1. Unlock phone 2. Android users - long press War Robots icon until...... 3. Uninstall option pops up 4. Think about the good ole days when all you had to worry about was Rhinos, Lances, and a Fury loaded with Tridents, or that funny looking toaster that wouldn't die (yeah, Pix had to F$%^ that up also) 5. Uninstall that fu&$er and never look back 6. Re-install because you just want to troll the crap out of the game in some vain effort to make everyone else realize.......
Why the hell are you spending money on this game? Dont give me BS about 'I grind for my silver' - ha, maybe if you were 14 and invested 8 hours/day in the game until you could legally drink at a bar.....you might be able to level 12 some form of the revolving door meta! Sorry mates, the few times i get on the field of battle, I'm more interested in doing stupid crap like running Pursuer Noricums, dash bot death (ie. Walking the plank), hanging by one of the engines on Carrier to see if I can jump on the hub in my Griffon without getting chewed up by blades, and my favorite is finding cool glitches in castle where I can float above the river! In a nutshell......Pi$o kept %ing with the game so now I'm doing the same back to them! Of course the whales will cometh and use their most valued wallet weapons......I sit back and laugh knowing that just maybe - a cool War Robots pilot will know exactly what I'm doing as I t-bag (circle dance) a dead Ares with my Cossack Storm. Peace out and have fun with this catastrophe of a game any way you can!

Before investing anything (time, gold, silver, real money) in Gold and Component weapons / bots, I recommend you do two things:
1. First and foremost, find your play-style. Experiment with Griffins, Natashas, Gareths. Experiment with Pinatas, Punishers, Tulumbas. Find out if you like long-range weapons, mid-range weapons or short-range weapons. Use weapons and bots that you've won in chests. Don't make the mistake I made when I invested 5,000 gold in Zeuses before realizing I liked long-range play better than mid-range play. But by finding out I didn't like Griffins, I saved resources by not investing in Hovers
2. After you know your play-style, ask others what setups they like with their bots. Again, don't make the mistakes I made. I invested in an Orkan/Ancile Lancelot against everyone's advice. I invested in Trebuchets without finding out from people whether to do that or Gekkos / Fluxes. Both those mistakes cost me quite a bit of gold. But by doing research on Pursuer setups, I am very, very happy with my investment in the Gust Pursuer.

Hug a wall as much as you hug your loved ones. Because in this game, walls will be your best friend for life. Hug buildings...but not walls. Splash from rockets, MERCURY HELLDIVE, and HELLBURNER OVERLOAD pass through walls (and ceilings/floors), but not buildings... Not sure about SUPPRESSION blast... I haven't been suppressed thru a wall ....maybe?

For robots that can Jump/fly, hid behind a wall and jump, take a few shots with your missiles, and fall down.

1) When using tarans, aim for the armpits or azz. Tarans consistently score full hits when aimed near the outer edges of the hit box.
2) Fire orkans/similar in smaller salvos vs just unloading so you don't waste your limited number of missiles with misses.
3) Pre-aim taser weapons (scourge/sparks) to avoid the 3 second lock-on. For instance, if an enemy is in stealth aim at a nearby enemy (even if behind cover) and get lock-on, then switch over when your original target leaves stealth to immediately start shooting.
4) Unless you are being targeted by aphids/hydrate don't hug thin walls (the standing metal barriers, orange energy walls in Castle, center beacon walls in Yamantau). Tridents/Tulumbas/Pins can shoot through them and their players know it.
5) Conversely, if playing Tridents/Tulumbas/Pins, always fire a test shot at enemies standing behind thin walls. If you score a hit, unload immediately before they realize what's going on and step back.
6) Regular missiles (Orkans & Tulumbas) can shoot up through the ceiling in some spaces like the center beacon chamber in Moon or the bridge on Castle. This is easier with Tulumbas-type missiles than Orkans where you have to be standing right under the enemy to score a hit. Hellburner and Mercury explosions can score hits BOTH above and below the ceiling/floor.
7) You can take some beacons by standing below them like the side beacons on Yamantau or the home beacons on Carrier. Because of this, it is often better to try and take the enemy's home beacon on Carrier map as your 4th without being noticed as the side beacon is almost always well-defended.
8) Keep obstacles between you and all enemies when navigating the map to avoid taking random fire. Regard all gaps in cover as the "danger zone" and cross carefully. Don't just walk out into the open unless you're sure you can't be targeted. Playing FFA is a great way to drill this habit into you.
9) Hug the walls when you need to while taking cover but otherwise make a habit of not trying to walk right next to them as you get instantly stuck the second you touch them. Be aware of what weapons you have and how far the stick out in front of your bot as they can easily get caught on corners and walls. Getting stuck while moving is a quick way to get dead.
10) Always try to think through where you're jumping TO before jumping and make sure to mlline up your legs properly. Drill this into your head until it's automatic. Taking fire often can make you do a panicked jump, and sometimes you have to, but you don't want to get in the habit of making sloppy jumps. It kills you more than it saves you.
11) In beacon rush, always expect an enemy to drop in while you're trying to turn their beacon. Think through your retreat beforehand so you can preserve your bot and then kill them. Try and save your ability for when they drop in.
12) If trying to turn a beacon in beacon rush, be careful about fully killing any enemy bots defending it vs just crippling them until it's turned white. If they die while the beacon is still red, they can drop in with a fresh bot. If they are low on ammo, or some of their weapons are blown off, or they just aren't equipped to really damage your bot, hold off on the kill until they can't respawn. Obviously if they are standing on the beacon you do have to kill them.
13) In general, jump bots without Descend stealth ability (Raven, Griffin, Hover, Rogatka, Ao Qin) should use their ability sparingly and mostly travel and fight on the ground. Mostly use your jump to travel fast when you know you're unlikely to be shot or to retreat behind cover. Only jump as an attack when you're certain you'll get a clean kill.

I would have to say,
1, never let an enemy escape with low health if you can, it is not about that extra kill it is about that dmg they should not be able to get but they still are because they can hide and peek out when it is safe to shoot
2, always pay attention to how agressive specific players are, then later when you see one who you remember to rush a lot walking in your direction you know to be prepared
3, try to get behind the enemies, if you can dump your load their butt before they know your there ("interesting" sentence I know) then continue spawn killing them using knowledge of the terrain you can get teams down a player really quick which helps immensly
4, I know how much you hate those spydra users but spawn raiding usually means the loss of your bot, be sure that you can take atleast 2 bots down before you fall
5, going off of that you should try to take at least one bot although preferably 2 down with just one of yours, this means your team has at least equal kills to deaths meaning your team will not lose very easily
6, never just go with the group, if there is a weyland this does not apply but otherwise GO A DIFFERENT WAY. When enemies get behind or even just beside you it gets much harder to win a fight because there are to many places you will get hit in
7, learn to recognise bots and weapons even if you just see a single frame of them being on the screen if you can tell what they are in and what is attached to it it makes preparations to counter it or retreat easier and quicker
8, just a general knowledge of what is around you, what was around you, and what will be around you if it is easy to predict
9, and finally just know for sure what you like to play, dont run the stuff that is meta, to many people complain and whine and moan about how much meta people run but run it themselves. Be different, run something you LIKE to play, not think you NEED to play
Alrighty, there is my mini list of quick and hopefully good tips and tricks

This is a legit thread about tips and tricks... not a rant thread. We have a whole section for that, we don't need it here. That was a tip too. Tell me it wont help someone to get better seriously it won't tell someone how to get better, all it does is shows people how to use MONEY, no matter what you get woth your MONEY it in no way helps your skills, I run a hanger that is all around lv9 stuff and STOMP those type of people, ya know why? Because I have some SERIOUS SKILLS. This is a thread to help people get better at PLAYING THE GAME. I mean come on dude, i'm pretty damn sure you knew that didn't really go on here before you posted it, and besides no matter how big your wallet is it still isn't thick enough to guard you against the skill stick that I and many others wield PS: please don't even try shooting back, you will not get anywhere and what I said was what you were practically BEGGING for. Its sad when people say stuff like this when most players who are reading this actually play the game F2P or as a low spender

War Robots is a clock. If an Ao Jun/Ares/Leech whatever is playing footsie with you and is hiding behind a wall, don't confront it, retreat and let it try to seek you. If Ao Jun wants to fly around, circle cover. The last thing you want is to get locked down and dropped. If you can't stand toe to toe, do not get confrontational. Sometimes it's better to utilize bots like Exodus Strider and slowly wear down your opponent with speed, ambush, and minimal exposure. If they can't hit you, and no other red can, you have nothing to worry about. If you lose to beacons it's whatever, blame it on your team, but if you lose a confrontation, you can blame it on gear or you can blame it on a lack of tactic. I always take the time to analyze what I did wrong, if I did something wrong. You won't always be wrong, sometimes the stack just falls and there is more than one red on your 「bum-bum」 and there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it.

1. Join a solid clan. Ideally one on Discord, that plays regularly, and actively seeks to support your advancement/enjoyment of the game. Many clan’s have channels that display maps, tactics, ideal load outs, etc. Super helpful. The last three months with a solid clan helped me to adjust to the new meta without breaking my wallet, by making smarter choices and working with what I already had.
2. Weapons are key to earning silver. Level up weapons before leveling bots. Level 9 bots are good enough, max out those weapons. Also, don’t always chase the meta. Lately, I find myself using Tulumbus, Storms, and Avengers. They’re cheaper to level up compared to Halo, Corona, Glory. And those weapons about to get nerfed soon any way. I still have leveled Punishers, Orkans, and Tarans, just in case. Helps to have options.
3. Play the test server. Doing research is one thing, and super helpful to be sure. But then you have to test it out, making sure that a particular build fits your play style. Test server let’s you experiment with a wide range of bots without wasting time and money on live server. This has been pivotal in staying ahead of the meta, and trying out every permutation of bot, weapons, mods, and pilot skills. Bonus: Make a video of your session and earn 500 gold.
4. Play to win. What ever mode you are playing, keep track of time, score, your team, and the immediate objectives that can further the game. Each time you bot out, make sure to leave the field in better shape than how you entered it. Avoid tunnel vision, take moments while behind cover to survey the field, always seeking opportunities to put opponents off balance, hugging cover, having to undo what ever gains your team has made.
5. Have fun. Easy to get caught up in the gripe fest. Yes, paying some money into the game is essential, if only the VIP to half leveling times. Find your play style, stick with the bots you have and love, then level them. Focus on weapons and level them with the long haul in mind. I’ve been playing three years+. I loved the Griffin and Galahad. Now I’m running Ravens and Ao Jun. Adapt, overcome and enjoy! Remember, its a game after all.

^^^I like the above^^^ Be painfully aware of what mode you are playing. Beacon Rush, Domination, TDM, even FFA.
About Beacons: If you are in some sort of support Bot like Hydra or Chimera and you are hanging back doing your support thing and your Blue team is getting their beacons run over by reds consistently, game after game, you need to consider changing to TDM only. In beacon games you need to focus on how you are ACTIVELY contributing to taking and/or holding beacons. If your nearest beacon is usually 350m away and the last beacon you actually almost took was 4 matches ago, you need to play TDM instead. There's no shame in that.

just found this thread, there is some solid advice(gold) here.
i have some advice for br ( dont know if most of you know it or not)
when your capturing a beacon in br, keep track of the kill list going on the bottom of the screen , when you see a red get killed or destroyed, get ready to defend the beacon.

No offense meant to the content creator, BUT, this is a textbook example of why range is dead for beacon games. Even a Leech/Molot would've been better in the first 6 minutes of this video:
Sorry, not much of a Pro tip. Slow news day.

didn't read 10 pages of this thread so if it's been mentioned already, forgive me...
BATTLEFIELD AWARENESS!!!
Know what's going on all over the map. This was never an issue in Champions League until the merger and now I'm seeing a lot of pilots just not paying attention to the big picture.
A-For example, someone caps red's home beacon in a BR game, 2 things may happen: 1- blues tunnel vision on a spawn raid and drop at red's home, neglecting the fact that there's one or two reds grabbing the rest of the beacons on the map and/or blues botting out in the process.
2- blues ignore the fact that a red's home is capped and continue to camp in treb behemoths, et.al. on a short map...
B-There's a small fast bot flanking blues and nobody notices till they're grabbing a home beacon C-The entirety of the blue team is tunnel vision focused on holding or snatching a beacon they don't see other beacons being grabbed (variation of A) D-BR; early on, there are 4 reds in game and you're about to solo cap a red beacon, chances are 2 reds are going to drop just as you start to cap and there's no plan B
ya get the idea...just be aware and that info will aid in making better battle decisions.
hope it helps.

1. When you're a heavy bot trying to smoke a lighter faster one, and you're chasing him around a pillar. Stop, play dead... try to make him think you lost your internet connection so you can lure him in.
2. When walking, avoid large steps and use ramps where possible. Your bot pauses a bit each time it rolls over a large ledge or bump
3. When you are walking and firing, time the cooldown of your weapon to where you can find cover
4. Use your teammates as cover and cover your teammates. If your bot is almost done or your health is low then sacrifice your bot and cover your team, esp if they're using healing bots like Try, Weyland, Mender. Same in reverse.
5. Look for mistakes. For the meta bots like Ares, Leech, Ao Juns ... these are all hit and run / Hide and strike type bots. Look for a player using them too aggressively and therefore not able to retreat. Or for an Ao Jun, look for incorrect timing ... they always want to land behind buildings or cover, sometimes they miss and land on top.
6. If your team is all hitting an arthur from the FRONT, flank it. If you can fly try to hit it from the top. Or flank to the sides and back. Base Arthur HP is lower than a Kid's at the same level. They are weak from the top, sides and back.
7. For the good of the team, sometimes you need to let go of a beacon. If one red is capping it, another red is close, if you spawn and try to save it you might be sacrificing your bot. You need to gauge if its worth the sacrifice or not.
8. Point your legs to your getaway direction if you are standing still and firing. That way when you move, you can avoid the time needed to turn your legs.
9. Look around you at the start of your match. I'm still using old clunkers like Nat, Griff and Leos. If I see Blitz's, Juns, Ares, Leech, Inquisitors I know I'm planing with meta bots so I need to hang back and support. I don't have much of a chance against a Leech or Jun on my own. Ie: if one of my players is in a Cerebus trying to catch a Leech who is hiding to recharge its ability, I can flank the Leech on the opposite side to help my Cerebus team mate. If I see other Leos, Nats and Griffs, I know I can play more aggressively.
10. At the end of a battle, try to form a squad with players in position #4, 5 on your team that got decent kills and beacons. They are often lower level than position #1, 2, 3 but still good players. They will perform good in a squad and you will benefit by (hopefully) getting a lower league battle.

This is just my opinion but I don't think multiple Hangar decks are worth it. Sure, you get to swap between robots for certain maps, but you will only need some brawlers, skirmishers and beacon-runners. I would only use hangar decks if I was playing QM, but other than that, why waste gold on that when you could be using it to get new weapons or upgrade stuff? It's just Pixs way of getting money from people who are too lazy to switch robots in their 1st hangar.

This is my personal approach.
1. Awareness. I know who am I and what actually can to do
2. See all the map and not a specific spot. Seeing all the map means that every sec you know where you have to be.
3. Determine your playing style. This has to do directly with the hangar. If you are a sniper act like one. If you are a brawler the same.. Mid range etc
4. When is time to focus.. Focus in the most difficult players. Erase hard players from the equation increases the possibilities of winning.
5. Always take a sec to watch the bar in the top
6. I am going near other teammates. Going alone increase dramatically the change loosing your bots and eventually the battle
7. Choose wisely your teammates in full squad based on the mode you are choosing
This are some simple generic guidelines that I personally follow

Hello everybody! Newbies and long time Walking War Robots fans! Today I’m going to share some in-game tips to make you a better pilot, cheers!
First tip: it seems like I am the only one that knows this and utilizes it,but if you are on a map like carrier or Moon and you have splash, Exodus, glacier, Cryo, Rome, Orkan and etc. anything with splash you can fire up at the bridge if somebody is DIRECTLY ABOVE YOU. Take this precisely and directly as it only works as I said it, you have to find the sweet spot where you are able to target upwards but still be vertically under as much as possible. ( idk if that makes sense or not) then you simply fire and BAM! Damage done, I have done this many times and even gotten a few kills from this secretive knowledge!
Unfortunately that’s all I have for today, because I have other things to do. But keep hunting Commanders! Good luck out there on the field.
Sincerely, ~The Boa King~

If you have a T-Falcon, you have a perfect tank for protecting a beacon from the five reds that charge at you.
And a distraction!!! Don't run away!!! (ymmv) That means your five blue teammates have a clear, open road to liberate other beacons.
But don't let the enemy use this against you... if there's a T-Falcon furiously guarding a beacon, don't spend ages trying to gun it down. That's what it wants you to do. Sneak away and go for other beacons.

Have and keep a good sense of humor. Things can go wrong. You always can die, and feel that you shouldn't have. Attempts at revenge can really just cost you and your teammates.

Most of the time, we wouldn't recommend "mixed ranged" builds. Especially if you decide you want to get more than one hanger. For example, a Griffin with a short-ranged Orkan, a medium-ranged Punisher, a medium-ranged Wasp and a long-ranged Gekko is not very useful.
However, if you prefer to have only one hanger, some Tier-4 bots have powerful built-in weapons that allow flexible two-range builds for changing your strategy on-the-go. An Orkan / Pinata Ares can be powerful up close and from a distance (with its built-in energy cannons). Or a Dragoon Ao Jun. Or a Flux / Gekko Hawk (I like this one, but I won't recommend it.)

This is working with my Cerberus. The built-in weapon has a 350m range, but I'm running a Nucleon and Punisher-Ts that are definitely effective beyond that. Sometimes I hold fire until I'm within 350m, pop the target with Blackout, and then open up with the guns, but I've also done the opposite where I'm putting on gun pressure as I run into Blackout range. It's a neat combination.
