This is not my experience. I started in silver I, lowered my score down to mid-newbie (~450 points) and have almost worked my way back to silver I again. If there has been a change to block relegation, it has been very recent. [DoW] R2D2^2 here Hi King! No wonder you drop my squad invites! LOL Lol. Hey R2... yeah, no offense, but I was experimenting to better understand how the system works and didn't want to drag the clan in. I'm running my main hangar again now that I'm back in silver and will be quite happy to accept invites to slaughter the enemy.

I'm going to go against the prevailing opinion and possibly open myself up to ire by saying I wish they would apply this to map skippers, too. It would force everyone to develop balanced hangars instead of letting those with heavy mid-long range hangers dominate the large maps or those with dedicated knife-fighting hangars dominate the close maps.

Oh, here's a thought. How about forcing the players in the ditchers league to play Yama...over and over and over again. Yama groundhog day

Building blocks... baby steps... incremental changes. They built a Hell, a special queue for special players. They created a gateway to that Hell that captures those who repeatedly quit matches. These are great first steps. Rather than lamenting the lack of scope on a brand new penalty system, I'd simply suggest adding another gateway, for those pilots that drop league points too rapidly. No! I'm getting dropped by the MM tossing me in over my head now. Started at 64% win rate this morning and now I'm at 46%.

Just had a couple of terribly hard-fought games where tankers still exist. See attached (Yama - Gold III):
I know this is going to open a can of worms but I'm going to do it anyway. My question: How foolproof is the system implemented? I definitely understand Pix keeping mum about the algorithm (open to abuse) but perhaps some brilliant minds enlighten me how the system works: - Identify tankers from accidental leavers? - Identify occasional (drop stats) vs. hard serial (drop league tier) tankers? - It clearly isn't damage based from what my attachment so what's the variable based on?

So, am I to understand that, If you get Springfield map say, 5 times in a row Like I have seen lately, and leave immediately at seeing the map, with plenty of time for the MM to fill in with players that you will still be punished because you do not want to play a long range map? leaving a match that has started I could completely understand, but forcing you to play every map is just ridiculous. If Pix is really trying to get people to stop playing the game all together, this is one way to accomplish it.

Thanks, I know what's going on. I just fail to see why Pix failed to address this issue when they rolled out the leaver/ditching "improvement".

2 ideas for possible solutions to tankers...
First: Once you start a match, you must wait until that match is over before beginning another match, whether you've participated or not. (Skipping a map before the first 30 seconds wouldn't count.)
Second: Make it so you cannot drop more than one tier below your highest tier. So if you made it to Gold I, you can drop as low as Gold II, but will never see Gold III again.
This will eliminate most ditchers and seal clubbers, and have everybody where they are supposed to be all the time, regardless of hanger setups.

No way. I choose to specialize in overwatch because I like supporting my team. I practice with my midsize bots plenty but I'm not as proficient at it as many at close range fighting. Rheumatoid arthritis. I skip matches in the cluttered maps pretty regular simply because I don't like those maps. No room to manuever. You do know the #1 rule of armor is never fight in confined spaces don't you? Pixonic chose to ignore that rule but I didn't. Don't penalize me now for using a feature that's been ingame since I started playing. If Pixonic didn't want us to be able to skip matches they wouldn't have put that button in the game at all. I've suggested to Pixonic that they create more maps of all sizes and let the players decide what maps they play in.

I'm itching to try that with my pet account, just to see how bad Pixo fumbled this one. Calling of the dark side...
Do you still get placement cups in that special tanker league? That is, can you finish last and continue to tank by getting -20 points? Please, tell me Pixo has at least considered that single point?
Are there any reduced rewards in the tanker league? Should be a no brainer, right?

Should be a no brainer, right? Wouldn't it be nice if the rewards were just 1/10 of silver and 1 Au for the top player in any Penalty League match? And you have to earn at least 50 Au to get out. I imagine there'd be quite a few total quitters then or people resetting their apps.

And I wonder if they considered the poor gamers like myself who have only 2 or 3 slots who get slaughtered by seal clubbers and leave the game when we run out of robots and we do not want to sit around and watch others getting whooped?
I guess the devs are too busy making changes to notice.
Uninstall coming up thanks to penalizing the guys who can't afford to shell out cash for Au.

Just finished a match with 4 statues in game. 3 blue, 1 red. I pushed a Patton out in front of me into the center of the Canyon using it as a shield. Worked pretty well. Still lost though.

If you leave after you are meched out there's no penalty - if I remember right they said that in their last Q&A. Edit: okay, maybe not there - pretty sure I've seen it said...

I think the best part of this segregation system is that abusers will never be sure if they are in or out and what the criteria is...The players who don't tank, ditch or leave will simply be playing majority stable games...And have nothing to worry about.
I doubt Tankers/ditchers and flakes will figure it out as Pix can easily move the goal posts anytime they want....Tankers can collect game rewards off of each other and know they might be in the special league...Lol ...We will be playing in different sand boxes.

I would like to see a "Report tanker" button. If a player gets too many hits within a given time period they get dumped into detention.

I added to it the idea of people who do nothing in a battle. Also, what thr heck is RL?
