So. As I was deleting spam one day, I accidentally pressed on shaolinrogue 's new UI Feedback thread and deleted it, along with some 15 Babaji's love threads. I am truly sorry for this and I hope that none of you will hold this accident against me.  Is there any way of reviving that thread, because some of those feedbacks that you guys wrote seriously had to be done? |

@darkangel12s no hard feelings, 「dookie」 happens. Dredd mentioned that it cannot be recovered. I'm just waiting for Pix to let me know if I missed the window for them to consider it. They are on a tight timetable with a lot of ambitious changes to roll out this summer. If there is still time i will make a new thread & reassemble the input, should find out tomorrow.

Yeah DA, 「dookie」 happens. I think the salient points can still be regathered if there is time... so no worries.
Thanks for cleaning out that crap. Spam gets REALLY old.

I guess I could filter it, but I usually delete all the posts from the 'Recents' page. Its a bit easier to mass delete there especially when there are multiple account spamming.

Oh... well, there are usually some good threads mixed in, when I have seen the spam attacks... so, maybe filters would be a good idea. Sometimes just 1, sometimes several.

I used to think deleting spammers was a real pain in the 「bum-bum」, but then I discovered there is a super-easy, super-convenient, and above all FOOLPROOF AND CASUALTY-FREE way to do it. It does suck to lose a legit thread. That said, thanks to all the VSTF guys for stepping up to help the forum. Hopefully my helpful graphic here makes this even easier.  |

Hopefully my helpful graphic here makes this even easier. ^^ exactly that ^^ At first I did it it more manual way, but for some weeks now I use the principle shown in above diagram. Just few clicks and done. One thing I would add though is to first ban the pest (with global id ticked) before going to "threads" link. |

Isn't there a way to prevent the spam bots from even posting here in the first place? Maybe tighten up the security or user authentication upon registration.
