To be fair, the other players in your group will be going through the same thing. Oddly, I’ve never met anyone who’s in my tourney group.

Ok, here’s another one ... if they can program AI to kill with pinpoint accuracy, why can’t they program them tho CAPTURE CONTROL POINTS?!?! Started a game this morning and watched two of them Stroll right around the nearest point. Happens all game long, too. But man they can pick off a pimple on a gnat’s ?bum-bum? without batting an eye ... as long as the gnat is blue.

And then I get games like this. In my challenges today were Restore 62,500 teammates’ HP with a MD, and deal 125k damage with autocannons. So I slapped autocannons on MD and went at it in Tournament. Last game it was the only bot I ran, got 5 kills and 5 assists, good enough for #1 bot in the match. Two games before that I got pasted bad in quick games. I guess I can deal with the pastings as long as I get that challenge loot.

I don’t know what’s going on today. I had decent games yesterday, this morning I can’t win anything. Except for one good tournament game, I’ve lost EVERY quick game, and every one was because my hangar was badly outmatched by everyone else, and NO ONE on the blue team could take a control point. These streaks are extremely frustrating. Not to mention there’s no way in hell I’ll be able to complete today’s challenges, which I desperately need.

If the game shows serious hate, just play your dailies and give it a rest. The more you play, the more hateful the AI on the enemy team gets, while yours still stay fairly dumb. I usually don't play for very long on mondays because the Tournament is off, and it drops how "kill all humans" the enemy AI is considerably. Play for just your dailies for a day or two and it should be fine.

To be fair, the other players in your group will be going through the same thing. Oddly, I’ve never met anyone who’s in my tourney group. You matchmake with everyone in your Ranking bracket and Rank appropriate AI. Your ranking card is only populated by the people that started their first match around the same time that card is being populated. The 20 players on the card never change once the card is full. This keeps the actual competition pole position small, and removes the usual headache of trying to connect players specifically by who they're competing against.

I did it again. I said I wasn’t gonna spend any more $$$ for awhile. I said I’ve blown my gaming budget for the month in one week, so it’s time to stick with what I got, level up what I can level with the resources I get from playing, and in a few weeks reevaluate what might be worth dumping another few $$$ on. And I was sticking to that. Right up until they offered me Pulse Cannon 8’s for $2.99. Yes, I’d already unlocked them, but I drained all my vast game wealth on the Guardian, and I’m about 70k credits shy of the 72k I need to get them. That’s 70k credits I’ll badly need for other upgrades. So I hemmed and I hawed, and hemmed a bit more, and decided $2.99 is just another drop in the bucket. So I did it again. My rant in all this? This game knows how to hit my soft spot. On the positive side, Guardian really likes his new guns. He likes them so much he got 9 kills his first time out with them.

I have ?fluffernutter?ing had it with ?fluffernutter?ing idiot camper teammates who do nothing but spam ?fluffernutter?ing mortar rockets in a ?fluffernutter?ing control point game. You are not doing ?dookie? to help the ?fluffernutter?ing team, MORON.
Only took one game today to want to fling my iPad across the room. I’?m taking a break now before I do something I’ll regret.

I made suggestions about adjusting the AI and how the bots are distributed to the discord mod. The Rocket Mortar bots, especially when you're a low level player, are AI.

FINALLY got some good players to squad with for a few games. A couple of games @s1e1 and I went down in a fiery ball of mech poop, but the rest were good.

I get the delay to re-spawn a bot in normal matches, but for tournament.. its killer to sit and wait.. It's to give combatants on the flanks enough time to reposition so no one can spawn right next to an enemy unless they're careless, or actively trying to catch someone off guard by camping a spawn. Otherwise killing pretty much any bot for a great area of the arena could have them instantly spawn in with a Killshot, Zephyr, Guardian or Panther and immediately clean up the mech that killed them.

So .... as miserable as yesterday was, today was significantly more enjoyable. Still no squad games, but probably about a 60% win rate, far more palatable than yesterday’s 19%, including a couple of decisive quick match wins. And maxed out my XP’s and finished all my challenges by 1:00 pm with only having to swap out one of them. Also learned that RPG’s aren’t so bad on Killshot and Ares, thanks to a RPG challenge. RPG Killshot even got top bot in one tournament game ... no idea how that happened.
I don’t get it.

It is what it is and I don’t have much to complain about, but by far the worst thing about having random teammates is when they’re all near an enemy with a sliver of hp AND THEY DON’T ?fluffernutter?ING KILL IT!

Pet peeve that is beginning to grind my gears - why the other blues can bully me out the way, but I can't push them around at all - even the tiddlers are rock solid if I try to barge through, but I get buffed around from anything. Made worse at the start of a match when a Jugg wanders around - yeah I'll go after this bacon, no, hang on, I'll reverse into the spawn point where lavajava is and totally block him. Grrrr. Oh, and if I want to try to retreat cos under too much fire, but a blue is behind me and I just soak the damage and die. How did I end up being a meat shield for AI??! /end rant

I find it frustrating when you are in a tournament, you rack up 4 or 5 kills....and the final score is 10-5, and you lose.

Just one minor little complaint ... When I can’t find anybody to team up with, kindly STOP TEAMING ME UP WITH TOTAL ?fluffernutter?ING MORONS. It’s bad enough the strength of every player on the red team is at least 200 higher than the highest player on the blue team (which, bumpy the way, is NEVER me), at least give me a fighting chance with teammates who have at least a marginal clue about what the ?fluffernutter? they are doing.
That is all.
For now.

Each day I get a different map like 90% of the time, what is up with the map selection? Today I just got Elon Station 4 out of 6 times and the other two maps were both neo hokkaido
Also what is up with ai stealing all your kills for match after match when you need to get 2 more to finish the Autocannon 7 kill task?

Game be like: "I see you were top 3 of yesterday's Grandmaster Tournament. Here's allies using autocannons while enemies are all rank 4. You can win those, right?"

It could just be the paranoia talking, but the game seems a little too obvious in ‘managing’ your win-loss rate. I could understand just gradually toughening up the opposition (none of these game developers have the slightest grasp of the concept of ‘gradually’ increasing difficulty); but when you combine that with smartening the opposition while clearly dumbing down your supposed ally teammates to the point you’d swear they’re all working in cahoots against you, sometimes it’s just a little hard to swallow.

The disco mods consider upgrade progression "skill", it wouldn't be farfetched if game developers in general peddle this mindset to excuse p2w

After 3 tournament matches of getting murdered by AI through pinhole gaps in cover, while watching friendly AI shoot at walls, I think it's time to take a break.

After 3 tournament matches of getting murdered by AI through pinhole gaps in cover, while watching friendly AI shoot at walls, I think it's time to take a break. It’s good to take a step back every once in awhile, if for no other reason than to remind ourselves that it’s just a game. We get caught up in trying to wring out every ounce of advancement possible, snd it becomes not only a chore, but a source of frustration when you don’t meet self-made expectations. I fell into that rut many times with War Robots, and I have to keep reminding myself not to repeat that with this game. Two things I’ve been doing when I feel the frustration level starting to climb: 1, just go play a few games like a complete idiot; no caution, just go all out blind offensive, and see what happens, expecting the worst. And 2, just take a day off. The game will still be there tomorrow, just as you left it yesterday. Doing these also helps ward off the temptation to drop more $$$ on special offers as well. Hope this helps a little.

The game itself isn't what kills me. When predatory business practices are sussed out and become apparent, what little enjoyment I get from things like these fade. Quickly. The part where the imbalance is created solely for the monetization strategy, and is completely unrelated to player skill, is where the fun dies for me.
