Granted, the Rayker isn’t quite done but I ran it hard last night and today in solo games, I had zero games where I wasn’t impressed, the game pictures above was 2 bots. 3 kills in the Phantom taking and keeping Center on castle, the rest (11 kills, 8 beacons) was 100% Rayker. That game i took down two leech, and multiple other meta bots. Only one kill was a “gimme” on a Dragoon carnage. Some additional thoughts, it would be stronger with Phase Shift or Radar to counter dragon flight, but I don’t like to use PCs so I stick with basic heal on all bots and generally don’t use the button at all. Glance: This skill is very strong post-buff. It does something like 50k damage if you unload on someone, often I’ll stack 2-3 in a row to simply supplemental damage on a short window. Otherwise I’ll watch for key bots or fights my team is in and chip in with suppression / damage. You get 3 charges and they reload really fast, it’s rare to not have one ready. Leech: These fights really aren’t all too bad, test the anti-control waters with one suppression pulse or energy shotguns, count to 5 and suppress for real. If the leech is tethered to you or someone else, be mindful of the 10 secoond window and suppress them when they’re trying to brawl. Remember if they’re suppressed you are free to unload on them without much repercussion. Tanks: Rayker is extremely strong against Falcon/Invader/Fenrir, you can essentially take them to zero damage output and unload on them. You’re also faster so you have no need to expose yourself to risk when they’re not suppressed. Phantom/Loki: Rayker is low, hits Loki easily in stealth, phantom I play against it like a tank and suppress and chip away at them. Greeks: because of glance range and high damage you can stay between 500-600 and harass them until the shield drops or they make a mistake. I’ve always fared well against Greeks with off-meta and this isn’t much different. Anyway, it’s early in testing and the Raymond isn’t fully maxed yet, but I’ll try to keep sharing my thoughts as I explore it more. Bob

How much of that game was in your Rayker Ⓑⓞⓑ Ⓓⓨⓛⓐⓝ? Like 80% probably, I got 3 kills isn’t the Phantom then pushed to their home to force a respawn there as they were attacking on top. That’s something a lot of people don’t utilize enough, if the enemy is pushing a key beacon, often the correct reaction to the push hard on their opposite side and force them to spawn there instead of lock down your home beacon wish multiple fresh bots.

Funny, I did that exact thing on Carry in my Phantom today too. lol. Right at the start. Everyone going to center. Slipped right by and no one knew what hit them. Also managed 3 Godlikes with the little guy...but enough about the Phantom. This is about the Rayker.

Excellent, thx. Perhaps you could also comment on ideal levels and brawl builds for people who won’t be able Mk2 their gear.
Also, what are your thoughts on:
- Exodus Halo compared to Glory - Viper Shredder

Excellent, thx. Perhaps you could also comment on ideal levels and brawl builds for people who won’t be able Mk2 their gear. Also, what are your thoughts on: - Exodus Halo compared to Glory - Viper Shredder It’s been so long since I’ve played something lower than 12, I guess you’ll just be statistically worse... depending on the enemy might not be the end of the world. My feeling is that anything with a built in ability is a priority 12 minimum. Glance (suppression) is basically another form of healing/resistance. I played Exodus probably the first 20 battles, it’s much stronger against soft targets and 1v1 situations, but I found myself in situations where I had to have more oomph, so I started testing Glory. Depending on your playstyle, map and scenario they’re both viable. I don’t have any vipers leveled up, but I did play Avenger / Shredder for a while and I just didn’t like it. I have a high distaste for avengers due to reload and I almost never fight at range anyway, just not my personality. Guys that are good midrangers would definitely do well in those setups though.

My most effective rayker was dragoon-Marquis, but the damage output was unsatisfying so I will be interested to test the combo. Of course, my rig won’t be level 12 Mk2, it will be level 10, so there is that.

I bought one with the blue skin on offer a few month back. Thank you for the thread, I’ve been considering giving it a whirl. I suspected it could be a creative counter to a few of the new bots. It seems it is. Nice !

Good stuff as always.
IMO, I think the success here is more in the piloting skills vice the bot. Impressive you can make it work at that level.

Rayker is certainly under appreciated but I'd hardly call it a brawler. It works best if you keep your distance.
Maybe OP does go in close, supress reds, get his damage and then scramble to safety but when I used his range. I feel Rayker goes down easy so I want to keep my distance.
I also took plessure in suppressing reds who were attacking my teammates. Sure, I didn't get much damage in but ... teamwork.
But OP enjoys what he does and it works for him. Maybe if I did what he does I'd still have Rayker in my lineup.

Is there any Mk 2 bots with MK2 loadouts which, in skilled hands, does not kick azz?
I don’t think so......

The idea of a spider brawler is appealing: I brawl with my Raijin when I can - twin avengers at close range...damn slow beast, but I love it. Haven’t confronted many Raykers in battle

What range are you trying to utilize with the energy shotguns against non Greeks Any plans for sharpshooter glory next or?

Always as close as possible, some fights start at 500-600, but the goal is always to close the gap and fight close. Since it’s ‘testing phase’ I’m slowly working through skills to try them.

I'm cooking up this little dude in the workshop ATM, kind of looks cool. And the Glance sound effect reminds me of the 80's arcade. Plus I hate my Ares, so that's on the way out, I only have one, to have one. But little spider legs looks so nimble. I'm thinking Shredders and Calamity might be devilishly satisfying. Or Avenger and Sparks, I have those already reasonably leveled.
Does it go up ramps okay?

I've been running Rayker for a few months now. I originally had it in a MR setup (Tempest Molots) but that wasn't helping much when Reds got in my face. In particular I wanted a bot with very little downtime, because I don't waste charges on damage, there is no point in doing that when you can scan the battlefield and corrode virtually anybody from 600M.
So what did I side with? Redeemer Magnums. With minimal downtime, Rayker can support from afar and engage in melee. 75% corrosion to your enemy is effectively 75% DR in your favor. When I tag a Red from afar, he's often confused what the hell just happened because Rayker is so obscure. Then when they foolishly engage, they get trashed because they have no idea what they're dealing with. That constant source of damage is integral because if you're tagging every red on the battlefield they'll soon target and seek you.
You do have to watch for AJs taking off and Bubbles. You can still hit a stealthed Ao Jun taking off with your suppression if you're quick. Shields and Aegis also get in the way. Those aside, Rayker is a little beast.
I also use base healing module, further complementing it's tankiness.
By the far most difficult skill to master is spreading a single suppression over multiple targets. With a sweeping strafe it is easy.
Another thing, suppression reloads every 10 sec. If you tag a reg, he is suppressed for 5 sec and then there is a 5 sec window he can't be effected by it again (blue symbol denotes this). But as soon as he can be tagged again another suppression is ready. I also have a pilot skill on Rayker that upon 50% health I gain an emergency glance.
There are other good weapon sets but Mag Redeemer has complemented Rayker's constant activity well.
It is a beast at clinging to ramps like the one on Yamantau. I thought I was falling but it stuck like a spider.
All my gear is lv8 and I play champ.

RightOnNice, I have all of that at MK2, I’ll give it a shot. This is day 3/4 on Rayker and I’m still super impressed, just now I took down two invaders back to back without even getting to my last stand, suppress, blast, cover, repeat.

I thought that gave a lot more control. Vs Blitz which always fires all of em in, well, a blitz.
