Just a suggestion on social etiquette: if you advertise here for members then ignore their applications and pm's, not only does that reflect poorly on you as clan leaders, it is not welcoming and it's inconsiderate of people's time. Please try to be courteous and respond to them, even if it is to decline enrollment. Maybe even recommend a more suitable clan for them if you can. Otherwise, maybe better not to keep saying people are welcome. Just sayin' I definitely feel this could apply to me (not saying it was intended to at all). I've been trying to pare back some of the things I do inclan, because I've taken so much on. When we were smaller, it was manageable, but now AN is so massive that it's like a juggling routine where the balls don't stop coming. ANd that hits everything, like PM time, personal time, all sorts of stuff. ANd yet ultimately, none of that is the potential recruit's concern, or even their understanding. THey just get silence. Thanks for posting this. I need to accelerate some of my handoff. |

Whatever. I'm plenty active, just haven't been here years. Pardon me for not reading every single thread. I ask and answer questions, offer advice and congrats when I can and when I have something to contribute. I just don't type out manifestos about the game. My bad. But I have urges to buy some card packs every time I see you mention it. Step 1: Find your friendly, local gaming store that's part of the Wizards Play NetworkStep 2: Call the store and ask if they have the free, 30-card "sample decks" in stock for new and returning players Step 2a: If they don't, call the next store on the list Step 3: Stop by and pick up two sample decks and scratch the itch for free. |

Only certain people are in the poll. So only certain people are given a chance to win. If I want to pick someone who isn't in the predecided list I can't. If someone else wanted to pick me they can't. Feels kinda clique-ish. *shrugs.. moving on. In the end of it all, they're giving away 70,000 total IP to the people here for simply doing what we were already doing. I don't understand the people, however few they may be, that are complaining about it. It's an awesome event to give us something for nothing. There is a well-known axiom of the Magic: the Gathering community that states, if Wizards of the Coast started putting $20 bills in each booster pack, players would complain about how they were folded. I have found a lot of wisdom in that. |

This is week 2, which means that we've had two threads go by where folks have been nominating people for inclusion. If there's someone you want to see listed, keep an eye out for the next one this coming Monday. It's literally the opposite of clique-ish. |

What is the purpose of this thread? Is it a popularity contest? What criteria are people using to choose? How do you decide who is in the poll? It's a contest. 16 winners will each get 3500 IP, then the final winner of the 16 gets another 14,000 or so.

How do you know if you are in the Leaver's Queue? Is there any official notification from Pixonic, or do you just have to kind of realize that you are in the Leaver's Queue? I am a relative noob to the game. Very new to the forum. So sorry if this is an old question or common knowledge. Well correct me if I'm wrong, but if you enter a match that is already started, and the clock is probably 9:30 you're most likely in LQ. This just means you've been brought in to replace someone else who's left the match. Doesn't indicate queue. |

ALSO, and this is important- when we go to the final "bracket of sixteen," we will be using a seeding process. The four winners of Week Two will be considered seeds 5-8 (by order of votes), so vote accordingly!

I used to think deleting spammers was a real pain in the 「bum-bum」, but then I discovered there is a super-easy, super-convenient, and above all FOOLPROOF AND CASUALTY-FREE way to do it. It does suck to lose a legit thread. That said, thanks to all the VSTF guys for stepping up to help the forum. Hopefully my helpful graphic here makes this even easier.  |

Released in 1997, this set remains one of the greatest Magic: the Gathering sets/blocks ever produced. It was such a wellspring of creativity for WotC that half the mechanics they came up with for the set got removed and used in Urza block (cycling, echo). An engaging story that would eventually drag on waaay too long, this was the dawn of the three-set story arc that would come to define the game for nearly the next two decades. An absolute slam dunk of a set, and one of the top five of all time.  |
