Do not cross in front of your teammates. I cant tell you how many times I start dumping double orkans at a red to have a blue step in front. Typicly the blue dies and Im left facing a red with all weaps empty. sounds like a fair battle!

You kill the Reds to create an advantage - but you can also do this by keeping few Reds busy. If 2 or 3 enemies are chasing your Stalker don't go "Leeroy Jenkins!" and die but hide and time your stealth - if they are with you the can't fight your teammates, and if it's near some far beacon they will have a long walk. Distracting enemies helps your teammates.

Im at level 29. When im marching to the battle in my leo or trying to defend a beacon with my fugin... My skeptic meter started spiking when you said you were driving Leos and stayed high when you said your hangar also included a Fujin. Also, the fact that you've been playing at most a few weeks (compared to Pete's time of well over a year) suggests that "what {you've} found to be true" probably doesn't have enough weight behind it to be vaulted about as a "Pro Tips & Tactics" expert opinion in this specific instance Lets get this straight, ive been playing two years now

Do not cross in front of your teammates. I like this one best. It was the first annoyance that I learned about the game besides people leaving beacons white. It goes right along with being aware of whats going on around you. I've had so many people cut in front of me when clearly my weapons were leaving a trail for them to see.

That is exactly what I mean. i get the frustration, but every time I have done this, I had no idea someone was behind me. It usually happens when I am already engaged in a battle with a particular Red. There is no way I can look behind me while trying to dodge Orkans or Tarans, while still shooting at them. It would be different if we were both headed to the same Red and I overtook the Blue along the way and crossed in front... but that isn't what I have noticed to be the case. Usually it happens from a Blue that was NOT behind me the last time I looked. Most times... It is a Griff that jumps in behind me. I can't control that lol!

Avoid sniping early game. Requires great awareness and willingness of ejecting. New Elo MM System might allow you to be useful without ejecting, but the better idea is to avoid it early on. Avoid Artillery early game. Requires basic leading skill, who to shoot(a lot of target juggling and situational awareness), when to use, and heavily situational. Also reqires Ejecting know-how. Don't be a bad camper and needlessly annoy and/or make your team lose. Sniping in early game takes care of those pesky red beacon runners. It also allows good battlefield awareness, which aids in selecting the best bot to drop into at the right moment to really be an asset.

I'm in agreement with Pete here - that sniping should be mainly directed at taking out enemy mid-range (trident fury). Brawlers are capable of taking out early game beacon cappers - plus the brawler can then cap the beacon for Blue and defend it or push another beacon. But hey - if you're rockin that maxed quad trebuchet Butch on a large map then go for it - just please get the trident Furys first ?

Never stop moving
If your opponent loses track of you he's finished
Even if you're sniping/mid-range MOVE

The "Stop! Hammer time" maneuver...{Applies to non homing rockets and projectiles) Further away the better.
When you are walking sideways (side strafing)and you know your opponent is just about to fire; right when he does stop walking right there - Stop!...He's leading you and you just screwed his lead. Now count 2 seconds and keep walking in the same direction. You just screwed his second lead adjustment.
I cant tell you how many times half a payload of Orkan and Pins have missed me when I have done this...Hell, I have missed half payloads when its done to me...

Pray to entity of your choice that the maxed Treb Fury is not aiming at your non-shield bot?
Not that it ever worked for me, but at least I can curse the holy spagetthimonster if my Carnage collapses with his seizure-like animation once again...^^

Almost like it adds a little dramatic flair at the end... the kind that an actor would get reamed for doing by a director.

I rec "to die, to sleep - to sleep, maybe dream" or "and the rest is... silence...". Makes me laugh every time. Oh, dont do it when your in public transport...

If you're running a quad (Raijin especially) keep in mind that it's basically a roadblock. Once Raijin sniper deploys e.g. on dam in springfield there is often no passage left for other blues. That quad can climb - use this feature instead of blocking paths. NEVER use jump if there are reds with aphids nearby. Only recently got my first quad (Raijin); not yet used it much, levelling it at the moment. What was that about climbing? How and where can you climb?

Don't panic about the beacon bars! They can shift quickly. Instead, primarily focus more on bot preservation. (Generally) Now, of course, that may not ALWAYS be the case. However, I've focused more on this the past 6 matches and haven't lost a single one although many looked like it was headed in the direction of loss by beacon bar. In the end most ended with red botting out or nearly getting botted out. @ 1 beacon down agree but if it's 4 to 1 someone got to do something about it!! I am constantly amazed when the rest of my team mates don't hustle in a 4-1 situation.

Typical places are in Springfield - the dam and PP - the building next to cooling towers or the dome; there is also few places in DC with slope that allows Raijin to crawl up. I'm do not have one, but I've seen people driving it up the hill where my bots would simply stop.

basically before play: - know the win/lose system : beacon bar/defend the beacon/kill all enemy - know the weapon range : displayed by meter - know the weapon type : light/medium/heavy/splash/plasma/bullet - know the bot type and ability : HP/shield/energy shield/jump/weapon point/speed/stealth etc - know the weapon damage calculation - know about matchmaking system (although it changed periodically) - know the maps : wide/close
in the hangar : - put various type of bots in your hangar so in the game u can pick right bot according to the situation or map - put same weapon on 2/4 same weapon point, i.e 2 magnum on destrier/ 4 pinata on patton/ 2 magnum and 2 taran on griffin - match your weapon and your bot according to your playstyle, ie long range weapon on slow bot, short range on fast bot or big HP bot - chat with your clan/platoon for advice or strategy
in the game: - before u pick your first bot, see where u dropped (map) and your teamate first bot. if 2/3 of your teamate got their fast bot first (to claim beacon), then u may pick long range one - back up your teamate and defend the beacon - if u got range, shoot enemy who clossing the beacon - use wall for cover, shoot with good timing - go to red beacon when u have a chance

Lets get this straight, ive been playing two years now It took you TWO YEARS to get to level 29? Thanks for making my point. Can you behave like the "trusted" contributor you're meant to be? Please? I usually don't speak out about this type of thing, but I tire of scrolling through forums to spot you criticizing every little detail of existence. Like. Come on dude. There are multiple bots and varying degrees of gameplay styles. I'm also NOT going to respond to defense you'll try to raise. There is absolutely no excuse, and I'd appreciate if you were reprimanded.

Here are a few that I found to be effective; not sure if already posted:
1) Let the red come to you. 2) Keep moving and hitting whatever you can(this one should be obvious). 3) If you are running a lance then step back when there are incoming aphids; most of them will hit the shield. 4) Wait for the orkans to fill up before charging again. 5) Try to stay alive for at least two minutes in every bot while hitting reds. 6) Afraid of aphids? Keep moving sideways when in open and the damage will be much less. It will of course be different for light, medium and heavy bots. 7) You can outrun the orkans when running certain bots. You know that already right? 8) All is not lost even when all beacons are red. 9) First take out energy shield, then unload everything.
I might add some more later.

Would it be possible to remove or relocate all posts (including this) containing no useful information for the topic? It's now 5 pages with maybe 2 pages of useful information...
I don't care to read 10 posts about who plays more time or has more experience... also (not meant offensive) for me it's spam (in this thread only) if someone writes that a tip helped him or is useless to him.
Thanks Chaos
