Edit - Wolfblood7 Take a peek, dude. Food for thought, at least. I have a lot of leveling to do... Demeter is so fun to play, love it much more than the sound of the new Khepri. What is your opinion on Havocs? There is simply something ironic about dealing all that grey damage while being the only one that can repair it... Also, what are your thoughts on the Khepri? Have you tried it yet? The 4 light weapons are slightly underwhelming IMO but I'm sure you could figure something out and survive for long enough to keep healing the Blues. I mean, you are a doctor after all...

At the same time, I have very little direct experience with them. On paper, it's a great aggressive, fast healer so I'll go with that assumption. Seems like it would really underscore the 'do well or die violently' nature of the offensive Demeter. While I don't play much on the test server, I'm really looking forward to Khepri. Four lights aren't much in comparison to a Revenant or Fafnir, but it'll be enough to keep Red's head down and provide fire support to whichever Blue you wanna make your friend. I'm not sure what range I wanna work it at, but I'm thinking between 350 and 500 meter armament is gonna be the sweet spot for my purposes. Also, it's ugly enough to make it kinda cute.

I actually highly recommend sonics. I have them on my Nightingale at only 1.8 and they punch way harder than they should! Great damage output, damage is unheal-able (except for some robots), and reloading while firing means emptying the clip before activating Nightingale’s ability is not an issue. I also have a Havoc Demeter in my upgrade queue, which I expect similar performance out of. Sonics are great for burst damage support and lowering the heal-able health of a teammate’s target, making them a great fit for support robots.

The only thing I've noticed about sonics that I don't like is the 200m range. That, at this point, is a lot closer than I want one of my precious support machines to dumb and clumsy Red. I suppose that'll be the learning curve when I finally make them usable, but a learning curve is just a skill you don't have yet.
...Because this is a game of skill. ...Usually.

The downside to sonics is the 200m range - that can be really annoying especially when there is a fast moving Fafnir circling you. As for Khepri, it certainly looks unusual! You have to stay within 100m of the teammate you want to heal, so in a way similar to Demeter, just a lot closer. I found the Snaer and Toxin builds to be pretty meh, IMO Kramola is best. We don't know how easy those are gonna be to get yet, so I reckon Scald is everyone's best bet right now.

@dr.H.Jekyll, I was wondering. Have you noticed teammates recognize you better with the medical red and white paint job? I ask because it seems Reds always point me out so I become a target, eventually. But I have noticed not always have folks looking to me to heal. I position strategically and within range for them to heal but stay in cover or in a fight. But yea, been thinking of a paint job switch to more identify my healer. Granted it will also let the opposition know me as well. Just curious…

It may help identify Mender easier due to a similar weapons signature as Phantom, or Tyr with Ares, but theres not a lot of mistaking Demeter or Nightingale. With Weyland, its knowing your audience. In TDM, park it in the back near the more mobile 500m-800m machines and don't be afraid to relocate. If you've gotta push beacons, be right behind the main effort and, once you can get all the Blues in your radius, stand up. The Punchers are adequate, for sure, but I'd also invest in a set of longer and shorter range arms. Variety is the spice of life and also helps during the meta-nerf cycle. But that's all just me.

Oh I hear you. I’ve just been giving these punchers a run, they work amazingly well. Must suck getting ghosted by a healing retro bot like a Weyland in todays matches. But I do have other weapons nicely leveled in my heavy arsenal I swap around, both long, medium, and some short. Uniformity, yes! Kinda why I got into the spiders and all. The paint jobs are cool, I don’t run with the red invader though, makes a bright target in my opinion. But for weyland, I just get the feeling sometimes a lot of bots don’t know I’m a healer, or don’t understand how his healing works only in stationary position. I may buy the paint and give it a go.

Oh, they know. They almost always know. Weyland gets a bad rap because it's most useful when sitting still running flyer/dash interdiction with utility-flavored weapons. Personally, I see the use in a mid-tempo, tactical game of randoms. But, Revenant Death Squads blitzing through opposing lines are all the rage so there's that.

Dang, that's a tidy little phrase. I'm stealing it for my Managing Morale workshop that I do at work.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD IV - I'VE BEEN DRINKING
At one time in my life, I was enlisted in the US Army. Best and worst job I ever had. I was a Cavalry Scout and one of our skills, on paper anyway, was to kill armor. Armor is tanks. We didn't fight armor, we didn't harass armor. We killed armor or ran away. In this story, 'armor' is Luchador and 'I' am probably you.
Killing armor with anything less than more/better armor or a directed artillery barrage is kinda tricky, as is killing or containing Luchador. There's a thing called a 'mobility kill,' and that's where you break track on a piece of armor so it can't move anymore. That means, more or less, you use some kind of weapon to break the length of tread that the armor runs on. This is a viable tactic with Luchador. Make it stand still and/or take away its abilities, then dump your payload and run away. Mobility kill. You trackin'?
In addition, there was straight up ambushing armor with TOW missiles. More is probably better, as this is a task of fire superiority. One of my gun trucks trying to wreck a T90 probably wouldn't go well. Three or four? We were gonna chop 'em up and keep moving. Do that. Shoot, move, and hopefully communicate. If you're with a section of randoms, make the attempt to work in tandem. Let other Blues see you do it and they'll probably get the idea.
Cavalry Scouts also have a rather unique skill at the 10-level, which is calling fire. Right out of Fort Knox, I has the ability to call fire from artillery, mortars, aircraft or, the one I wanted to do most, naval guns. There's less of a direct comparison here, but I'm mostly talking about motherships and Blues that are bigger than you. Drop a Monarch blast and Luchador will feel it. Drop several and, well... that sucks. Also, walk a Blue Luchador over to it. A Bluechador, if you will. Or a couple Minos. Or a Typhon and two Fenrir. You get the concept, I'm sure.
Cinder/Grom Luchador is dumb and if you lean too much on it, you are also dumb.
I've stepped away from my clan for a little while to reorganize my hangar and develop meta weapons. Playing with only healers is something of a handicap and I believe that well developed meta weapon sets will help offset the lack of heavy weapons and non-offensive abilities. Also, drones. I need more drones. Good drones. Cool drones. Doctor drones.
Flamer Tyr is unpleasantly powerful. The movement of Tyr into a close support platform has been fun with Lockdown Tyr, so now I'll swap utility for pure damage. It also seems like it'll be able to keep up with the fast-moving blitzkrieg that is the meta. I very much enjoy it so far. And it looks really neat. The Coronas will, when I build another, end up on Plasma Demeter. That seems like a good fit and all those purple pellets are sick to throw around. I think too, when I can aquire another Mender Lady❤, I'll build another Mender with lockdown shotguns. That was a great machine.
I like playing at the juncture of Champion and Master because you can really, really tell who bought their hangars. I have nothing else to speak about that.
Get paint.
Support rulez.
Meta dr00lz.
PBR me.

ASSAULT MACHINES - A ROBOTS STORY
Mender had charged off on his own, which was very unlike him. He and Shell had been providing a screen for a big, awkward Blue named Natasha. Natasha was not only sporting a fashionable red and black paintjob, but also could carry a large amount of arcing rockets that would force dumb and clumsy Red out of cover or be shredded. Screening for Natasha was a very important job, as Natasha was awkward, slow, and unable to defend herself. But Mender had other priorities.
Mender's audio rececptors had picked up a distantly familiar rustle and glide that send a static shiver through his fiber optics. Mender communicated to Shell that he would have to watch Natasha's back on his own for a while, as Mender was needed elsewhere. Shell wordlessly opened and close his armored cage and took up a sentry's position as Mender dashed away. With his slick paintjob, over-built plasma cannons, and heavier than normal armor, Shell thought briefly that Mender reminded him of an old Blue who's name escaped his cage. Shell was occasionally absent minded, likely due to all the exploding he did.
C://Initiate hazy flashback sequence
Monarch had sent a brand new Blue robot planetside. This new robot was called Mender and was designed to be the best friend an assault brawler could ever have. He could heal armor and superstructure damage, run fast enough to keep up with a Blue charge, and was able to do a little fighting himself with Tulumbas and Pin rockets. Arriving at the Blue operating base, Mender encounted a Blue called Golem. Golem wandered around with Mender, explaining their operations in the area, demonstrating use of the various refit and rearm points around the base, and introducing him to other very pleasant Blues. A nervous, jumpy Blue called Cossack asked Mender which Blue brawler he would be assigned to for familiarization training. Mender answered with the name Boa.
'Boa has spent too much time alone outside the wire,' said Cossask. 'All of the damage to his cortex has made him crazy.'
'Crazy like a fox!' A booming frequency sounded just behind Cossack, causing him to leap invoulntarily into the air, as the source of the freq emitted a deep laugh. The robot was taller than Mender, but only just. He was painted a shade of yellow with orange racing stripes and a mural of an organic creature called a fox emblazoned on his side. A modified rack of souped up, armor-breaking Orkan rockets hung from his side pintle, and he also carried a long-barreled, high velocity shotgun. The compensator indicated that this shotgun was loud enough to shake thunder from the sky. Both weapons, as well as his armor, were over-built and sturdy. A defensive grid was worn over his main photo eye, likely to intercept projectiles before breaking the eye.
Before Mender could introduce himself, the orange robot said, 'You're Mender. I'm Boa. Let's go.'
'Where are you going, Boa?' Cossack seemed concerned, but not overly. Boa likely did this often.
'Walking, like a robot should!' Another booming laugh followed as Boa strode away, Mender scurrying in tow.
As they walked, Mender learned about Boa. Monarch favored Boa heavily because of his tenacity and ability to complete missions, in spite of frequently being outnumbered. She favored him so much that Monarch had Boa's weapons and armor created especially for him, as well as the orange paint he wore with pride. Mender was unsure exactly what a fox had to do with anything, but he didn't ask. Boa loved, above all other things, to fight Red. Boa sometimes loved to fight Red too much, as far as Monarch was concerned. Boa often walked off alone for days at a time to find and brawl with Red. He would come back with broken armor, cracked photo eyes, dislocated articulation joints, and leaking vital fluids. All Boa would do is laugh, rearm himself, and wait to leave the wire again. Monarch decided that Boa needed a friend.
Boa learned about Mender, too. Mender was built to escort a Blue assault machine all the way into the fight and to bring it back alive. Mender told Boa that he was a support robot, to which Boa corrected him, 'You are not a support robot anymore, Mender. You're an assault machine now. I will teach you to be an assault machine, just like me.' And teach him Boa did.
Against a quick and nimble Red called Gepard, Mender learned to flush out Red into Boa's weapons to devestating effect. Boa and Mender had tracked Gepard across a desert canyon for some time, spoiling Gepard's attempts to spy on the Blue operations base. Gepard had abruptly changed his direction of travel, doubled back over his previous path, and seemingly disappeared. Mender was unsure of how to proceed, but Boa read this trap hours ago. 'I will wait behind that pillar, Mender. You will go around that draw and surprise Gepard. Gepard will run out and I will see him. Go.'
'What if I do not see Gepard? He may not be back there.'
'He is. Get around the draw and fire a salvo of your rockets just beyond that corner. Trust me. Stay silent and go.' Boa said no more and proceeded his advance toward the stone pillar, his gear boxes slowing down and becoming whisper quiet. Boa was an veteran assault machine and Mender had no reason to doubt him.
Shortly after he split from Boa, Mender came around the draw and was approaching the corner that Boa said that Gepard would be just beyond. Mender hesitated only briefly before discharging his rockets for the first time, the explosions splintering the rock wall filling the area with vicious stone and steel shrapnel. Mender only heard Gepard break his cover. Just after that, he heard Boa rapidly expend his rockets. A grinding crash followed, and a singular thump of Boa's shotgun just after that. Recalling his tactical medic programing, Mender readied another salvo of rockets, activated his nanobots, and hurried around the corner to follow the ambush.
Mender saw Gepard slumped over, bleeding hydraulic and cortex fluids profusely onto the ground. Gepard's leg had been twisted and mangled, and a large section of his front-into-side armor was caved in and rent with deep holes. Gepard wasn't moving. Turning his attention to Boa, Mender got closer and observed his nanobots envelop his friend. The heavy rack of Orkan rockets stopped sagging and an area of armor that had seen light rocket fire filled itself in. Granted, the repaired armor lacked the fetching yellow and orange paint, but Boa didn't seem to mind.
'I was surprised that Gepard knew to shoot at me. But I can hardly tell that I've been shot! You are an assault machine and a support robot, Mender! Come, we must go back now, even though I could keep fighting even longer!' Boa's booming laugh sounded through the canyon as the two Blue's made their way back home.
Over the next long while, Boa and Mender went beyond the wire together often. Mender scratched his first Red, Schutze, as he and Boa helped save a pinned down Cossack. Mender also received a new visor for his main photo eye after Schutze has shot him with a large bore cannon at point blank range, cracking the eye. As Boa apprached after the skirmish, he took note of Mender's broken eye and laughed. 'You look more like me all the time!' Mender saw that Boa's main photo eye had been somwhow cracked as well, much to the assault machine's amusement.
Mender became a more and more able assault machine under Boa's tutelege. Boa was glad to have Mender, as Mender had saved him many times in the thick of combat. Mender was seen among his Blue friends as a welcome asset and a very helpful robot. His helpfulness has earned him several of Monarch's favors, including upgraded rockets, extra armor, and an increase in his reactor power. Boa had told him that soon he would petition Monarch to give Mender better armament to include armor-breaking rockets and a high-velocity shotgun. Mender beeped and squeaked with glee at this anouncement. Boa greatly admired Mender's boundless energy and had even given him a nickname - Manic Mender.
One night, Mender was jolted active by Boa. Before Mender could ask, Boa said simply, 'We're going walking.' The pair of friends walked for a while in silence before Mender asked where they were headed. Boa responded only with, 'Rome.' Along the journey, Boa's selected route skirted all recent areas of Red activity, which was unlike him. As they drew closer to Rome, Mender saw that Boa moved slower and more mindfully, and his sensor arrays were always at peak function. When Mender inquired about this, Boa only said, 'He's close.'
As the pair enter Rome, Monarch auto-populated additional mission details into Mender's cortex. Blue would be pushing into Rome soon, and it was left up to Boa and Mender to clear the ancient city of dumb and clumsy Reds ahead of that effort. Monarch estimated the threat as Black, which meant very high. This struck Mender as unusual, as only one Red was actively being tracked in the area.
'Boa, what's going on? Monarch says we have threat level Black but is only showing me one Red in Rome right now. Is Monarch wrong?' Monarch was rarely wrong, so this would be a cause of concern.
'Monarch is right. There is only one Red, and his name is Rhino.'
Mender knew of Rhino. Rhino had badly mauled Golem in the same canyon in which Gepard had fallen. Golem was unable to even get off a shot before the Red assault machine was on top of him, hammering Golem with plasma and rockets while driving him off a bridge to shatter his knee joints upon impact. It took much Blue effort to recover Golem and screen the operation, knowing Rhino still lurked around. Cossack had also barely escaped Rhino's brutal charge, being scorched with white hot plasma as a rebuke.
'I have fought Rhino before, Mender. I love to fight Rhino. He is the only Red that can match me one for one. Not even dumb and clumsy Carnage can do that. With you at my side, we will beat Rhino once and for all!' There was a grim joy in Boa's transmission and he laughed a mirthless laugh as the two stalked into Rome, seeking big game.
The cunning Blues circled through Rome, tracking Rhino as Rhino tracked them. Occasionally Mender thought he heard a heavy stride behind him, or on their flanks. Boa soothed Mender's worry, assuring them that they would have the advantage. After a protracted hunt, Boa and Mender came to the entrance of a massive ruin that was once a colosseum. Boa gestured for Mender to stay behind him as the pair entered the arena grounds. As Mender scanned their surroundings with his sensor arrays, Boa proceeded straight ahead and abruptly stopped near the coloseum center. Mender backed off a bit, ducking behind a fallen section of pillar. It wasn't long before Mender picked up the signature of Rhino, and he was very, very close.
'I am here, Red,' Boa projected from all his transmitters as his gear boxes started to whine and his reactor began to swell with atomic power.
The ground trembled as Rhino made his entrance. Mender was astounded at Rhino's sheer size and bulk. Stomping in slowly, Rhino approached within a hundred meters of Boa and readied his rockets and plasma cannons. He addressed the Blue assault machine. 'Boa.'
Boa stood up straight and charged his shotgun. 'Rhino.'
Mender looked on in awe as the whole world stood still...
With a shotgun blast and the flash of plasma, the titans clashed violently. Rhino raised his armored plate, pointing his wicked looking horn at Boa's photo eye as he charged. Boa slammed shotgun rounds into Rhino's armor as the Blue assault machine's rockets sought Red's front sensor array. The distance closed rapidly until hundreds of tons of armor and guns smashed into each other, both fighting for purchase as the ground began to crack under their gargantuan forces. After expending their magazines, the two assaults machines wheeled counter clockwise around each other, both beginning to circle the other and begin the real fight.
For what seemed like ages, Mender watched what he considers to this day the greatest battle between war robots in history. Boa's size and power belied his speed when hin close. He deftly circled around Rhino, peppering him with shotgun fire and rockets. Rhino was every bit as able, using his greater weight to shove Boa around, setting up plasma and rocket shots. When both assault machines were battered and breaking, Mender was suddenly knocked from his trance as Boa projected, 'Mender, now!'
As if by organic instinct, Mender stepped out from behind the pillar section and fired at Rhino's exposed flank as he dashed forward. Rhino turned into the surprise volley of rockets, unwittingly sacrificing one of his light plasma cannons to Mender's salvo. Boa blasted a shotgun round into Rhino's already damaged armored plate at an oblique angle, shearing the top section off. Rhino was then brought to one knee as Mender rammed his scallop-shaped hull into Rhino's side. As the shock rang through his superstructure, he was suddenly thankful for his extra armor.
As Rhino fell, Boa fired one more thunderous shot, breaking off the rest of Rhino's armored plate as well as the actuated arm it was mounted on. On one knee, smashed and bleeding vital fluids, Rhino disarmed his remaining weapons. Boa did the same. Mender could only watch in silence as Boa projected. 'Rhino.'
With a painful sounding grind and squeal, Rhino stood. 'Boa.'
Both assault machines turned away from each other and retreated, Rhino out of the arena and Boa over to his friend. Boa's front armor was demolished and it was unlikely he could process much through his main photo eye. All power had been moved away from his weapons and combat functions to his drive trains and sensors. His shotgun had sustained damage itself, and his Orkan rack was of questionable integrity. Boa still struck a noble and gallant figure as he strode up to Mender, a strange calm in his transmitters. 'Not all Red's are dumb and clumsy. Remember that, Mender...'
CHIRRRRRRRRRRRRK- BOOM!
Without warning, an Aphid missle swarm drove itself into Boa's back with two more right behind it. Chaos reigned in the arena as Boa slumped forward and Mender fired a salvo of rockets directly over him without really knowing why. Turning power to his front photo eye, Mender was able to see one of his rockets strike something. In a microsecond, Mender focused through the smoke and dust, he saw a fragile looking Red with three Aphid missles. He also saw that he'd struck the Red above one of his photo eyes and broken the thin socket it sat in. The Red turned and dashed off, retracting his weapon points with a strange rustle and glide. Mender would never forget that sound.
Spewing his nanobots and running to the opposite end of the colosseum, he stopped short when he saw that he could not detect the mysterious Red assassin with any of his sensors. Spinning quickly, he charged back to Boa as the green nanobots fought to save the heroic Blue. Boa clung to life but was unresponsive. Mender released several clouds of nanobots to help stabilize Boa, as well as sending out combat information and a distress signal to Monarch. The Blue mission was successful, although the situation on the ground was dire...
C://Jarring return to present
Manic Mender expertly danced through an active battle, dodging napalm rockets and autocannon fire as he chased down his nemesis. As more and more Blues had fallen victim to the skulking Red menace, Mender gathered more and more information about it. It was called Loki. It moved without sound and left no trail. Conventional sensors on any level could not normally detect it. When they could, it was too late. Mender had seen images of Loki, always in different paint and more countermeasures, although always having the same broken eye socket.
Mender diverted more power to his audio sensors, now and then picking up a rustle and glide in the distance. He followed the strange sound into a different section of Shenzen than his Blue comrades were. Mender stalked through the city, just as Boa had taught him. Today, he would show Loki what a Blue assault machine was capable of. Boa was sure to laugh.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD - 5 OR WHATEVER
Demeter is inevitable. Demeter is love. Demeter is life. Do not resist.
Tyr, both equipped with accurate weapons, optimized for 500-600m combat, continue to impress as potent interdiction platforms. One armed with Skathi and Snaer and moduled with Shieldbreaker forces Fafnir out of the air, while the other with Hussar and Marquess kills fast-moving and random stealth Reds in the air and also acts as a solid Orochi deterrent. I very much recommend these loadouts.
A third Demeter and Demeter Droid Guy are receiving sporadic attention. The ability to drop in at 500m and perform incredible violence while healing your friends cannot be overstated, particularly in squad play.
I've recently been called up to an S-clan and have grown to enjoy high-level team play at a blistering pace. My main hangar shines in its role, Blue loves it, and I eviscerate Red. Overclocked weapons of all tiers seem to love running on heavily developed healing machines. So that's pretty sick, I guess.
The newest update will overall benefit me and all my Blue friends.
I was gonna a throw down an accroym insulting Red, but it would have looked like a slur. Use your imagination.

REGARDING THE USE OF HEALING MODULES ON HEALING MACHINESBorn from an exchange between munkeeee and Oliver Kloesov and spurned on by a slow night at work, I would like to discuss my rationale for not running healing modules on healing machines. I'm certain that most of your non-healing, ratchet 「bum-bum」, scrub machines have utilized the healing modules to great effect. I am here to dissuade you from doing this with your precious, valuable, uber-sick, better-than-meta support machines. Healing comes organic to healing machines. Built in function, no modification necessary. Our very good friends Demeter and Mender can heal grey damage belonging to themselves and other Blues. Mender Lady❤ heavily benefits from the skills Deft Survivor and True Ace, while Demeter Droid benefits from a purple shield and the ability to teleport away to heal. That combined with Phase Shift will make your gray healer neigh untouchable for a period of time during which you should be retreating or mopping up Red. Healing modules are overkill. Nightingale can fly, heals itself and other Blues while it does, and does so under the cover if stealth. With proper movement and tactics, such as keeping pace with a Blue movement and/or nullifying Red weapons, you will almost certainly land amongst friendlies when you do drop. Master the Nightingale and a healing module becomes unnecessary. My favorites include Shieldbreaker, Phase Shift, and Quantum Radar. Also keep the pilot skill Destroyer in the back of your mind. If a beaten Red gets 'sploded from the air, it's not a threat on the ground. Healing modules are a wasted spot. The case for a healing module can be made for brawling Tyr, particularly with Nebula and judiciously applied defense and shield chips. A quick, massive boost of health can be the difference between holding and losing a beacon, killing a Red Titan, or generally surviving a bad situation. Still, though, I advocate for increased utility. A mid-range Tyr, in my opinion and experience, has no use for a healing module. Physical shields will soak up plenty of damage and you should have positioned yourself adjacent to cover anyway. Because... ranged fire support. Read the manual. Weyland is the real table topic. There are new methods of deploying our loveable support spider unfolding as we speak, so the best outfitting must be ground out. Now, while I haven't yet tuned Weyland for speed and equipped a Jump module, I will argue that Jump is more useful for Weyland in this meta than a healing module would be. Weyland can already heal itself, heal Blue, and carry the dreaded Puncher. Combined with a faster recharging Jump module and careful observation of the field, Weyland can jump in/out, survive the encounter and convalesce back to the point of combat effectiveness along with the rest of the participating Blue forces. Since gray damage is not healed with a healing module, and Weyland is a stout machine anyway, I believe a healing module would again be unnecessary. *Someone once said in regards to support machines, "You don't need healing, dude. You are healing." I will defend this statement in favor of keeping support machine more useful and survivable in a diverse way as opposed to having too much of a good thing with supplemental, often unnecessary, healing capabilities.

@fester my know everything about War Robots card expired 3 years ago so... Take this with a grain of anecdotal learnin'
Mender: If I'm brawling alone or using a meatshield
1. Start taking too much damage ==> Hit ability 3. Ability runs out 4. Start taking too much damage ==> Hit AH 5. GOTO 1.
When you get lucky breaks the actions above overlap and you become one tough Cookie Mender.

I certainly don't disagree and if it ends with a win, then it's all the same anyway. Mender can come through in the clutch, especially when it can keep a big, murderous friend alive. If you can establish a good rhythm with up to three serious heals at a shot, keep doing it and keep healing. Neverheless, I encourage module experimentation, specifically with Mender and Demeter. They're both incredibly dangerous inside and outside the box. By the by, I understand you're building a support hangar. I applaud this course of action and would happily discuss any experience or theory I have regarding its development and use. As always, Oliver Kloesov, you rule.

I have 5 hangers and am always trying to figure the best way to set them up (recent post on map based setups was my latest quandry: war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/post/673090/thread). I currently try to put a healer in each hanger which I base on bot capability and weapons load out. Your take on full medic hanger is interesting and something I may toy with. Healing/support is one of my favorite roles so this may become a bit of an addiction. The one downside I have with healers is I play solo most of the time and not all blues know how to maximize the relationship to the healer. Can't count the times a Muro or Faf has taken off after I activate my mender heal. Doubly frustrating if I didn't really need the heal but they did. I get overtaken by adrenaline/opportunity all the time, so not blaming, just acknowledging reality.

Demeter can be wherever you need to be, within reason. Tyr can get punched in the face over and over. Nightingale flies. Weyland jumps now. Non-healing scrub Blues don't know how good they have it when you're around. Healing is inevitable. Force it on them.

As I am thrice a reasonable person, a crazy person, and a Doctor, I made an agreement with myself to keep my occasional obscene vitriol and boundless hatred confined to this little corner of the forum from which I have vanquished dumb and clumsy Red and claimed as my own. You may disagree. You may feel insulted. You may have choice words for me. That's just fine. Blow up my PMs. Get my Discord and we can scream at each other like idiots. Don't care. Gotta rant.

A NOTE FROM THE DESK OF MR. E. HYDE
"Oh no, Fafnir is getting nerfed. Whatever will I do? The sky is falling, dude. I literally can't even right now!" - some meta scrub probably
Your Fafnir and your dependence on it makes me smile. Your Fafnir and the false confidence that comes with it makes me chuckle. Your Fafnir falling under the guns of my Tyr makes me laugh an evil laugh. And this is even before it gets wings broken further by the inevitable nerf hammer. Bury me deep after I die laughing or I'll come back same as I left, pointing and cackling like a mad man.
"Oh no," says the reprehensible scrub, "My pair of MkIII airborne assault machines with four MkIII meta weapons, gold drones with gold chips, and maxed legendary pilots are useless now!"
Two words, dude.
Get good.
Get good, scrub. If you can't use a Fafnir to extreme effect on the field, regardless of meta status, you are lame. You put all your eggs in one basket and proceeded to trip on your own success, go face down in that basket, and come up with egg on your face. Good job there, turbo. You're willing to forsake a killer robot with multiple great advantages purely because it's getting trimmed back a little? You're lame. You wanna whinge and cringe and wring your hands over it? You suck. Get good.
"Oh no," says the scrub whom doesn't pay attention to things, "This is so unfair! I paid money to smash other players and now I'm gonna freak out because I paid to win and I'm not gonna win anymore!"
Welcome to War Robots. Give me your wallet. No mask, scrub. I'm just gonna take it.
Are you new? We're you born last night? Are you intoxicated? You must be, because no one is that dumb. You paid to win in a mobile game? A mobile game? Paid? To win? Put it down. Put it down and walk away. You ain't about this life. And before any of you self-righteous weenies come at me about spending money myself, I assure you, its different. You pay 2 win. Or is it whine? Tough to tell anymore. I pay 2 fun. I pay 2 Doctor. I Pay 2 Rule.
I may not always win, scrub, but I always, always Rule. Be like me, not like you.
"Oh no," says the scrub with the nine-volt brain, "But now the hammer got smaller and the nails got bigger! I have to know what I'm doing now."
This is the one the irks me the most. I use healers. Not main them. Not like them. Not have one in all my hangars. I use only healers. And yet somehow, since putting four full hangars and three Titans through robo-medical school, I've managed to jump from a strong solo, to a leading scorer in a top-ranked AAA clan (shoutout ROD,) to having stripes in an old, reputable S-clan (shoutout Raptor Tactics.) And you can't figure out how to at least put up Master numbers with a developed Fafir with which you have experience? Or is it too hard? Go back to Farmville, scrub.
In realization that I haven't been terribly vulgar yet, I'm gonna waste all that goodwill right now ans paraphrase a meme format that makes me smile -
Are you gonna cry? Are you gonna piss your pants? Are you gonna 「dookie」 and 「man juice」?
Adapt or die, scrub.
I care not which you choose.

Find your “happy” in this game, and go. Winning matches, top player, most kills, beacons,,,,, fine and dandy. But is it really happiness? Can you say you’re happy? Find YOUR happy game. Simple as that. I run all spiders, we know this. Doc here runs healers, 4 hangars of them. 079 likes the longe range killers. Find your own groove within the game, and you’ll always be happy. This isn’t a place for ego or “I’m better than you” antics. This is a place of and FOR information, about a game. A GAME. Mix and match u til you find what works for you and you have fun. I always use this analogy when folks around me start talking about world affairs. Being prior active duty military, and having travelled the world, it’s almost hypocritical and a bit naive to think one persons way of life and thoughts are superior to others, I always ask one question when I hear people talk about other lands in the world, “where have travelled OUTSIDE your own country?” Majority of folks in america have never been elsewhere. Do they know of the third world countries in poverty, or poor countries with shanty towns, etc. While overseas I’d see folks get right off the boat and run to find a burger or pizza or some chicken. Why on earth would you look for that to eat when you are in a country like Thailand and can get authentic Thai food dirt cheap? It blew my mind having access to the world and different people and cultures, foods, living, and you look for the same thing you can find at home on any given day. Experience new things, branch out, expand your mind, think for your self. /soap box rant

Nice rant, Doctor! Or should I say, statement of the truth? Playing (or paying) to win is a valid way to enjoy War Robots, but it is disappointing that people here still remorse over the nerf hammer. I get being sad that the meta bot one was enjoying being nerfed, but complaining it is utterly useless because it is no longer meta or that the nerf is uncalled for is a bit naive. I would think that people on this forum would know the reality of Pixonic’s tactics and know what’s coming, yet they feel, like the Doc said, entitled to win forever. It honestly boarders a god complex in my opinion! But the majority here are in the same page and I’m grateful for that, and maybe the others can come their senses in due time!

Yep, find what about the game appeals to you and double down on it! Chasing what Pixonic puts in front of you is the oldest mistake in the book! We are content because we know what we want and how to achieve it. Those who want to be the best all of the time will be trapped in Pixonic’s endless maze of smoke and mirrors. Inflating you ego will just make the explosion from when Pixonic pops it be even bigger, so don’t fall for the trap!
