Clan Leaders & Recruitment Officers
Just a suggestion on social etiquette: if you advertise here for members then ignore their applications and pm's, not only does that reflect poorly on you as clan leaders, it is not welcoming and it's inconsiderate of people's time. Please try to be courteous and respond to them, even if it is to decline enrollment. Maybe even recommend a more suitable clan for them if you can. Otherwise, maybe better not to keep saying people are welcome. Just sayin'
Pilots seeking Clan & Clan Members
If War Robots Pilots pm you here, Facebook, Discord, clan chat, squad chat, or email, have some respect for others time and respond to them. If they communicate strategies in discord or otherwise post something requesting some participation on your part, it is really rude to ignore them. In fact, if you are in a clan and do this enough, don't act surprised when you are dismissed. Bear in mind that each clan has its own requirements, often determined by what the clan objectives are. If you know Discord is required or that you need to meet a certain cup level requirement, don't act like the unheard of has happened then take it personally and act like a 2yr old if you're dismissed, but rather thank them for having even accepted you in the first place! It is simply that there are plenty of other clans that are a better fit for you, no. big. deal.
This also applies if you are seeking a clan, you didn't read their requirements before requesting membership, and you get rejected. If for example you have a 3hangar and it says 5hangar, don't send a request. If you do meet requirements and get rejected, don't take it personally, just keep looking, place a clan wanted ad, and look for clans on Facebook for further info about them.
Overall point is, if you don't respect others, they will not respect you. If you're gonna be a cry baby and quit the game, or seek revenge on previous clanmates because of your own lack of respect or participation, you won't get far in this community or game, so please get on board.

I've been trying to pare back some of the things I do inclan, because I've taken so much on. When we were smaller, it was manageable, but now AN is so massive that it's like a juggling routine where the balls don't stop coming. ANd that hits everything, like PM time, personal time, all sorts of stuff. ANd yet ultimately, none of that is the potential recruit's concern, or even their understanding. THey just get silence. Thanks for posting this. I need to accelerate some of my handoff. |

I always reply. Had a guy the other day ask to join but he is level 21 and not ready for Kaos. I actually steered him toward Dredd and his group of clans since they have such a wide range of pilots in all leagues. If I cant help you. I do my best to point them to someone who can.

I agree 100%. This recently happened to me with the wiki clan. Posted on their forums, and also sent a message to an ios leader on Line but never got a response even though I saw he read the message on Line and also posted something on the forums. My impression of that clan went from high expectations to now thinking the leaders are rude jerks! The whole situation actually kinda pissed me off! Gladly accepted another clans invite a day or two later!

If your going to play a game that is with anon persons on the internet and expect everyone to be a nice guy, or able to manage a clan the way you want, or able to answer all your messages, or do exactly what you want in terms of the clan........then try being a little realistic and don't over expect they all have the same amount of time to dedicate to the game, same ability to answer every message, etc. so instead, just play the game........not really anything to make a comment such as you did, it applies to the situation.....just don't worry about it and play the game..... Oh and by the way....another unnamed person used to use a much cruder but similar saying almost with the blessing of the mods, something along the lines of "shut up and play".....so not sure what the double standard is......... |

OK well out of common courtesy, as the thread is named (although as said, wasn't taken from his saying) will revise it, so I don't sound as rude as when other say it......although it can be a pretty rude saying and quite bullying in nature, since we all try to get along, now that I think about it. So I revise in order to keep the all get along part and people shouldn't be so rude to others on here....but in general it's how I feel about everyone and this whole "clan thing" and complaints about teammates, etc.......
You are meshing individual game, with team play....different cultures, different abilities, different "cares" about gaming seriousness, different ages, different languages.....stop worrying about all the trivial stuff and just play and have fun.....

Most of the clans on here are super nice. I will say though that they do tend to get a little crazay and super serious sometimes (i.e. crafting 'legal-tier' documentation, websites too complex for a f2p android game, creating stories/fables/lore about the origins of the clan, clan wars/rivalries).
