that end. I look to *my* left, and see that the fighting there is over, with the only survivor being a single, half-dead red. I head that way, and it turns out to be a Griff, loaded with missiles. We both unleash hell, but I have a bunch more hp and he falls, after which I flip the left side beacon (4). I loop around toward the overpass, see a Stalker, damage him, but then a bunch of aphids come over the overpass and wipe him out.
Since I am heading that way anyway, and I see it has gone red, I move for the center beacon, taking some zaps from a damaged zeus Carny, who I kill as I turn the center beacon for a second time (5). The right-hand side beacon fighting has died down, with the Stalker and that Carny, I guess being the survivors, but the beacon is red, so I head that way. I have about a third of my health left. As I approach, I see a fresh thunder carny and some sort of griff heading my way in the distance. I will not be able to escape, but I am much closer to the beacon, so I continue toward it, unloading on the griff as I go. The beacon turns blue (6) about a half second before my Leo buys the farm.

Well done! Interesting to open Moon with midranger... P.S.: Without being tagged, it takes me a while till I come to the thread again. If it was for my eyes, please add a tag.

The moon map is a good place to cap plenty of beacons. I remember capping 9 with my Stalker but I was bonfire dancing with light reds.

Dobrý den, Tatamat! I've said it before, but I still wish you had stayed with Nitro Squad.
I start all of the maps with a mid ranger, mostly with the trident pin Leo, for a number of reasons:
First, my hangar is heavy with them. I like playing the mid range because you are usually far enough away that you do not get blown up immediately, while being close enough that you can still deal significant damage and, as in this case, opportunistically beacon cap.
Second, most of the people I squad with, either clanmates or randoms, seem to open with snipers, beacon cappers or knife fighters, so my mid ranger tends to round out the squad.
Finally, as everyone is spawned at once, there is a greater chance of bots being bunched together, which means my splash damage will likely be more effective.
P.S. I guess I should figure out how to tag things!
