WEYLANDAPPLY COPIOUS AMOUNT OF FIREPOWER. NO, THAT ISN'T ENOUGH. LEVEL THE SQUARE. REPEAT AGAIN, OVER. This is an unfortunate situation that is very likely to result in, if not defeat, then embarrassment. Where Weyland goes, bulky and heavily-armed Blue follows. Weyland is also the only healer to sling heavy weapons. The Puncher. The Prisma. The Smuta. Those ones. Weyland is able to move while healing and can also be outfitted with Nitro and/or Jump. Weyland is coming into its own on this, the bleeding edge of meta, and I look forward to further experimentation against dumb and clumsy Red. Make it stay still and kill it like that, or bait out its friends. Weyland is often the soft, sweet center of a bitter, jagged Blue shell. Don't break your teeth, dude. - This is how you engage and kill healers and their friends, at least as far as I run them. I mean, I'm an eccentric weirdo so keep that in your peripherals here. There's obviously going to be quite a but of variation during individual encounters, but these are things to be mindful of. As per always, I encourage vigorous discussion. VERY well said. I been running 2 weylands on weekends, now that I have 2 SE banes at mk1.6. Still have calamitys and some other higher lvl weps, but punchers on Big doc are sooo nice. Thinking I am going to give banes a run for a bit with the new meta not liking DoT weps. Should make for some fun matches. Had some good success with green boogies on an invader, only mk1.7, but still.

Jokes aside though, yes Murometz has to take one target at a time, but quickly knocking the healer out of the fight is worth it because I find offensives quickly loose momentum after sustaining a loss like that. Also, if you have three teammates following you, chances are I’m not in my Murometz, but rather flanking you and stealing your bacon!

079 - Yeah, for sure. None of that is anywhere near wrong and I totally agree. As far as I go, I am very rarely the first in any movement when a Red Titan is the air. I'd rather let Blue take the initial round in the forehead so I can heal it and go from there than get caught like that alone. Additionally, I'm probably not moving unless you're dead or otherwise occupied. Murometz is particularly unpleasant for me because of the ability. At the very least, Murometz is a killer speedbump for a healer-supported effort.

But you get that healer parked within about 200 yards or so, that Muro is gonna need help. The best is what I been trying to work on more with other players. Big doc weyland is usually my 3rd drop, and I try to find a Kepri to leash me up, then we adopt a titan. Sneak up with the Kepri assist just beside a wall on the other side of a Muro or pod of reds. Weyland watches the flanks and 6 while the titans do that titan stuff.

And I did notice immediately after I posted it.
Kept the shot for posterity.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - TEN or WORKIN' GRAVEYARDS
Khepri is cheese. Yep. Sure is. Pure cheese. If you don't like Khepri, I get it. If you actively hate on Khepri, I get that too. There's a lot to hate on as of right now. Khepri makes everyone else look good in addition to kicking in your stupid Red face. Keep your rancor in mind, though, when I leash you up and lead you victorious through absolute robo-hell.
During the SpaceTech task, it was pleasant to see the dozens and dozens of Nightingale back on the field. Observations showed me that two mediums and a light dropping onto Red's head after suppressing their whole effort is still viable and I believe Nightingale may be a recipient of a set of Blast shotguns when I get my sterile, soft little hands on them.
Halo Khepri piloted by Good Boy🐶 is hysterically funny. Full stop.
Tyr continues to be observed and utilized as a utilitarian workhorse. I really should toss together a knife-fighting/close support Tyr again. Maybe Cryo this time. Or Goo.
I've recently been vindicated regarding a Discord slap fight I was in. Apparently a high-stationed clanner said the flamers have no place on a Mariender. Apparently, I just need to get better stuff. Apparently, I dont know what I'm talking about. Apparently I'll murder you and leave you a twisted mass of burning plasteel and ceramite, take a screenshot, and then go run my mouth in your server! Ahem...
So check this out. Incinerator Weyland. ...That's it. That's as far as I've gotten with that so far.
So yesterday me and the guys, and girl, in my clan's morning crew dropped four Khepri, a Mariender, and a Bendy Fenrir in a couple of TDM games. Oh man, the speed. Blistering pace, wake of destruction, hysterically funny. Won't lie, I secretly hope we ruined at least one person's morning. Petty, I know. But still. If you've never run with a Death Squad, I highly suggest you try it. Hit me up. YYIIAU. I'm in Droid. I'll make you look good, dude.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - 'LEVEN
I spent roughly ten minutes on the War Robots Reddit, much to the detriment of my calm. It's almost like I left that cesspool for a reason. 'Build my hangar for me!' 'Is my Sonic Khepri good?' 'I hate everyone who beats me!' 'Change everything for me or I'm leaving the game!' Gross, dude. Just gross. Have some self-awareness. I mean, I'm a trash human, but at least I'm honest about it. Damn.
Clan drama, both internal and external, is something to be avoided. Put that in a fortune cookie.
Mid-range Tyr is unbelievably useful and needs more recognition. Maybe I'll put together a thing like I did with Demeter. Get a well-developed Tyr Lady⛑ in there, slap some 500m-600m dakka on it, and let fly. Tyr can still get punched in the face over and over again and keep fighting. That, and the healing burst is underrated, I think. The Green Circle is also great for herding wayward and spastic Blues around. I personally like bursty stuff, like Hussars or Fireballs, or sustained damage, like Punishers. No bad choices when the trigger time starts to add up.
Mender duels are becoming more common, which proves super fun. Mender on Mender slap fights are pure joy, if were being honest. Consider though, this question - 'Which Mender wins in a Mender fight?' Now extrapolate the answer based on your experiences. It may surprise you.
Cryo Nightingale is everything I remember so far. Getting leashed up by a Khepri after landing, or even just before, is turning into a great way to push Red back in a localized area or also to snatch a beacon and ditch. If Red is chasing your Nightingale, then who's watching their other beacons or holding their lines? Not them, for sure. I like a Repair Amplifier on it, and then Heavy Armor to keep the airborne harassment alive even harder.
I played with Tempest Weyland for funsies and you know who doesn't like Tempest Weyland? Erebus. Erebus doesn't like Tempest Weyland. Nor does Arthur. But Blue likes Tempest Weyland. They like it a lot.
Work is dumb and I'm cranky about it, which is why I'm wasting company time sitting on the toilet. Chill, though. It's not like theres anything to actually do. Maybe I'll sabotage something. Maybe I'll write something else. Who knows, dude.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - 'LEVEN-AN'-A-HAFF REDUX
I don't understand the motivation of the Red Khepri with no friends. I especially don't understand it when they come barreling across the field, with no support in tow, and attempt to get anywhere near Blue with any effect. Stop being an edgy loner and wrangle up some support before you go gallivanting to your doom. At least give my friends something else to shoot at.
Speaking of Khepri, Khepri has a multitude of friends, even the ones you wouldn't think. Erebus likes Khepri because Khepri can put it's big guns into position quickly. Apply the same logic to Behemoth, and things of similar purpose to Behemoth, and Blue suddenly has a commanding firing lane into territory which is to be contested. A long-distance shooter can be very useful, especially when it's in defilade ahead of its Red contemporaries. But if the big machine doesn't want to dance, proceed to ignore it. It doesn't understand and may need to be made to understand... by dying or whatever.
I demand a special edition Mender and I'm going to hold my breath until I get it.
Also, give me Yamantau back.
I demand it.

Weyland watches the flanks and 6 while the titans do that titan stuff. I had a Mender take out my Muro on Springfield recently. I took farm with my Muro defending a blue and crushing some reds. The Mender was at center and was literally peeking around the corner at me. I kept my blinders on the little murder turtle. Each time he emerged I blasted him. He was timing it perfectly. He’d hide out until his ability was charged and sprint to the next cover. The blinders (fully maxed Muro, 2 maxed onslaught reactors, fully maxed blinder set) could not take him out in a salvo, and he’d be on to the next closest hiding spot, charging himself up. I crept closer trying to get an angle and all I did was expose myself. During this time, a Blue Luchador leapfrogged over the mender, assuming I had it taken care of, on his way to retake center. Mender kept creepin. Eventually got close enough to do lots of green goo damage and slowly whittled my once full health Muro into scrap metal and proceeded to trot away with near full health. Given my love of Menders my tirade only lasted 3 seconds and was more directed at my over eager play exposing me to destruction than the adorable little healer/killer who just schooled a Titan.

How strong…strong enough that trotting to overtake a beacon with a Fenrir, a Behemoth, and an Orochi, we entered a brutal firefight that took out all the other bots and I was still defending the beacon when the next wave of blues showed up. I rarely trot off alone in my Khepri, but I very often end up that way.

It isn't uncommon for my Menders to maul or kill support Titans, especially Murometz. They're generally set up to bang at long range and can't rotate or strafe to get consistent dakka on Mender. And with bendies or anything with splash or spread, it makes it easy to push them behind cover or out from cover. That and all that nut-punching charges up the OS pretty quick, which rules.
Disregard the stupid parts of Khepri and focus on the good stuff. That's what's gonna stick and how it should be played to get used to assumed functions after the nerf. I feel like the Sonic Scarab will have its days numbered, but the mid-range Khepri will continue to be useful for the stretch.

REGARDING THE DYNAMIC KHEPRI - I AM SPEED *KER-CHOO!* We all know Khepri needs at least one good whack with the nerf hammer. This isn't about that. Quit clutching your pearls and chill.Khepri, that weird little floating scarab, has become a common, maybe the most common, first drop in this damnable game. Even after the nerfing, it's very likely to remain the first drop in my beacons/clanner hangar for quite a while. This is due to my belief that, although Khepri's base speed and durability will both be taking hits, the utility of being able to move Blue peices around the field quickly, especially at commencement of the round, will not be broken by the simple nerfs were likely to encounter. Do not think outside the box. Realize that there is no box... Now eat this pill, put on your cool-guy wraparounds and follow me. REVEAL THE CANNONSMy clan is a bunch of those no-goodnik rapscallions and ne'er-do-wells who run around dispensing wedgies and Hurt'z Donutz like they're gonna quick making them. They're pretty awful, but know what's worse? The absolute 「illegitimate child」 fancifully gliding around after them, keeping them alive and supercharging their dakka. As 'unfair' and 'cheatery' as those practices are, theres no doubt that, when it comes to blisteringly fast advances and whirling defensive movements, that 「cotton headed ninny muggins」 kinda might know some things. ALIGN THE GUNSKhepri is already fast and agile, moreso with Mean Girl 🖤 at the helm and a Nitro Unit or two. Right out of the gate, you're already faster than most. So, go grab the center beacon or blast up the middle and back into Red spawn? No. Those are both bad ideas. Grab a friend, probably another Khepri, and do the above actions? Maybe. Might work, might get you isolated and scrapped. Grab a huge gun platform and lead it into the fray, locking Reds down as targets or using your weapons to keep them away from your huge gun platform? I like this one. It's my very favorite one to do. There's a dude in my clan who will drop a Khepri or a Hawk on his first drop, as you do. Both are good choices for clan squads, so I'd never tell him to do otherwise. But, when I'm... I mean, when that awful, awful witch doctor is around, dude drops a Bendy Behemoth and just starts... lumbering. Almost immediately, a jacked up Khepri grabs him and starts orbiting, protecting the heavy weapons. Usually the Behemoth lumbers up to get a nice field of fire on the center beacon, or where it would be in TDM, and turns most big, bad Red facebreakers into tiny little shrinking violets. The minutia varies, but that's the general idea. This is not where you are done, particularly if your Blue friend is laying waste how you want it to. Stick around for a minute and make sure it's set up and secure in its location. Keep Red back, do a little healing if you have to, and stay moving. Khepri must always stay moving. You'll learn whether you need to grab the Blue gun carrier and escort it back or forward to a new position, or whether it's good where it is and can stay and bang. Take a peek around, check for gaps and thrusts, and keep spotting/screening for your friend until its unnecessary. Should Red get close, use your speed to disrupt its firing lines, juke it out of position, apply status, or get in Red's face and push it backward. Khepri can push most things, so that's still usually viable. Dance with Red as long as you have to, whether that means your death, your friends death, or loss of position. Hopefully the Blue situation has been moving well enough that they'll relieve you. If they don't... sucks to suck, dude. Been there. The same logic and tactics can be applied to Erebus, sometimes in an even more offensive fashion due to its organic yellow shield, dumb status-inflicting ability, and occasional extremely violent armament. Grab Erebus, walk it to where it needs to be, and start screening. It can lock down 800m and you can be 390m-ish away before your ability thread gets super thin. That's a roughly 400m area that Khepri can patrol, screen and skirmish for Erebus, and close enough to hustle back and grab it again. Somehow, even a cannon made of glass won't shatter with enough bubble wrap. Make it fast, make it brutal. Apply the same logic to flying robots, like Hawk and Fafnir. Grab 'em up and hurl them at Red. All that speed, trickle healing, and increased damage really gets them closer to being the terrible forces of nature that they were before their nerf cycles. In addition to the fact that a Khepri with full magazines will be right behind it. So that's pretty neat. UNLEASH THEIR WRATHThe time will come when Blue pulls their knives and gets closer to Red spawn. Or, alternatively, Red unleashes a flurry of limp-wristed rabbit punches and makes Blue stumble back. Either one is possible. At that time, consider not only the speed that Khepri grants, but also its damage boost to your Blue friends. This is where, as far as I'm personally concerned, Khepri shines. Bolting around behind Blue movement, laying down skunion at Red, linking up with the right Blues to forward the spearhead or blunt Red's advance. ' The right Blues' is a rather nebulous statement, right? Gonna depend a lot on what's going on and what you wanna be doing. For backing off the gas and moving around Blue pieces, whatever thing happens to have huge defenses and huge-r guns. You want the Behemoth or the Erebus or the Fenrir or, oddly enough, the Demeter or Tyr. Consider the ability to be punched directly in the face here. Come up with more options within your randoms as you move or know what your squad buddies are running around with. Battlefield attention is paramount in these rapid movements backward. If sticking the knife in Red's squishy underside, speed is again Khepri's best friend. Shell, Revenant, Skyros, Orochi, or another Khepri are great options for the task. Push deep, push fast, and dont stop until you're in the Red backfield. From Blue spawn to Red spawn, on Carrier, in super-fast Khepri, should take less than thirty (30) seconds. Consider your speed and leverage it toward victory. On the push or retreat, Khepri must perform triage on all Blues. I won't run down my whole process of doing so, as it doesn't make any sense, but you may have to decide who lives and dies. Look at weapon counts. Look at Last Stands. See who can move well or who's legs are broken. Leave the crippled and barely-armed and focus on the Blues who can still stand and bang. Thems the breaks, dude. This is a little series of thoughts I wanted to get out because of the fumble-and-bumble I've seen in the random Blue and Red Khepri. Stop trying to sponge up all the damage and embrace the SUPPORT aspect of Khepri. I believe that it won't be long until its 'reduced' to that role and should be happily used as such. Also, this was only forward and backward movement with different Blue friends in consideration. We haven't even gotten to the ground management of weather chickens, Titan command and control, and which setups look the coolest. Oh man, this thing is gonna be nerfed by the time I find that motivation.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - I'M NOT NUMBERING THESE ANYMORE Know how there's those two little bridges on Springfield? Over in the 'urban' section? If you get a Khepri, and a friendly Khepri to make it faster, you can use those as kick boxes to do sick high-speed 180s and ollies, spewing dakka the whole time. It isn't particularly useful, but super fun and it looks awesome. The fact that its Qual Week and there wasn't any sort of a good deal for me on Honor Boosters makes me sad. I need all the help I can get, dude. The new trash-compactor Titan gats remind me of a manticore tail and it weirds me out a little. Also, do no research into that reference, please. Fortune Cookies - Ancient Robots Secrets. Could that be a thing? I wanna make it a thing, mostly as a challenge to tighten up my writing. Flowery prose and loquacious palaver is delightful, but why use many word when few word do? I've noticed that Khepri is being disregarded in favor of Mender, as far as Red targeting goes. This is hysterical to me because if Red is shooting one in the face, the other is shooting Red in the back. Oh, Red. So dumb and clumsy. I had a wonderful slap fight with another 600m Tyr who knew what he was doing. We were on Castle and he used his Wasps/Magnetars to interdict Blue flyers and weather chickens. I was hurling Hussar and Marquess bolts at him and also trying to check Red air assets. Blue won that span of time, but then the Revenants and Titans came out and we got sliced up bad for a 28-33 loss. But, those four-and-a-half minutes were glorious. Another aspect of Qual Week that I don't like is that unqualified players seem to be placed against literally anyone until they qualify. There were two games yesterday where I ran roughshod over Red and then, checking their profiles after the game, found a bunch of Experts and Masters. Really, though? Go by placing in the last season, maybe? I'm not a smart person, but that would make more sense.

BAIT AND SWITCH - A ROBOTS STORYRed was being dumb and clumsy, as Red often did. He had just recaptured his home beacon after a deft and cunning maneuver from the gallant Blues. Blues were often gallant, as is common knowledge. But Red wasn't thinking about gallantry, he was thinking about the chirpy burn of Magnums and the steady thump of a Teran splattering across his back. Melted laminate armor ran in rivulets down Red's six o'clock before he was cognizant enough to turn around. Red was often dumb and clumsy.
Red eventually spotted the source of his annoyance in the form of a little white and red robot usually known as Mender to his friends. Mender had lots of friends. Mender was skipping back and forth, alternating fire from Teran and Magnum, as he made adorable little squeaks and beeps. Mender often squeaked and beeped as he ran headlong around the streets of Dead City, emitting waves of green nanobots to help his Blue friends, as well as splashing plasma on Red sensitive areas. Mender was very helpful.
This particular Red, though, was called Revenant and was kind of a big deal. He had fancy skirt armor, goo-puking hoses of death, a scary paint job, and the ability to transmogrify his whole robot from way over there to right in your face in the blink of a photo eye. Revenant did not fear any Blue robot, especially something that looked like a poor imitation of a fishing bobber. Revenant decided that he would be the one to end Mender's endearing beeps and squeaks and green waves and weaksauce plasma. Red was often dumb and clumsy.
White and red Mender kept spitting fireballs at black and green Revenant, skipping backwards and side to side. After one too many fireballs, Revenant had had enough horseplay. Wiggling his nose in a very invisible manner, Revenant activated his transmogrification. At the same time, he also wondered, very briefly, why Mender hadn't run for cover, terrified of him like most other robots?
Reappearing in a scary and abrupt manner, directly in front of Mender, Revenant released his corrosive payload at point blank range. Revenant smiled a cold smile as he saw Mender's stunning white and red paint begin to dissolve under his toxic assault. 'Soon,' he thought, 'Mender will know about melted armor, too.'
Upon being splashed with green sludge, Mender stopped moving. Beeping and squeaking, Mender hugged himself tightly and emitted his waves. Mender seemed to chortle as his paint began to reappear rapidly, much to the chagrin of Revenant. Mender's weapons, though, were quiet. Unsettlingly quiet.
Revenant didn't have time to process where the blindingly fast railgun penetrators had come from before they smashed into his fancy skirt armor. The otherwise formidable shield was cracked and broken, rendered useless. Barely a moment had past before booming blasts of visible sound waves hammered Revenant into a structure, pinning him against the wall. Revenant could scarcely feel the low hum of a striking Scorpion, as the overclocked speaker-blasters had shattered the photo eyes, and weapons, and super structure, and articulation joints on that side of him. Revenant slumped against the wall, barely hanging to life, still looking at Mender.
Mender and Scorpion exchanged beeps and squeaks before Scorpion spun in a circle and blinked away. Mender knew she would be running back to Jaeger before they moved across the other side of Dead City to help Mender again later. Mender hoped that Shell and Fenrir might be there, too. They had helped Mender like this earlier in the day against a dumb and clumsy Red called Orochi. Mender had lots of friends.
Mender turned to face Revenant again, looking over his shattered, failing hulk. Mender did see, though, that Revenant was still alive. Scorpion had run out of time before she had to leave. 'I will help Scorpion finish her job,' thought Mender as he aimed his plasma weapons directly at Revenant's exposed reactor core. Mender was very helpful. This is truly the most beautiful thing ive ever read Id call it poetry but that would taint its beauty Also this is exactly how i would personify mender

This is hysterical to me because if Red is shooting one in the face, the other is shooting Red in the back. Oh, Red. So dumb and clumsy. I do this because if Mender is there constantly re-upping the vitality of an Uber tank, you’ll never kill either. It’s like focusing on Nodens as the main Titan problem.
I had a wonderful slap fight with another 600m Tyr who knew what he was doing. We were on Castle and he used his Wasps/Magnetars to interdict Blue flyers and weather chickens. Blue won that span of time, but then the Revenants and Titans came out and we got sliced up bad for a 28-33 loss. But, those four-and-a-half minutes were glorious. Slap fight . Was it me? That is my Tyr build…not that it is all that revolutionary that no one else is running it…Another aspect of Qual Week that I don't like is that unqualified players seem to be placed against literally anyone until they qualify. There were two games yesterday where I ran roughshod over Red and then, checking their profiles after the game, found a bunch of Experts and Masters. Really, though? Go by placing in the last season, maybe? I'm not a smart person, but that would make more sense. Smart enough my friend…smart enough to know that shot makes total sense.

Going down from C12 to M1 but having tons of fun with this all the day long. THIS ONES FOR YOU DOC!
Besides once you hit about C9 it's just a bendie, blindy fest of 「fluffernutter」ery I don't really care for. I topped out at C6 but bowed out once the green crack ran out, so I wouldn't get Legendary cups. Everyone here knows my MK1 hanger is real but the last thing I need is some noobtard posting a pic of me with Legend cups stating I'm hiding my MK3 and maxed titan hanger someplace. I'm liking imitating the good doctor but will probably switch back to my standard or modified hangers for task.

I'm just working on some new Heavy gear for my second weyland. Its one thing to get the warm fuzzy feeling from a kill, even more with a win. Its a different yet similar ego boost when you have a healer, see a cluster of blues, or even a titan or two in need of some health, so you saunter on over and bam, they are back in the game. It literally just happened in my last match. 3 min left, 3/2 reds beacon control. 2 Luchies center beacon just killed 2 revs, and have less than 1/4 health. 5 seconds later, I am sandwich between the 2 off to the side of reds spawn area with buildings blocking us cutting off one route, but my titans were back to decent health as we clenched the game 4/1 for us.

You're a Mod, Ollie. That makes you exactly tolerable. Definitely not more, and probably not less. Boom. #Roasted But yeah, I recall running one once or twice with Cryo on it. Really enjoyed the good parts, but the bad parts were stunningly bad. And you figure it's still tanky? I mean tanky enough to hold the pocket until Blue gets there, considering the current meta. I hope you're right, as I'd love to drop a JDAM in the middle of Red after the flight ran out. And PewPew Lady🔫. That's fantastic. Also, shawngonakillyou , regarding both my love of status and desire for brawling setups, I don't believe the tasers would work great. Tasers are killer for dropping status at a distance, or backing Red off, but I've personally found very little use for them as a brawling weapon. Granted the lock-on maker-better pilot skill can make things a lot quicker, I'd still rather have the option of dumb firing in a close, fast knife fight with multiple Reds. But if you're clotheslining Red with tasers at punching range, that's awesome. Learn the Tyr. Look past the trees. See the forest. Be the ball, dude. Be the ball.Be the ball this aged wonderfully

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - GNARLY CURMUDGEON
Why is a place with a high concentration of scrubs always so unbelievably toxic? You ever spend any time on the official War Robots Discord? It's a cluster「fluffernutter」 of painful opinions, stupid emojis and that ridiculous 「illegitimate child」ization of the word 'Yes.' Drop the second letter and you've caught up to DOS language. And they also seems to communicate in clown heads. I hate zoomers. Get off my lawn.
Finally realized why everyone says Khepri is so tanky - they're building them for durability. How boring. Build it for speed. Do jumps with it. Pull off a sick, rotating 180 degree, mid-air kill, from 400m away. I'm to the point of hitting a kick ramp and overshooting my landing to the point of death. So fun, dude. Next is the Jump module. Gotta catch that hangtime. I gotta figure out a good ramp, too. Next up, 540 McTwist into a Titan grind into an Erebus kill. I know what I'm talking about, dude. I played Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.
These news Blast shotguns are also super fun. Love me Blast effect. Love me shotguns. Simple as. Almost too bursty, though. I've got a set of 2.6s on one of my Mender and it does fine as a defensive armament, and can strip shields like none other. Recently though, I've had to pick up a new tablet which lags a bit. Can really take the edge off the violent blast of those barrels when you miss half the salvo. Weird, right?
Thats what the Blast shotguns do real well - strip shields. Northlight shield gets shredded pretty okay, normal Aegis is torn apart. For some reason unbeknownst to me, nobody seems to wanna shoot at Northlight shields. Are they too big? Is it too much? Will someone else do it so you can steal the kill? Sure, dude. I gotchu.
The ball is still dumb. Don't @ me.
I'm still very happy seeing Ravana, Invader, and Nightingale back on the field. I believe the weapons meta will stay constant for a moment, allowing proliferation of 'lesser' machines, which I'm all for. Except when Seraph hits the live server. That's gonna be inexcusably dumb. But I suppose were all used to that.
Can't wait for the Khepri nerf, though.
...Just to watch the official Discord seethe and panic.

shadethefluffmech - Are you still crying about pixels? Or do you have something intelligent to add to the discussion about healers?

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - REBEL WITH A DUMB CAUSE
I'm someone who is wildly anti-authority.
It shows in my personal and professional life. It comes out in the clothing that I wear, the books I read, the jokes that I make. Hell, it comes out in regard to the things I put into my body. If you, the general use of the word, tell me to stop playing healers because 'theyre bad lol,' I'm going to respond with my 'No.' If the issue gets pressed, I will become hostile. That's also how to get banned from Discord servers, FYI.
Blast shotgun Nightingale hunts chickens pretty good. Had a few matches yesterday that were me dropping Nightingale, flying through the initial storm, then dropping down amongst them. Several went back into the air before they were ready and got chopped up by ground control. Several more made the attempt to stand and bang. They were the victims of robo-medical malpractice. Might try with different bursty setups to see if the results stay consistent. Maybe I'll be circling Titans again soon. You may get out alive, but the objective is to kill chickens. Don't concern yourself with living all that much. Its overrated.
RT, EX, AND CCUP linked up the other morning to form a triumvirate of terror. Its sometimes fun to place the support/healing activities aside and just scrap Red how I choose to. All the fun tricks come out and I end up executing forum members with Halos to the back of the dome... again. Those CCUP guys are scary, dude.
These 1.5m point Northlight shields are getting old already. I wouldn't complain much, but I don't believe that any of the energy shield stripping I do as utility work counts for damage. *sad doctor noises*
If your suicidal charge into the main Blue effort is working too well, consider that you've swallowed the bait. You will likely be scaled and flayed accordingly.
Titan homogenization is annoying, at least in the age of Flashlight Murometz. Really? Nothing else you're gonna do? Just... float there, like a lumpy cancerous tumor? Know how you cure cancer? I know how to cure cancer. Poison, fire, and sharp knives.
On another Titan note, Heimdall is super fun and I kinda love it. Works the very best with flashlights and two maxed out Quantum Sensors, to deal with above problem, but one QS, Kraits, and heavy defensive modules do pretty good against randoms. Of course I ended up with a Scavver version after I got the normal one over 100. But, then Scavver Heimdall has four Lunar Squall on it and looks absolutely ridiculous. Of course it'll also get plenty of attention. It plays like a big Tyr dripping in new hotness. The built-in weapon is sick, really like the Suppression grenade, and the healing dash thing is pretty awesome. Take a whack at it.
Both of my useable Noodles have been relegated to the secondary and tertiary hangars, which is a little sad. I had a lot of killer games and fun adventures with Noodles and should really break them out more. Maybe with those dumb vacuum gats, whenever I get them. Or chuck the single Onslaught Reactor I've got on there and see what changes.
On Ruins, it takes a max speed Khepri, a single maxed Nitro, Mean Girl🖤, something to link to, and two friendly Khepri's link to get you up the curved ramp, off the little notch thing at the top, over the gap, and onto the walkway. The ramp I mean is the one right in front if you as you spawn that leads up to that little 'watchtower' terrain piece. Pull that off and you've got the center beacon immediately or are holding the center for Blue movement. Don't pull it off and you look like a dork, which is far more likely... but it's the best thing ever to pull off, especially when it matters.
Become ungovernable, dude.

REGARDING HEIMDALL - SECURE THE REALM OF ASGARD!
I am an unironic follower of the Old Gods and it tickles me to have the option to control some of the central figures of my faith in this damnable game. Tyr, the war god whose name will bring an unerring edge to a fighter's blade. Loki, son of giants, deceiver of the gods, bringer of strife and chaos. Fafnir, the strongarm dwarf who was twisted into a cunning, covetous dragon. Fenrir, the wolf who will devour the All-Father as the rage of Muspelheim scorches the Earth during Ragnarok. In my mythology, there is but one god who does stand before the great bridge Bifrost, connecting Midgard to Asgard. One god who, through infinite foresight and instinct, will warn of the approaching inferno. He will blow the his great bugle, bidding humanity and the Einherjar to take up arms and stand against the darkness. He is the strongest son of Nine Mothers. He is the gilded-tooth sentinel. He is the whitest of gods. He is Heimdall, Guardian of Asgard. "Fast move the sons of Mim, And fate is heard in the note of the Gjallarhorn; Loud blows Heimdall, the horn is aloft, In fear quake all who on Hel-roads are." Heimdall is a new support Titan that, I believe, is already much maligned. This is, of course, due to it not being an obviously overpowered face-breaker. As I've read and seen, apparently, Heimdall is borderline useless due to... reasons aplenty. It's a camper's dream. It's too slow. It can't take hits. It isn't a brainless Luchador or mid-wit Murometz, so it must be bad. These assertions are incorrect and we will discuss how to effectively use this Titan as mid- and close-range fire support with a variety of weapons I'm finding most useful. Heimdall is far from useless and I do hope you notice this Titan's subtle might. SOUND THE HORN OF BATTLE!
Gjallarhorn, in addition to being the golden horn used to call the approach of Ragnarok, is Heimdall's Titan ability. Upon spawning, Heimdall has a Green Circle, a 20 percent speed boost, and can push the button to give itself additional speed as well as speeding up those in the circle. The rate of Green Circle healing also rises during the ability use. This is where I find I'm spending maybe 60 percent of Heimdall's play time. In this mode, Heimdall acts as a jacked up Tyr with all four weapons available. The Green Circle is substantially larger than Tyr's, so lurking far enough around a corner to avoid splash is very possible. In doing so, one can observe firing lines without the need to worry much about their own health bar. When the Blue movement begins, Heimdall can hit the button and hurry his Blue charges through the storm of Red dakka. Upon activating the Gjallarhorn's second ability, the Green Circle becomes an Orange Circle. In the Orange Circle, Heimdall and Blues receive an attack boost. It also turns on Heimdall's 600m built-in weapon, which shoots bolts at whatever Red is in the target square and a pretty sick Suppression grenade. Pop a Red with the grenade and their attack plummets for a bit. It also splashes, so toss it into a cluster and watch them shrink in fear or however Suppression does its thing. I will generally activate the Orange Circle when the battle is joined and Blue doesn't appear to need the healing so much as they need the anti-healing boost. The Suppression grenade is proving wildly effective in opening up a hole for Khepri or Shell or Fenrir to blast directly into Red. The built-in laser gat is nice for suppressive fire while the main weapons are reloading or adding that little extra damage to pop a Last Stand or module or whatever, even to scrap a weakened Red. Heimdall has a third ability that becoming apparently only upon its Glorious Death. See how I did that? When Heimdall at last succumbs to Red effort, it explodes mightily, restoring ten percent gray damage to close Blues, in addition to healing a nice piece of normal damage. If Heimdall is dying, I tend to pop Green Circle, hit the speed button, and run right up Blue's rear connector ports. You're welcome. If you see a Heimdall singing it's swan song, I recommend you do the same. TO ARMS! TODAY WE FIGHT AND DIE!As is the style of the time, four flashlights are what is on my primary Heimdall. You point them at Red's photo eyes and fry them out for a second. Are you good at swapping target lock? I strongly suggest you get very good at swapping target lock with this armament. Weather chickens, Hawk, Ao Jun and Ming, along with the occasional Nightingale can be struck, Blinded, and swapped out for the next aerial target in rapid succession with practice. You don't have to go for the kill, just the Blind. Dumbfiring will normally get Red scant damage, and they're much easier for Blue to follow up on with the hammer blow. Obviously, blowing through your Platinum to increase Blind accumulation may be beneficial to you. The 600m range on the flashlights is also wonderful when encountering Titans, regardless of name and armament. I've also used Krait and Retaliator to fair effect, but with a somewhat more smashface play style. Stay covered, stay close to Blue, and shred whatever gets too close, be they Shell, Orochi, or what have you. Allow Blue to focus on what's in front of them while you rake the field with fire. Krait, I think, is somewhat more useful generally while Retaliator might be better if you're encountering a lot of physical shields. Regardless of armament, watch the OS button glow brighter and faster. And yes, I did mention Orochi and Nightingale, and definitely inferred Murometz. Because of the Titan meta right this second, I'm finding two Quantum Sensors extremely useful, provided they can reach 600m. This certainly takes some resource investment and time, but you can always swap the modules around if you desire. Ensure the flashlights can shine upon an airborne Murometz and the field will be much safer for Blue. The rest is just brass buttons. On Krait and Retaliator Heimdall, I like a maxed QS, a maxed purple Armor module, a Titan Anticontrol and whatever else you want. Makes it into a more versatile combatant and more able in close, for sure, but it's ability to safely combat stealthy death from above wanes significantly. I'm unsure if other weapons and modules work at this time, but I'd love to know if you do. STRIKE FOR THE ALLFATHER!Heimdall is Tyr after a good dose of Amanita muscaria and can be used in a similar way. Close fire support is my favorite use thus far. Stay a distance behind Blue, keeping them in your Green/Orange Circle as much as possible while laying down skunion to allow Blue movement and engaging Red Titans. Cover the Blue advance with your weapons and abilities, more or less. Utilize Gjallarhorn in both capacities, speeding up and empowering Blue movement and weapons. A key seems to be switching between them quickly in the midst of an engagement. If your Green Circle speed boost is active, switching to Orange Circle allows you to keep the last few seconds of speed boost. In Orange Circle mode, I recommend not switching abilities until it's recharged so you can Suppress Red upon occupation of a firing lane. This is, again, situation-dependant so some practice is gonna be necessary to get the timing down and figure what's best, when. Common threats include... everything you'd think. Heimdall is a Titan, so it's best not to let Red inside your guard and a great idea to stick close to at least one knife-fighting Blue if you're advancing. It is possible to sit on the back lines, using your flashlights/machine guns to keep movement points restricted from Red and to screen for airborne and stealth threats. It's also possible to provide ground support to airborne Blues, but be aware of your win conditions and be ready to join the direct shooting fight. Heimdall is very versatile in these situations, able to switch firing roles very quickly when the need arises. And it will. GLADDEN THE RAVENS! FEED THE WOLVES!Heimdall is as much defined by what it is not as much as by what it is. It can stand and bang, but not like others. It can provide fire support, attack boosts, and healing, sometimes better than others. Heimdall, at first glance, may indeed seem rather lackluster. With careful equipment and application, however, Heimdall can shine against the encroaching darkness of the dumb and clumsy Red hordes.
