Minos - it has its thing (& can send loki flying into oblivion!) Believe it or not, at best, "sometimes." As a casual Minos driver I always expect that I can just send bots flying when I charge them but this happens maybe 1 outta 10? Loki (which one can assume would be the easiest to fling) isn't all that susceptible to getting shoved off a beacon by Minos. It has happened, but at a rate that it is worthwhile for me try to jink and stay on the beacon. Luchador, yep, the flying stomp DOES hurt, but if my health isn't too low I just hit AH and often survive the attack. I've died around 4 times this way. Indra, the beam thing hurts. I've died twice this way.

Thats fine, you do you, I mean, when I enter a match where the other team is mainly Spear Khepri and Anglers, I just leave too for same reason. As far as Loki weapons, lmao Pin? What league/s are you in? Pin is low league weapon, like no further than maybe Silver league! Rime can be good if you time it right, but at the moment optimal Loki weapons are things like Sonics, Bsgs, or Rust. The optimal times to come out of stealth and attack are:
I would say, try mixing rime with Bsgs.
But why use pin? Explosive damage effect + short full unload time.

I appreciate the input, but I have played this game many many years, and Pins have never been good for brawling and they certainly and severely underperform in higher leagues. All bsg or sonic is the most optimal for Loki, but yes a mixture of Rime and Bsg would be a good combo, Pins are a hard NO for leagues above Silver or maybe part way into Gold

Let's look for places that Loki can jump to, perch higher up, AND hold the beacon. (I forgot about this advanced uber-trolling tactic.) Remember that Angler/Shell can often still get you so YMMV! Please, help me compile the list! Thanks. Moon:-- you can multi-jump right to the top of CB and hold that beacon, I think. - Confirmed, easy Power Plant:-- you can be on top at the Hallway beacon and hold there. - Confirmed, easy -- Either home beacon has a shelf you can get to and still hold the beacon. - Confirmed, easy Rome:-- the shelf-like parts inside the Colliseum, jump up that scant 3 meters and probably avoid a lot of random fire while you are constantly stealthed. - Confirmed, easy -- Jump on one of the buildings in the city and hold that beacon. - Confirmed, easy -- Jump on the glass house building-thingy and hold that beacon. - Confirmed, mostly easy -- On the spawn home buildings. - Confirmed, easy -- On the skinny semi circle spawn home building. - Confirmed, tough -- Wow, this map is built for a jumping Loki! :-) Springfield:-- OMG on top of that split hangar-shelf thing at the HB of the the dam spawn-side. - Confirmed, easy -- At farm there's a barn that overlaps the building, perch on top - - Confirmed, medium Abyss? Canyon? Carrier? Castle? Dead City? (There may be a multi-jump-to-perch option here, I'll test and report back: Update, it doesn't work. You can get there with 2 or 3 jumps but you can't cap the beacon.) Dreadnought? Factory? Shenzhen? Springfield? Valley? (The odd buidings on the upper beacons on valley do work, but to stick the landing is super tough. I did it once. so in the heat of battle this isn't viable.) Yamantau? (Coming soon!) BB You're our jumping expert, any inputs? meetjoeblack J.u.n.k.M.a.l.e. ѻﻭɼﻉ

Classic Tom Waits, don’t be afraid, he can’t hurt you Anyhoo…can your Loki get on top of the Moon center dome and turn that beac from up there? My Rogs can work that dome nicely if the MM is being kind on that particular game. I think there are a few spots on various maps that different bots have different affects on beacons. In other words not all bots can flip the same bacon given the opportunity. Please don’t ask me for a comprehensive list. Have you perfected the Dead city center ramp shots to swish those side beacons? Sticking the landing directly on the bacon is for hero's only! Working those side ramps on carrier is a game changer and a must do for any jump mod speedster playing BR mode. Im always trying new stunts in game with my jump Pursuers. Speed + well executed jump = epic results regardless of whether or not they work 😂

Not sure, I mean, yeah, top of moon, top of home arch on springfield. None of the other maps really have tricky elevated capping positions, but this is beside the point imo. When it comes do jump Loki, the value is more to do with its ability to evade, cross distances much quicker than most other mechs, and be able to quickly access beacons or ambush targets by circumventing obstructions that prevent your ordinary mech from traversing. So, I think a more functional list would be one that shows jump launch points on various maps, which enable Loki to quickly access a beacon or clear obstructions. I am so busy though, so not a lot of time to explore and take notes at the moment.

ѻﻭɼﻉ I guess all I was looking for is kind of a heads-up jumping playstyle. If the battle permits, one can jump their Loki to an annoying spot and hang out as long as they see fit. If pandemonium is in order the jumper can do that as well. I updated the list above to show spots that I/we tested as viable jump-and-hold points.

I get it, but that is what I was saying, amongst all the maps there are only a couple spots where you can cap/hold a beacon from elevated positions only accessible with jump or flight. In general I dont see much value in hiding in a Loki on other elevated places, but what I do see great value in is knowing launch points that will enable me to land in a beacon zone quickly. Knowing these would reduce the in combat trial and error that often results in things like overshooting our intended landing, coming up short, or jumping too late and hitting an obstruction. The value of this with regards to beacons is that if we land in a beacon zone, we will immediately be turning it while the enemies are still struggling to catch up with us lmao

A compendium of Jumping Loki shortcuts and ways to shake off the chasers etc etc. Love it. Right now I'm running an AH Loki and a Jumping Loki in Hangar #1. So far the AH Loki is ahead on usefulness but the results sample size is quite small.

So far the AH Loki is ahead on usefulness but the results sample size is quite small. From a lot of gameplay with both play styles, I will say that the Trixie repair Loki is much more useful for the simple fact that it can lock down a beacon for extended periods of time even against Angler. While a jump Loki is fun and can access some beacons quicker, there are a lot of instances with that is not nearly as useful because if you can’t live long enough to hold any of those beacons that need you to stay put, what really was the point. The Trixie Loki can still get to beacons relatively quickly, AND lock down one of them if need be.

and kudos to Oliver Kloesov for really exploring the Whiteout drone with Trixie Loki, because not only can you remain (in many many instances) relatively untouched for a prolonged duration, you can move around the map and purposely stand near other enemies your team is firing at, as this frequently blocks those enemies from using abilities or repair module. In this way you greatly contribute to easier enemy kills. Lastly, to be frank, now that I get my epic jump thrills with my Pursuers (hats off to BB mkayyy), I do not see myself using jump on Loki, since Trixie is the 「dookie」!

ѻﻭɼﻉ I love it when a fancy pants Angler hits me with his ability twice and he looks at me with, “What, you still here?” To which I respond, “Yer gonna have to bring more than that, Bubba!” It is quite a boring build but I LOVE holding a beacon against many comers. Once in a while i’ll wander away just to give a red a whiteout zap then back onto the beacon.

I really don't get the idea of jump with Loki. When I've got Murometz out, any jumping Loki's within 700m get swatted out of the air like flies 'cause I put 2*QS on there to deal with all the other metzs jumping in stealth. But maybe I'm the only one that does that... IMHO, a jumping Loki is asking to be killed because it is forgoing cover. Then again, maybe at higher leagues than I play in, nobody uses QS/Quantum Radar ...

Then again, maybe at higher leagues than I play in, nobody uses QS/Quantum Radar ... For right now what I'm seeing is a rarity of QS/Quantum Radar. The Pantagruel weapons are a PitA. Ao Jun/Lee pilot is a great counter but rare. When the drone rework happens there's gonna be a big shift in meta IMHO. And then sadly, there may be a lot more Quantum Radar out there.

Sigh, when Ao Jun/Lee first came out, they literally were "Death Wings" if you were in a Loki. Ao Jun got nerf'd a bit and that made them less popular (yay!)

Update! I feel like a Quantum Radar module salesman. Truly this morning I ran into a Typhon running Quantum Radar, and that's a rare thing. In dozens of matches there was one Behemoth, the odd Ao Jun, and a few Titans. Quantum Radar is rare and me likey. But! I'm running a 2 x Loki/Trixie/Advanced Heal/Whiteout/Sonic beacon holding monsters. AAaaand my rating is down to Masters 1 and slowly falling. So I may very well reduce down to 1 Loki or zero. Running two of the little guys has allowed me to gather twice the data. It is a rare match (5%?) where I'm completely shut down and in around 25% of the matches I make a significant contribution to the match (with maybe not firing a shot.) "If you could see what I've seen with your eyes." The red frustration. The Impotent Anglers. Poor baby.As ѻﻭɼﻉ has said running a Loki (or two!) puts your team down on damage output. So, even though I'm the hero that, at times, holds down CB with unchallenged audacity for like 5 or 6 minutes, the blues still lose and that ain't fair to the blues. In highly-coordinated clan play, the Loki could have a very solid, maybe even full-on meta role. At times the Loki can be UNFAIR as heck to the reds. So why this experiment? A: It's fun as balls. (Fun being a PitA, but hitting AH over and over not so much.) B: I wanted to know about Loki once and for all. C: I haaaate being yet another meta guy. I have the Trifecta of today's meta: Khepri/Spear, Angler/Talon-class, and Nether (that i have yet to run.) For around 100 matches I've barely dropped any of these and haven't missed them. The Khepri/Spear is brutal and SOOOOOoooo unfair, lethal, and douchey. D: See A: above. Oh! Newsflash! Loki, is vastly superior in holding down a beacon compared to Skyros. I ran a full-blown beacon holding tank Skyros a few times and the difference was astounding. "You can't hit what you can't see." They can always see a Skyros. In this meta Lokis > Skyros by far. (Because I ran Skyros just a few times I'll drop one Loki, add a Skyros and report back after getting more data. This'll be interesting.

Oliver KloesovI would like to clarify my comment about a team being down on damage when Loki is on team, as this is the common argument for dismissing the usefulness of Loki. A skilled Loki driver will pay attention to not only what is happening with beacons, but what is happening in combat, and rather than merely lock down a beacon or steal more beacons, they will utilize their stealth advantage to also assist via assassin/ambusher role when it is clearly needed. If they dont also utilize the assassin role where needed, then yes, the team is one man down.

Fwiw, the price is not much if it is primarily ambush of distracted enemies, I find, so traveling across a map to a skirmish in progress seems to draw less attention than unfurling weapons against someone fully focussed on you.

10 of these were beacon steals from a Red Loki. They’d neutralize it and I’d flip it back to Blue, all over Shenzhen. Lower Khep BSGs to the rescue! Thanks for the gumball, Mickey Bacon, Loki!

Just a flyby post re:good locations. This one doesn’t require a jump but I encountered a Loki hanging off the center bridge on Canyon right in the corner and NO ONE PAID IT ANY MIND even though they couldn't flip the beacon. Crazy. I had to drop into a bot with an active module and use Quantum Radar to roast it, taking a crapton of damage from it's teammates who knew what it was up to and noticed me shooting it. EDIT: Went looking for a screenshot of it, could not find it. However did find this gem I kept from 2020 I thought you gents might enjoy.

There is a role for Loki as a troll: to get reds to follow it into foreign land and into the guns of waiting blues.
