So my ongoing analysis of matchmaking, tankers, etc, etc, hit an interesting match last night: I was on my first Bot, Gary of course to cap some beacons and I realized that 3 Reds hadn't moved since the match started. As you can see they are just sitting there. I barely had time to do anything but cap 2 beacons and take a screenshot before the match was over. As you can see, 7 out of the 12 players were tankers. I was astonished. I thought at first that I was in the tanker's league or something. Fortunately this was just an anomaly in terms of what I had seen before and what I saw after. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Can't wait until these folks are relegated to the Idiot's League.

Sorry, TLDR the whole thread. What about zenit furies lobbing nonsense the whole match towards an area of the map with no bots?

Got a few questions for all those complaining about player and equipment mismatches.
Suppose a new player with money to blow really enjoys this game and as they level up in the game they buy and upgrade their equipment as fast as possible. So now they are tearing around the field in their shiny new 12/12 bots ripping through the competition at their player and league level having a great time. Here are my questions...
Do you consider what they have done to be somehow unfair to everyone else at their player level?
Is it unfair to players in their league level supposing that their noobile skills hasn't taken them to the lofty Expert class to match their equipment levels?
Do you want to penalize these people who have deep pockets who want to play this game?
What do you think happens to Deep Pockets and their opponents as they progress through their player and league levels?
What if their skill never reaches the lofty tiers and they stay in the lower league levels with their awesome bots?
Because these are distinct possibilities. Possibly more than you might think. Any of you with plenty of dough can do exactly the same as I described. It's just that most players cannot.
So right from the start of this game you have always had two paths to choose from.
The straight and smooth yellow gold brick road with all the amenities.
Or the goat trail through the mountains where you hunt down your own food.

^ Kindly link up with Pix to provide the stats/probability for said situation in contrast to tankers.
On that note, I wouldn't mind taking a dip in the experience actually, since it's being offset by a happy individual willing to fund Pix.

notyetnotsosoonI'm acknowledging that most players do not have deep pockets, so I don't need or require Pixonic's player purchase statistics. I just curious about what others think about my questions. Because I know a few people who can and do do what I described.

I just curious about what others think about my questions. Because I know a few people who can and do do what I described. The complaint is about the people who deliberately lose or leave. So, if any user fulfills that parametre, they can be penalized. As for the situation you described, their equip level will carry them up the leagues to where they'll balance out, or if they tank, they get penalized. If they are still at BronzeIII 1ith 12/12 equipment...they aren't a threat to anyone. Even lvl3 Punisher Cossacks.

I had a strange experience today. When I was squadding with my clan (3-6 members participated at various times), we encountered in a relatively short time seven full clan squads, who all quit on us. Those squads were from six different clans, as we had one group twice. They never deployed their bots, but just waited it out until the round ended after ten seconds or so.
I never took a look at any of those clan members' stats, because we just wanted to get playing and moved on. Therefore I can't say for sure that they were tanking. It could also be that they were looking for a suitable map, or were trying to match themselves with another clan for a pre-arranged fight. However, somehow I find that hard to believe, especially since those were all different clans. It looked more like clan-based tanking. That being said, I hope it was just a glitch in the system, and not the indication of how wide-spread tanking might be in the clan circles.
As a side note, in those seven rounds I somehow ended up in the first place three times, and in the second place four times. I also got beacon capping points whenever I was first, which means I netted 42 au from the experience. So I ended up involuntarily benefiting from probable tanking, which is not a particularily happy feeling. And to top it off, my win percentage climbed, and I was also promoted to a higher league, which has resulted to me getting a continuous beating out there. What do you call it, when you end up reverse-tanked against your will? Several analogies come to mind, but since there are minors reading this forum, I'll leave that subject to rest.

To be honest, i dislike leavers but...
If u have 15 - in words "fifteen" - idiotteams in 20 rounds i leave everytime i see there are overwhelming nitorious ego trippers in the round. Lost 15 from 20 rounds. Always place 2-3. One time last. Capped 8 signalfires. All others 0. And given no cover. If devs don't do something with the matchmaking, leavers will always be a problem. Or they will even quit the game. Same problem like in all other reambased mmos. Just my 2 cents. Next fact: As Long the game has such a bad matchmaking i wont spend a single cent.

What you just witnessed is called "Ethical Tanking". An entire team will throw matches to lower their league so they can run over new players and bag their rewards...slightly less annoying then 1 or 2 trying to screw the rest of their team.

I refuse to acknowledge that phrase. There's nothing ethical about it. It's a crutch for tanker clans to feel better about themselves while they drop leagues so they can beat up on lesser competition. The profanity filter would render my description of this behavior nonsensical.

I get Rockwelder's irony, but still hope there is at least some ethical thinking behind group tanking. However, I'm afraid it might also be popular, because it is more efficient. If you tank by yourself, there is always an off chance, that the squad wins anyways. With group tanking it is absolutely not possible. Also the games are over quicker, which means you get the results of your actions faster. And it is of course easier to do morally questionable things in a group.
I left a top 10 clan a few weeks ago, when tanking started to get rampant there. First it seemed to be just one guy. Then he talked couple of others to try it, and then it just took off from there. I left when it was obvious, that there was no stopping it - and sadly I didn't even hear anyone try. I was not an officer, and I was also a relative newcomer, so I was in no position to do anything but leave.
It needs to be said, that they were - and presumably still are - a very nice and friendly bunch. And for many of them it was just not greed, but also utter frustration with the erratic new mm, that pushed them over to the dark side. However, I fail to see how that entitles spoiling other folks' gaming experience. And especially spoil it for those, who are less experienced and more vulnerable to such exploitation. It is not the way I roll, anyway.
-Hiisi Ps. Almost forgot, some folks there advocated tanking also to push up the clan ranking. It got me to leave even faster.

I have nothing against people spending money on the game. I play in diamond 2-3, and I'm seeing such players all the time. They are usually relatively easy to spot afterwards just by looking at the number of their wins and comparing that to their hangars. Sometimes they are in expert or diamond leagues, sometimes in gold. Sometimes they are good and clearly on their way up fast, other times not so. That can be seen from their win rate, and from their performance on the field. All in all if they play fair and don't try to screw the system, they end up where they belong in rankings, as do we all. So if somebody is so talent-free that can't rise above (iOS) gold even with a maxed hangar, but still wants to buy all bells and whistles and keep on playing, nothing wrong with that. N.B. That also means more or less 50 percent true win rate, mind. Which means they don't tear through people anymore, but will be mostly playing evenly matched games. If that is not happening, then they must be losing matches on purpose, and are effectively tankers, which is a different matter altogether.

So that's ditching sorted out. What about tanking? Ditching a battle is the same as staying in spawn the whole game doing nothing.

Ditching a battle is the same as staying in spawn the whole game doing nothing. Never mind that. Idling is sitting at spawn and doing nothing. Ditching is leaving the battle within 1 minute. Tanking is lowering your League score intentionally.

Hi, New here. I just recently found out that in the War Robots game app via youtube, youtube is allowing the viewing of videos that teaches gamers how to rig the game via illicit mods and to cheat, or to acquire millions of gold as a means of stealing from the game devs. Not joking. Look up War Robots on youtube.com and the videos are there. Please do something to stop the cheating. One video showed how to use a calendar app to change the values of weapons damage for example. Please put a stop to it and shut down those videos on youtube. No one likes cheaters and I can only hope that the mmo has a boot system in place that will detect the use of the illicit game mods that encourages the unethical behavior.

tigerwolfhawk Go to the app in your playstore or wherever. There's an e-mail Pixo link at the very bottom. Or submit an in-game bug report doodad. Haven't done it myself, but I'm sure there's a text block to explain your concerns.

@tiger. To add if you see these types of hacks actively being used, note the player name and ID (you can get the ID at the end of the match). Send a report from the in game reporting option you can let Pix know.
Players using the speed hack in the past have had their accounts perma banned. Pix has shown zero tolerance for hacking in the past.

It is not the way I roll, anyway. -Hiisi Ps. Almost forgot, some folks there advocated tanking also to push up the clan ranking. It got me to leave even This is is correct. Currently there are around 10 Chinese clans of similar name in the 100 most active ranking that are tanker clans. Another with a rank of 999+ is "TankerClan," which I just created. The modus is to squad up only to relegate back to silver 3, which can be done as a clan with 100% loss rate by not dropping into the battle; requiring only about 10 secs/game. If you look at profiles, you'll see win rate can be 0%. Add in the matchmaking time and in <60 min each squad member can drop 3-4 tiers. At silver 3, unclan and independently farm au and ag as a top fighter in your respective battles with rando cream puffs until scoring out of gold league. Farming phase can be done with >80% battle win efficiency with losses only occasionally coming at the hands of other tankers also in farming mode.Rinse and repeat this process and within a few days a full clan can achieve an activity cup count of 50-60k; each participant will farm 1-2k au, 3-5 mill ag. 5-7k au/wk and 50mill/wk is readily achievable by active player. Anyone active can join these clans as stink bots stay in the hanger just as well as any. Farming mode is of course more lucrative for those that can differ that's themselves from silver tiers by skill and/or bot superiority. 8-12 bot/wpn lvl griffs, galahads, and ancilots are currently the best choices. This is simply the fastest way under the current game rubric to build a max hangar with no pay. it won't last forever, so game the game while you can. Build up your hangar and then leave the tanker clan ready to play on equal footing with anyone. Really, all you dudes should quit trying to morality shame, close this gripe thread, and come have some fun messing with the game instead of letting it mess with you.

UPDATE: The leaver's queue has not yet gone live. For now, the developers are just giving "tanker marks" to abusers and monitoring the system to make sure it flags the right people before pressing the big red button to turn the queue on. www.facebook.com/warrobots/videos/836833286457975/Main PostPlayers leaving you powerless in the heat of the battle? No more! ? Those systematically taking off and letting their teammates down will now be placed into a separate matchmaking queue! Connection problems and such, as well as occasional (!) drop-outs will not get you in trouble. DetailsSome people are abusing the matchmaking system by intentionally dropping matches to reach lower leagues and get less experienced opponents. - We are introducing the system which will restrict such behaviour without hurting usual players. - We’re totally okay if you disconnect occasionally (!) due to your network provider issues, urgent matters in real life or simply don’t like the map you got spawned on. If you don’t drop matches systematically, you have nothing to worry about. - However, if you are leaving too many battles, there is a chance you'll be moved into a separate matchmaking queue where you’ll play only with similarly behaving people. - No direct penalties, but chronic "leavers" will be playing with other "leavers" until they clear their “karma”, so they won’t be bothering players that like to fully commit to the game. emphasis added by me

Had anyone tried to drop lower than the league they were placed into? You can't. I started in Silver III and within two days fought my way up to Gold III where I was getting slaughtered by people with much better equipment and was pushed back into Silver I. Then I bought brand new weapons and bots that I wanted to try. Since I do not have access to the test server I was testing them on live. Stock bots, stock weapons going against players with more hp and firepower. I was a liability to everyone on my team and lost a bunch more. Before I knew it I was back in Silver III. While waiting on upgrades I was curious to see how low I could go. 1100 was it. Could not go any lower. The ones running level 12 weapons and/or bots in lower levels probably qualified with ECU Cossacks the day the leagues came out.

They should also make it so that the tanking seal clubbers do not win gold or silver for X number of games or until they get back to an established league standing.
