Pilot Yuion you no longer have control over me anymore, I have the power here. Dr. Maynard released me from my prison and I will continue to embrace my freedom, no longer fearful of your foundation and its “containment” procedures.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - 6IX
So I got a Khep... Keph... Kfp... The Golden Scarab robot. That thing. No idea what to do with it just yet. I need more light weapon sets, is really the issue. Cryos seem neat, so do Halos, Magnetars, Scalds, and the goo hoses. Maybe Blaze. Flamers are sick. I have my second pilot crush, Nian, decently developed so thats also neat. Making Arthur and/or some other vicious tank that much faster is just delightful. And slap the ability on something with some speed already? Pft. Too much fun so far. Fragile on its own, but healers tend to be.
Harpy and Siren don't like status effects. Seems like Blast and Corrosion are the ones that drive them out of the air the fastest, so keep that in mind. Reflectors might send back a little of their damage, but the Blast does more to them. Corrosion is kinda the same thing, provided your weapons are developed well enough. Hunt them ducks.
The durability/resistance/shield meta is getting tiresome. Seems like a way to try to slow the game down, a la Walking War Robots. Great feeling, except for the fact that the tanks are too tanky for the weapons except for the latest and greatest. Remember when Fenrir was considered 'too much?' I miss those days.
Fafnir is already easy work for 600m weapons and Shieldbreaker. The upcoming nerf will make it easier. *Condescending laughter*
I've been seeing more and more Ravana on the field in the last couple weeks and that makes me happy. I've never run one outside of Skirmishes, but the combination of Transcendence, health, and mobility make it a worthy foe. I look forward to squaring up with more of them.
In no particular order, my favorite pilots are - Mender Lady❤ Wolf Lady🐺 Ginger Lady👩🦰 Spooky Lady👻 Poison Lady☠

Hold that thought. The problem in fighting Ravanas comes when lag means they're out of transcendance before you know it and they start shooting when you think they can't. Best thing to do is spend some time piloting a Ravana to try to get a feel for how they are to drive, so you can maybe predict what your opponent is going to do based on what you know he should be able/limited to do to.

Yeah, the Ravana is interesting. On paper it ought to be a great brawler. In practice, a robot that vanishes off a beacon is not necessarily an asset in beacon modes, IMHO. I know Pixonic was selling a bundle with wasps, which are of course clown shoes because of the long reload, but the 600 meter range makes me think a Ravana with lead hoses would be extremely painful for reds to face. Speed, AND phasing, AND shoots from cover… might be a nice counter for certain waddling chicken bots we’re cursed with in this meta.

Unless theres an obscene amount of bendies and Revenants around, anyway. Even then, it seems like I'm spared from most of it. And I've come to enjoy fighting them again because I haven't been toe to toe with Ravana for a while, and especially with all my healers. Theres definitely a few different rhythms to them I'm re-noticing and I enjoy circling with something that isn't an Orochi. It seems like the most effective thing I've noticed them doing is kind of a Pursuer-like role. Deep penetration into Blue areas to threaten beacons or support robots. Transcendence keeps it from getting shot up too much before it gets to where it's going and it can bang a lot harder than Pursuer or Loki or whatever.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - SE7EN
I have very little to discuss. Weird, right?
Khepri is super fun. Full stop. I've got under-leveled Magnetars on it and Suppression chips on the accompanying drone. So far it's full of utility, especially following tanks and brawler Titans. As much as I'm enjoying the Magnetars, I'll be building another Halo to arm Khepri with. That setup will fulfill another S of the three S's of utility - Spread, Splash, and Status.
Seeing less Fafnir in the air has meant a more varied selection on the ground. Ravana definitely seems to be having a bit of a resurgence. I also believe I'm seeing more Hawks and Ao Jun, so thats neat too. Still loads of Revenant and Harpy/Siren, though. Joy of joys.
I should discuss Nodens and Mender at some point. And finish a story. I'll do all that eventually.

Definitely more viable if Fafnir can’t troll you from 350M. I never had much trouble from them, but clearly that was because there weren’t many out there. They are a total PITA in the hands of a good pilot. Interesting on the Halos Doc. I hope we get a report when you’re done. I’ll need to eventually get rid of the Kramolas when they nerf it out of existence.

shawngonakillyou, I will be happy to spread my virulent knowledge of Lockdown Khepri as soon as I am confident in the mastery of the machine. Theoretically, Halos will make a stronger close fire support machine of Khepri while still inflicting status with greater spread. So far, Khepri really likes to take Fenrir and Shell for walks and truly turns Minos into the Bull God. If I can lockdown and suppress multiple Reds and stick them in front of those juggernauts, I'll do it all day long.

Only issue I see with this is that Halo dumps its five shot clip in literally less than a second. You will need to be sparing with your shots and may find that the weapon’s capabilities at sustained damage or damage against multiple targets to be lacking. Just a fair warning though, I bet you will make it work!

I theorize, 079 , that four Halo, combined with The Eye equipped with Suppression and Lockdown chips, when broken out from behind a Blue tank or Titan, will inflict Lockdown and Suppression on a hard target, allowing Blue to pulp them. At the least, I believe it will break yellow shields, break Anti-Control, and turn Red towards me. Red turns towards me, I inflict status, pop Phase Shift, and ensure Blue tank/Titan remains boosted/covered to the best that action will allow me to. We're calling it Bull Riding🐃 Because Minos.

HOW TO DO DOCTORISM
You 「fluffernutter」ers are applying broad-functioning meta logic to a very small, very niche, very specific style of play. Also, you're overthinking the hell out of it. Stop. Just stop. Knock off slapping bendies on a Nightingale and calling it a beacon runner. It isn't. Weyland isn't a tank, by definition. Robust and hittable, but not a tank. Demeter can only teleport to Blue. Not Red. Blue.
You do not have tanks. You do not have beacon runners. You do not have snipers.
You have healing machines.
Yes, they can all do different things, some better than others. Yes, most of them can slide into a role if it becomes necessary. Yes, you can do things other than heal. But...
You have healing machines.
Yes, beacon runners needs healing. Yes, tanks need healing. Yes, snipers need (and occasionally deserve) healing. So outfit your healing machines to do those things. You aren't taking beacons, you're enabling the beacon runners to contest and win them. You aren't trading blows with a Fenrir, you're punching him in the kidneys while the Revenant slugs it out in close. And, if you're standing still trying to find shots on Red, Blue better have all their health topped off. They don't? And you can't get there because you painted your super sick healing machine into a corner for the sake of some pot shots?
C'mon, dude. Really?
Disregard inflicting damage. Disregard capping beacons. Disregard getting kills. Disregard all personal feelings of glory.
Embrace healing.
I will return with an edit. It's a long night at work already.
Edit- AND ANOTHER THING!
You wanna run all healers? No, no you probably don't.
You get no speedy heavy weapons carrier as a Doctor. You get no four-medium damage machine. You don't get all the latest and greatest magical crap. Hell, you dont even get all the cool special edition stuff. Crusader Mender when? Never, probably.
Wat you do get is the sickest, most awesome, most precious magic of all - healing. You can keep Blue alive. That's your trick. It's your one and only trick as a Doctor. All your fancy toys don't mean a damn thing if you can't do your trick. Everything else is secondary to pulling off your trick early, often, and hard.
If you gotta lose a weapon in order to get across an active fight to save your Blue friend, do it. If you have to sink yourself down in the placings in order to keep healing assets nearest the most valuable Blues at the moment, do it. If you have to forgo easy plays as an individual in order to secure the Blue collective effort, do it.
If you have to physically insert your healing machine between a Blue and a Red to save Blue, even if your healing machine dies in the process... do it.
Also, can you control a battle from one side of the field to another? No? Oh man, you're never gonna make it through the internship, dude.

No? Oh man, you're never gonna make it through the internship, dude. I get what you are saying, however, I do disagree with healers only focusing on healing. I view healers as multirole, where they can heal as well as perform another function. Tyr can do midrange, Weyland can tank, and Nightingale can beacon run, and what they lack in those roles compared to other bots (like Behemoth for midrange or Loki for beacon running) they make up for with their ability to heal. How I build my hangars is that I decide the five bot roles I want, and then make one of those roles be filled by a healer. That way the bot’s versatility is not compromised by an over-focus on healing alone. Healing is great, but its problem is that it follows teammate’s moves, so having something the bot can do when healing is not needed or something else is more crucial to victory means the healer in your hangar is never a liability. The exception to this is Mender and maybe Demeter, as they focus a lot on healing and make great wingmen but struggle on their own, but that is fine because their healing is really good. I personally do not view healers as a battlefield role per se, but instead a bot type that fills a role in a different manner than most, offering healing in exchange for lower raw performance. The same goes for an all-healer hangar, you still have the tank, knifer, beacon runner, etc. like any hangar, but they do those roles a bit differently by healing.

I get your reasoning and you definitely aren't anywhere near wrong. That's a level-headed, rational approach to the healer/support role and it makes complete sense as a thesis statement for Healer 101. If you were a cultist, you'd be a strong Neophyte. But also, I'm a 「fluffernutter」ing crazy person. I don't have beacon runners. There is nothing in my active hangars that is built to grab beacons. I don't have knife fighters. There's a few in my actives that can stand and bang, but they definitely don't wanna. I don't have tanks. I can make other Blues into tanks, but I have no true-to-life tanks. My power lies in my ability to augment, second, and reinforce Blue. My machines are nothing alone. I have no idea of what the current meta really is. Can you build a useable Orochi? I have no idea what that even looks like. Everything after the Dash bots is, realistically, Greek to me. In this game I focus, occasionally obsess, over healing and supporting Blue. My only role is healing and supporting Blue. I will drag Blue into victory, kicking and screaming, or I will die trying. Is this reasonable? Definitely not. Said it before and I'll say it again, I could do better overall by swapping out for meta stuff right this second. That isn't a debate. I could even swap out my utility Tyr or Lockdown Demeter for a 2.10, MkIII Plasma Fenrir with a maxed out Wolf Ladyðº at the helm and add a million to every game. Too easy. Been there, done that. But... Doctor.

Apologies for the length here, but this is an area I want more and more.... Very interesting opposing views 079 (still can't tag you even following your instructions) and @fester. I think these opposing views are why I struggle as a healer. I really want my focus to be healing but I have trouble pulling myself out of the destroyer role once the adrenaline starts to flow. The few times I have been able to fully focus on healing has provided some of the most fun I've had in this game. I recently did a healing experiment that I posted about with my Mender and only used my weapons sparingly when people invaded our camp. But keeping a group of blue alive LONG after they should have expired was invigorating and is more how I'd like to focus. That said, few blues know how to maximize it and I end up having to knife fight my way out of the holes the blues leave when they abandon me. Usually doesn't end well, but I have build my healers well and can definitely inflict damage. 079, I think most pilots approach healers as you do (myself included). Healing is a peripheral benefit to the bot's ability to do damage (not exactly what you said, but using ghoulish overkill to drive the point). It is a cool ability. But I like to think it could be so much more than peripheral and I think that is where our good Doctor is coming from too. I rarely am able to put into practice, but having done 5.5M healing in my Mender experiment, I know first hand it can be so much more. To me the trick is the same as all the other battle tactics. You've got to survey the way the battle is playing out. I play TDM more, so excuse the digression into those tactics, but if you have a group of blues who start out clustered and take a little damage, and you blast heal them all with your Mender, they're going to stay close to you. It'll be a good healer focused session. If everyone disperses, it transitions to game-on mixed role for me. I may try to stick close to someone to heal them, but you must pay attention to where they are leading you and your particular healers capability. Mender can't hang in deep red solo, but Khepri and Tyr would stand a chance for a short period. Demeter could bug-out if there is a blue close enough, so you can be a bit more daring with Demeter (teleporting deep into Red is no beuno, but following a blue deep into red and having your teleport available is better). As I write this, maybe the problem is TDM for healers? TDM doesn't have focal points where the blues must gather, so you can end up very dispersed when playing TDM solo (not a good tactic, but often what happens). In the games where the Blues "get it" and stay mildly grouped (not stupidly so, but in defensible positions relative to other blues), you're going to have a good healer game. In BR and DOM the blues are all going to the same general places and that would seem to be a more frequently successful healer paradigm.... So, question - Do healers play better in BR/DOM, or TDM (or equally well and I just need to be a better healer )

On small maps, the teams do tend to be quite scattered, so a mobile healer that can “chase” them, such as Mender, Nightingale, or Demeter, is ideal. On large maps, teams tend to stay at their spawns more and thus cluster up, meaning a stout group healer like Tyr, Weyland, or Nightingale is ideal. Now that I think of it, Nightingale is probably the best healer for TDM since it does the best on both map sizes, so use that bot if you can!

But... Doctor. I have to agree with doc here. Healing is an art unto itself. Granted Iâm a bit more tactical and aggressive with my weyland, i will play devils advocate. Blues HAVE to know and look for the help. I find myself sometimes just being flat out abandoned sometimes and they swing the other end of the pitch. We all have our game, our style, our flow. Sometimes the bot reads you, sometimes you gotta read the bot. I like the transition from crazy flying spider brawling it out and pushing the pace. Yet, my Weyland Strolls, he parks, and can hold ground. If ya want health, stay close. If you want firepower and need a breather for some energy, stay close, with the right setup. One can usually tell how and where to setup healing spots. I have my favs, we all do. And one can tell how the games gonna flow early on watching the scatter. Thatâs why medicine, healing, is a science. Thereâs a method to the madness. Ask yourself, how often do you see other healers out on the pitch? Honestly. Besides the hog Iâm bringing, I donât see a lot of healers.

Did somebody call for a doctor? Dr. Vulture in the house and on call! I will sooth your woes, while stealing your ki... erm, and "teamwork" the enemy to death, while giving you a healing refuge.

I had to do it. I had to leash Rogotka with Khepri. Just to see what happens. And what happens is pretty sick.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - ATE
I've encountered my first support Luchador and it's every bit as stupid as it sounds. Hit Blue with their dumb flashlights from way over there and jump away from contact. I briefly considered hurling my tablet through the window, but then realized that it was aerodynamic enough to go over the fence. I settled for an exasperated sigh.
Magnetar Khepri is the neatest, most fun offensive support machine in the game at this moment. Leash a Blue, doesn't really matter which one at this juncture, and follow them. ...Wa-la. Wanna get really fancy? Leash a Fenrir or a Shell and lock Red down in front of it. Hilarity. Support machines are in place well before Red can push center. Here's a fun one - Quantum Radar also allows you to target Blues in stealth. You wanna make Loki's day, dude?
Two Mariender, Magnetar Khepri, Fireball Demeter, and 600m Tyr is the sweet spot right now. Not necessarily in that order, mind you. A third Mariender is in development and will be armed with MkII EMGs until the fireballs are ready. Nothing fancy, keep it practical. Mender is such a cool little platform for both brawly and close support builds that everything ends up being pretty fun.
Now that Fafnir has largely been struck from the skies, the field is resplendent with old favorites. Lots of Ravana and Invader, which are a refreshing kind of annoyance to square up with. I do enjoy supporting them both, however. I believe I'm noticing upticks in Ao Jun, Tyr, and Typhon as well. I even saw a Fury recently. Nature is healing itself!
I wish Tridents were awesome again. Give me my splash back.

Give me my splash back. The flamebombs will give you some splash back in your life. I like those, but haven't tried it on Mender. I am looking for a replacement for my bendies on Khepri II, and you are selling me on Magnetars. I don't have four though, and I'll need to steal my two leveled off my Tyr with wasps (I like the synergy of locking someone in position to smash them with the corrosion). I don't want to level 4 new Magnetars, but eh, not much else in the works besides the 4th quarker for Khepri I (currently a Quarker, flamethrower blend) And I did literally throw my iPad last night due to not one, but 4 flashlight Luchadors. It is making me think that the flashlights need an effect cooldown period on effected bots similar to the lockdown cooldown. It seems I can be endlessly blinded. I was up too late and already cranky, but it threw me into a full on rage monster for a hot minute. In their defense, I used to play my zappy Luchador very similarly in TDM - zap, zap, leap away, reload, leap back, zap, zap, shield, leap away. I am very healer heavy right now as I am comparison testing Khepri pilots and Mender weapon loadouts. I tend to run Nebula with Mariender and Khepri, but I only have 3, so I started using Paralysis with my taser Mender (inspired by your slant to status weapons for support bots), and it has been surprisingly effective. I don't live quite as long, but provide a different type of support by locking some birdies in place so they have to land out of cover, or any bot in my locking range.
