If you don't have any money/legal entanglements with her, dump her. There are better things to do with your time, energy, and liver. -says something personal- I'm poly, my partner and I have been together for almost three years with absolutely no complications, because sensibility and logic are king when it comes to other partners. If you're in an 'open' relationship and are getting wrecked, either find a solid mono relationship, or at least find someone that isn't using you as a crutch for their crap decisions. -story time over- I feel a bit misunderstood. It's totally normal for her and for me, to dump the other temporarely for someone else. The real downer for me is the guy, she choose this time. The only thing, that speaks for him, are his looks. I know him a little. Well, a little too good. He's the kind oft Person, that just has some fun with her, then dump her for real. Between her and myself, things are different, a bit. We know each other for ages. We're kind a like best friends, hm, with some benefits. Dumping her means, I met someone else, but we're still friends. Oh, and vice versa... |

Not to remove the relevance of the surprise sub-topic on this thread.
I think my general advice and direction are pretty much good now.
I have temporarily stored the carnage and gotten the third (plasma) griffin out of storage. Currently using a punisher T instead of one taran - I will be able to afford another in another day. I would have taken the taren of the DB griffin but this seemed the best all round option.
Anyway. Currently finished game 14 of a winning streak with my win % up to 84%. I think regardless of how well it worked for particular situations it was generally holding me back.
Current strategy: level galahads to 7/9. Level rest of weapons to 9. Level galahads to 8/10. Level rest of bots to 7. Level rest of weapons to 10 etc.
Not quite sure when the tiers will jump. Probably when weapons go to 9 I think.

Ps. One more win at 15 for the streak and it was over. Still have my win rate at 86% though.

I'm seeing more Heavies recently. Latest battle lost where opponents top finisher had 3 heavies at 6/5. However, maybe a fluke? That player has a 36% win rate.

Don't know if it is just MM out of wack recently, but do I keep with the loose recommendation of lights take to 4/8 or 4/9 and Med 4/6?
I recently posted on MM thread (http://war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/679/mm?page=1&scrollTo=14249) If there could be anything to upgrading heavy hard point weapons in particular that might push one up a tier sooner that one would think?
Currently, I'm upgrading Golem to lvl 3. Maybe I'll take my second boa to lvl 3. But I'm currently hesitant to pushing them up any further.
What do you all think?

so for one of your Boa's, for example, you had both taran AND thunder at to 8? Yes. But I wasn't worried about trying to desperately stay in bronze. I think I was in low silver. But 3/8 mediums were definitely competitive regardless of the standard. |

Yes. Thanks moody. I'm not trying to stay in bronze for too long either. Just wanted to make sure I don't jump up to prematurely.

Both Galahads level 7, First weapon starting the upgrade to level 9.... this is going to take a while.
I am upgrading the weapons on the two Galahads first with the hope that it will keep me in a lower tier longer than if I upgrade the heavies first.
Trying to decide if I should get a third Galahad and drop a Griffin (not quite there in gold yet).

In most circumstances the answer to "should I buy another Galahad?" is definitely a resounding YES! In general, if the answer was no then you probably wouldn't be asking.

I would like to have a Carnage. Maybe with two thunders. Along with the two Griffins and the Golem,
that should be a solid Hangar. What concerns me is the 20% penalty...

One of these bots is not like the others, one of these bots is not quite the same... If you are going to start using griffins, scrap the Golem. Unfortunately there aren't many Heavy bots that will instantly transfer all the weapons. (a vityaz transfers to a leo pretty easily). A dual Thunder Carnage is fun, but I need to upgrade mine a bit further I think (currently 6/8 and in storage). |

A dual Thunder Carnage is fun, but I need to upgrade mine a bit further I think (currently 6/8 and in storage). Agree. I have a carney L6 as well but find it's not fast/durable enough to run thunders. I run it now and then for fun but performance is not consistent enough to place in core hanger. With tridents though, 6/8 can still work. |
