Problem is, I’d have to start all over with a pilot, too. I plunked down a … a lot for a maxed Vox. I already had Stefania maxed on the Lancer - not much left for guided weapons. The only other good pilot I have standing by is Major for assault weapons, but there’s nothing in that category that interests me. I’m absolutely not dropping any more cash on anything, and I’m low on a-coins because I dumped them all ranking up those @$#&*% DL’s. Which leaves me with whatever I can scrounge up for credits. Or scrap the build I just blew all my resources on and go back to the Tengu with Embers. Or stick with one mech. Or quit this crapshow entirely, because every game is no-fun magic mech city again, which is what I was hoping to avoid with my previously cheapskate hangar. Yeah, I hear you. I think Stalker might still be alright with DLs if you have the Predator Drive implant. With Vox you have 70% damage boost (if maxed) for guided weapons. Stalker adds another 50% when its ability is active and a maxed gold implant ups that 30% more to 80% total. Combined with its splash radius and ability to shoot from behind cover, that might still be enough even if there no longer are extra side/back damage boosts. It won't be the terror it once was, but played well it could still be decent. Major will be handy for non-assault weapons. I never got around to getting him but I've always wanted him as an extra EMR pilot. Interestingly, Pod Guns only have 2 implants: reload and damage. They come in both gold (30% max) and purple (23% max) and there is a blue reload as well. So you could just stick them on the purple barrage pilot (Impulse I think?) and still have a slot for the gold Predator Drive implant. The gold pilot would be better because you could then put on Ability Cooldown too, but I think they gave away Impulse free a while back, so if you got her then you don't have to worry about A-Coin costs. I'm just trying to keep my Stalker DL12 in my hangar as much as possible til the nerf hits. Enjoy the last of the glory days while I can.

Yes, let’s rub some more salt in the wound - I just got a gold DL reload implant from one of the daily implant freebies.
And I got scolded by an idiot in support for using bad language. Well that’ll teach me.

I'm still just going to stick to achievement hunting before leaving T1. The 900 auto cannon kills with Paragon can't be completed any other way. Redfiend Umm... why yes, it can. I done finished it a few days ago. Ran a full hanger with lighter damage weapons and my Paragon was the only bot with a pilot. You just have to suffer through getting mowed like grass.

I’ve got Stephania maxed with the legendary Stalker predator drive and Dl implants. Nearly everything’s maxed. I think I’ll just continue to run it and adjust. It won’t be the beast it once was but it’ll still have its moments. Just had a match that sums up what MAs becoming too frequently. Three randoms (me included) against three squadies. Squadies have EMR/RG Eclipses. Radon’s don’t. Squadies get the upper hand and the angle on the spawn area. Mechs get iced within moments of spawning. Yawn. I’m done for the evening. Great job Plarium! I’m saving money. I don’t pay to be frustrated and haven’t spent anything yet this year.

I've been away for quite a few months now, just logged in and find it hilarious that the eclipse is still $99... glad I walked away from this seems like they are more than ever making everyone chase new items and money grabs.. you all are better than me sticking through it, hah.

I think it’s time for a break. MM has no rules any more. I think the Stalker with DL8’s was the tipping point - since I added those, it’s just been an increasing flood of every top-tier magic mech out there. Used to be once or twice a day, now it seems like every game there’s a Seeker on the tail of my Lancer with HR’s and zero warning, which I have absolutely no counter for. Or an Eclipse or Surge showing up out of nowhere that I can neither outrun nor jump away from, and forget about killing any of them because they can all just pop within the HR’s minimum range in the blink of an eye. And forget about maxing any of these mechs in this lifetime - Lancer needs literally thousands of bp’s to finish the last two levels, which isn’t happening unless I pay for a crap-ton of a-coins, which I refuse to do. So I can sit there and be magic weapon fodder, or save myself more rounds of cussing and just take a break. This game is quickly becoming another War Robots - they’re seeing to it that there is no winning, even if you avoid the wallet-draining rabbit hole.
