While the mini turret can be hit and destroyed, it DOES NOT have a targeting box, so it has to be shot manually.

While the mini turret can be hit and destroyed, it DOES NOT have a targeting box, so it has to be shot manually. Hmm, not sure I like that. If it had a targeting box, that means it can give you a split second where it draws red fire. It could also be targeted by JRs from around corners and be bait. Not being targetable means a bit more life for it. Hm...oh well.

Not being targetable means a bit more life for it. Hm...oh well. Not being directly targetable means it's more likely to survive and actually put it's damage out. To be fair, Cheetah would be complete garbage if it's mines were easy to pick off, by that logic, it's a good thing the turret has to be manually targeted. With Missile Racks and railguns aplenty, wasting that much damage on manually targeting the turret would be a bad thing, but the damage it deals is likely still enough to whittle off enough health to put them in kill range. Similar to Redox's ability damage.

If they can't be targeted, doesn't that mean they're technically stealth drones?

Wow, someone finished the Derby already? Sheesh, I thought I was doing well. I just got 250, so one more day to go, and looks like I'll finish a day earlier than necessary. Since the started EN is only 16, I'm thinking of slapping my LA8s on it since mine are decently leveled and I'm not using it for Thanos anymore. With only 24k HP, I'm not gonna try to brawl or get into CQC with it.

A few days isn't going to do much of anything in terms of the blueprints required to level it up, so it's no big deal.

Thanks to posts in this thread I put my resources into leveling KS to 6.2 instead f saving for Arachnos. He now hits harder and is a bit tougher to kill. Armed for now with MR 6, often with JR 6.

Ok, I took the Arachnos out for a couple of games. Short answer: Thumbs way down until I can level this guy up. Long answer: slow as molasses, low HP (due to not being leveled), low EN for Attacker role (due to be unleveled), and the spider turret while cute doesn't do anything if nothing comes in range. After cool down, you can press the ability button again and move the turret to where you currently are.
On a good note, the Arachnos looks really cool in sprint mode. Really looks like a speedy little bug with all those legs.

Wow, that guy has a lot of A-coins! If I were gonna do something like that and bring a mech to 32EN, it'd be either my Guardian or Panther first as I'm closer to 32EN than with the Arachnos. The time lapse of the combat doesn't show you how slow the mech is though - which is not necessarily a bad thing when running dual RG16s.
I think I'm just gonna upgrade organically. I'm in no particular rush to get to 32EN.

Put 2 railguns on anything and it will kick butt. How about a real world example that the other 99.99% of the player base can relate to.

He was showing that even maxed out with 2xRGs, it wasn't competitive. Sure it killed AI with that loadout, but it's so slow, the HP is so low, and the turret is basically laughable, that it would not do much for top level play. There are a few videos out there about mid level upgrades with it, too... but Maxed out was my concern. I'm willing to be patient leveling if it is worth it in the end, but overall, I'd rather max Shadow to run a RG on that, at this point.
I will get it, since I don't really care how my games go nowadays (had too many weak Blue AI determined games lately) and am just acquiring resources and completing tasks when solo.
Squadding is it's own goal so I don't even realize what I complete till I'm done playing lol.

I might level it up to 24EN one day just to run RM12s on it as the rocket mortar is good for farming/grinding TDM games.

In all seriousness, I think this mech is like the Surge and the Redox....unnecessary for my hangar. Until they bring out more 16EN weapons, I really don't see the point when my Guardian and Panther are much closer to 32EN than anything new they bring in.

Nice, you did much better than I did with it! Still only being around 40,000 XP might have something to do with that. I’m only running 3 slots, either MR8’s on Paragon, or more often RPG’s on Ares usually go in that slot. I figured I’d take it for a spin to see how it does. For a couple of games it actually wasn’t that bad. Obviously very squishy, though it has more HP than my Panther (without the fence), so once something has a bead on it, you can write it off. That’s why I figured MR’s on it would be best. It really should have more speed, at least equal to Paragon, since it has no other defenses. You can’t really call that pea-shooting turret a defense. Gotta get my new Ares up to R4 so it can sport the MR’s, then I’ll decide what to do with this 4-legger. But I’ll run it for now, unless/until it becomes too much of a liability. Anybody know if that peashooter’s damage increases at all as the mech gets upgraded?

Considering it shows 516 damage in combat, that means it fires at 600rpm. For 10 seconds, that's 100 rounds. All that being said, since it only shoots at what it can hit, it deals 25,800 damage in it's firing duration. Imo, damage needs to be doubled for it to be in line with the other mechs At max: -Cheetah: 3 mines deals 47k -Killshot: Dash deals 39K -Redox: Every target tagged by it's ability takes 22K

Well, what did we expect from a free mech eh? What a shame, this mech had so much potential too. First 4 legged mech in the game, first with a drone/turrent, and the aesthetics looked really cool too. I guess I'm sticking with my two attackers, Guardian and Panther. KS and Shadow for scout/capping/sucker punch functions and I just need to make up my mind about the last slot. Either MD or Zephyr.

Wow I have no clue how to play this mech...
First time I will say that I really do think this mech needs a buff in some sense.. I know it was "free" and its only "rare" but compared to the other rare bots its certainly hands down the weaker of them all.
My whole hanger is upside down as I figured now is the time to start pushing to a new normal. I did take the shadow up to R5.7 that was a nice ~7k acoins..
Panther/KS/Zeph/Shadow/ unknown (spider for now just to play with) I think the Ares is decent now with the change I seem to be playing it well.. but the Guardian may be a better choice though I've never piloted it well.
I did just see this on discord so curious what will come from it.
"Rescue — Yesterday at 8:18 AM Morning Everyone! :coffee:
COMPENSATION IDEAS REQUESTS - I will be putting together a list of idea requests for compensation for the 2nd copy removal from the MA Community. So this is your chance to be heard. - DM me with your idea requests for compensation. (Right Click my name and click on Message) - I am assuming I will get flooded so don't freak out if I don't respond to each DM directly but I will read all of them. - Try to make it reasonable and realistic. What I mean is no demands for a Space Station on the Moon with a Death-Ray. It has to be something within the power of the Devs to provide or give. - I want to compile the list today so will be taking requests until the end of 7/20/21. - Thank you to all those who respond and participate. Arachnos is bad. The turret doesn't deal enough damage. Not a deterrent, not even a nuisance because of the range. It's basically an even crappier Paragon, and I actually like Paragon. 2 "heavy" class mechs is overkill unless you see yourself running both Stasis 16 and Railgun in the same hangar. I'd say go for another light mech, because I'm me. On a more serious note though, I'd say pick a tank. While 6.7 may be miles away, the current weapons in game can only accommodate the following hangar setups at max without making a dedicated Mortar mech: 4 medium, 1 heavy 1 light, 2 medium, 2 Heavy 2 light, 2 medium, 1 Heavy My whole schtick is remaining balanced, so I'd say 1 of each role(Scout, Tank, Support, Attacker) with the last slot flexible for the game mode/tournament map.
