How do you know if you are in the Leaver's Queue? Is there any official notification from Pixonic, or do you just have to kind of realize that you are in the Leaver's Queue? I am a relative noob to the game. Very new to the forum. So sorry if this is an old question or common knowledge.

No worries, it never hurts to ask. Presently, there's no way to know. If you're concerned, avoid tanking and map skipping.

But they won't help you out of it. They will tell you that the only way to get back in NQ is to play every battle to the end and don't skip maps.

If you provide the info it should be easy to tell along the line what Jarvis was mentioning above.

Well correct me if I'm wrong, but if you enter a match that is already started, and the clock is probably 9:30 you're most likely in LQ. But yeah, as Dredd77 said, just don't skip maps and leave prematurely. But it is totally fine to leave battle if you mech out, just means you need to revise your strategy and strengthen your bots to stay in battle longer!

Now that you've mentioned, I notice before when the match starts, someone leaves the game, and magically a while later, a totally new player drops in our match!

From Pix:
"Players who leave battles systematically are penalized in terms of getting placed into a separate matchmaking queue, isolated from other players who play fair. So-called leavers queue. To answer your question, in fact every leave is penalized (be it a map skip if you abandon a battle before the countdown, be it a connectivity issue or an incoming call) but if it happens now and then it does not have much of an impact. The system detects systematic leaves. In other words, if you abandon battles occasionally you will not be penalized."
2nd Pix follow up:
"Oh, sorry I did not include it in my first reply. You do not have to wait for the battle to end if you run out of robots — you will not be penalized."
And to the op question, yes you can ask and they will tell you whether you are in the LQ or not but they won't provide specifics on numbers that get you in LQ or how long it will take to get out of the queue.

Good info to know. I was placed in there once & it was actually kind of fun for a day or 2. I ended up with 10 gold almost every match. Started to get annoying after a while though and got out in about 4 days - I think when I got promoted to higher league. Ever since then I've been super careful and get stressed if I lose connection. It's nice to know that every once in a while is okay. I also didn't know it was okay to leave if you mech out. Thanks for the info.

Glad to pass along what I learn in game and from Pix. Real life you're on your own, lol... jk

You'll know. If you see Cossacks and Destriers running around doing nothing except maybe firing at you, and players from all leagues in the same match, you're there. It's pretty amusing.
