My bet is people that dont tank, ditch, etc., will get dinged. Dont care what PIX says, dont feel that they have earned the right to be trusted to fix things

It is said they have a person that does. Question is do they really care. Notice this game is progressing farther into P2P territory?

The same goes for seal clubbing. It just like it. You get large amounts of loot, and its very easy. You get paired with new players.

This is a good step. They can't solve all the ways of dropping league points but this should solve the second most annoying, which is dropping out and leaving you a bot down. Most annoying is someone blocking you to make the team lose. Yeah, I do this all the time on my daughters account when see a tanker. I run up in front of them and block, hilarious. I used a destrier to push a fujin off the map. There was a battle where a tanker caused us to lose when it was 3v3 and him fighting we could have won. noooooooooooooooooo!!!

Blocking a tanker? Okay..... That is interesting. How do you block someone who is not moving? Am I missing something? Tankers will eventually try to win some games for gold. If they are moving, then block them, it usually means they are on a try to win cycle.
Essentially, I will make life hard for him. Like blocking his line of fire and stealing a beacon he is about to cap anyway.
And how do you know they are a tanker who is now trying to win again? Ruining your chance of winning along with theirs doesn't make much sense either.

Screwing your own team isn't going to help. You might as well have the tanker support your team. Morally, it's wrong, but logically, it's the right choice.

www.facebook.com/warrobots/videos/836833286457975/Main PostPlayers leaving you powerless in the heat of the battle? No more! ? Those systematically taking off and letting their teammates down will now be placed into a separate matchmaking queue! Connection problems and such, as well as occasional (!) drop-outs will not get you in trouble. DetailsSome people are abusing the matchmaking system by intentionally dropping matches to reach lower leagues and get less experienced opponents. - We are introducing the system which will restrict such behaviour without hurting usual players. - We’re totally okay if you disconnect occasionally (!) due to your network provider issues, urgent matters in real life or simply don’t like the map you got spawned on. If you don’t drop matches systematically, you have nothing to worry about. - However, if you are leaving too many battles, there is a chance you'll be moved into a separate matchmaking queue where you’ll play only with similarly behaving people. - No direct penalties, but chronic "leavers" will be playing with other "leavers" until they clear their “karma”, so they won’t be bothering players that like to fully commit to the game. emphasis added by me This is a good move. I'm sure this applies only to pilots that actually start a match and stay in past the match start timer ending (i.e. they are actually in a live match whether or not they drop in with a bot) and not to map skippers (pilots that leave matches before the 15 second match start timer ends).

Do you determine who the tankers are by memory/list? Otherwise I don't quite get how you know which person trying to win in the current match is a tanker or not because.... aren't most players trying to win? And by trying to lose the match, are you not become as bad as that which you seek to destroy? I'm pretty sure the guy is tanker

Nope, it was just a great match with no-one bailing out and everyone fighting hard until the end. I only posted it because it was so unusual, for me anyway, to see 12 people all fighting hard until the end. I hope that means the recent change will reduce ditching/tanking. Ah. I've been thinking, does this mean that Pixo still want to allow people to drop cups, but do it in another queue so normal players are not effected? This realistically only works if, on the way up, they continue to be in that queue... Maybe that's the karma system they're talking about. You stay in the alternate queue for however games you ditched until you have worked your way out into positive karma. Wouldn't the rate at which they'd lose cups/points be massively reduced...? They'd no longer be in a regular match where they can pick up -20 easily, they'd be in a "Leave Protection Match" against others who *also* want to drop cups/points. They can't all drop points in each match, so the individual rate would be reduced significantly.

Still gonna leave if I'm on the wrong side of a 4 vs 6 or 5 vs 6 battle. Sue me! Also, the punishment is not harsh at all I play to win and for fun neither of which are really taken away.

Fixing the system:
1) Tanker/leaver queue receives zero Au 2) Au payout for tiers moves to the end of the month to encourage climbing and is based on highest achieved tier 3) Au payout for matches scales with tiers after players reach level 30 4) Players enter league system after reaching 30 to protect new players and payout higher starter Au

If you drop in a game with newbies in Fujin with a paint job like that, it pretty much screams "tanker!"

If you fall into the alternative/leaver queue is there any indication that such has happened? Like an icon somewhere or a message that you've entered or left the queue.
On my main phone I have a good connection, immediately skip Yamatau, and never ditch. My old phone however has a poor connection, usually a handful of 5 second timeouts, sometimes the 'to hangar' message, and I'm concerned this account may get moved to the alternate queue. But how will I know?
Also I have to play the old phone flat on the table using my index fingers (otherwise timeouts are worse) and this awkward setup has caused me to hit the phones power off button a few times. Returning to the game I'm not allowed back into the battle. Will this be counted as ditching?

I don't think they'd let you know when you're moved. Else players would simply adjust and ditch "just" enough to drop their league, bit not be thrown in the alt league.

Nice that they took a step in the right direction but now for the side effects. I'm seeing a lot more statues today. Every two of three matches there is someone just standing there. If you are lucky they racked up 5k damage and a beacon first, but seeing a lot of 0 kills, 0 damage, 0 beacons today.

Honestly it's like pixonic just doesent get it at all. There are alot of ways around this. I'm sure if I get this others will too. A lot of people tank for gold, I think we can all agree with that. But A lot of people do it with small hangers to get the gameplay the old mm offered. So no matter what unless tiers for bot lvl and weapon lvls come into game instead of damage, tanking will be present. Not to mention A lot of those gold farmers also like lower lvls. The karma system is for idiots, that works for me since I have less to worry about for teammates. But that's the only reason it's good. Pixonic needs to remember the players that loved the old mm system, instead of this mm that's already wreaked other games by their lack of appeal. This move won't fix tanking at all.

I have to be honest. It's pretty tempting for me to go on my TT account, and get in the karma system on purpose. Just to give those buggers a 「dookie」kicking.

The only thing it will do is make it take them longer to tank. As far as I can tell, each league is approx 200 points wide. 10 games of coming last to go to the bottom. Then to go back to the top just over 15 games. The league point system helps tankers, quicker to go down than come back up.
