Granted, the Rayker isn’t quite done but I ran it hard last night and today in solo games, I had zero games where I wasn’t impressed, the game pictures above was 2 bots. 3 kills in the Phantom taking and keeping Center on castle, the rest (11 kills, 8 beacons) was 100% Rayker. That game i took down two leech, and multiple other meta bots. Only one kill was a “gimme” on a Dragoon carnage. Some additional thoughts, it would be stronger with Phase Shift or Radar to counter dragon flight, but I don’t like to use PCs so I stick with basic heal on all bots and generally don’t use the button at all. Glance: This skill is very strong post-buff. It does something like 50k damage if you unload on someone, often I’ll stack 2-3 in a row to simply supplemental damage on a short window. Otherwise I’ll watch for key bots or fights my team is in and chip in with suppression / damage. You get 3 charges and they reload really fast, it’s rare to not have one ready. Leech: These fights really aren’t all too bad, test the anti-control waters with one suppression pulse or energy shotguns, count to 5 and suppress for real. If the leech is tethered to you or someone else, be mindful of the 10 secoond window and suppress them when they’re trying to brawl. Remember if they’re suppressed you are free to unload on them without much repercussion. Tanks: Rayker is extremely strong against Falcon/Invader/Fenrir, you can essentially take them to zero damage output and unload on them. You’re also faster so you have no need to expose yourself to risk when they’re not suppressed. Phantom/Loki: Rayker is low, hits Loki easily in stealth, phantom I play against it like a tank and suppress and chip away at them. Greeks: because of glance range and high damage you can stay between 500-600 and harass them until the shield drops or they make a mistake. I’ve always fared well against Greeks with off-meta and this isn’t much different. Anyway, it’s early in testing and the Raymond isn’t fully maxed yet, but I’ll try to keep sharing my thoughts as I explore it more. Bob . it uses two light weapons which is a big no no. Only heavy weapons should be worked for and the only exception would be for healing robots. Heavy weapons are the only thing worth upgrading besides bots. Why? Titans. New class of weapons. Stalker is irrelevant, Ao jun and behemoth are not. Only heavy weapons are worth upgrading in the new meta. Of course the behemoth/fury/Ao jun are worth upgrading as well. I do see a hitch in that Rayker will be useful against titans which is its only saving grace. Keep using it, but I would suggest calamity and sparks if starting from scratch. Trust me and level that specific setup. Otherwise: healers, heavy weapons, and robots that are meta but use only heavy weapons. You’re welcome and pass it forward. You’ll see why in about a year or less. I get what you’re trying to say, but I totally disagree that heavies are the only weapon worth leveling just because Titans are coming. Most of the match is fought with our usual gear, not Titans or against Titans, so why would you say only heavies are worth leveling. That’s nonsense. Especially since I will be cramming my Coronas Halos and Storms up Titan butts, light and medium weapons definitely need upgrading

I foresee not one titan but a hangar full of them. Remember back when you first started the game, you only got one robot and one slot? But you eventually opened up more right? I see that happening but in slow mo, I wouldn’t be surprised if in a year after titans, you could have two titans in your hangar. And so forth. So platinum currency huh? That I don’t like the sound of, sounds like old timey cash registers...

Today in a disadvantaged match (one missing random player) in Shen Zhen map for TDM, towards the end of the game, these 2 fenrirs appeared and kept their focus on me in my Rayker. They did not even try to attack another blue which was just beside me. LOL...took them down one at a time. Believe it or not, even though we were down a player from the start, we still managed to win the game , hands down! Crazy match.

Inspired by this thread, made a Rayker and I love it It is wearing Avenger (11) / punishers (10).
It is the most fun bot. Love the speed, love how it handles, this this was BORN to take cover. If it could *jump* that would be the coolest thing.

Agreed, I'm considering making a second with a Viper Shredder combo.

I just got my first Rayker Ⓑⓞⓑ Ⓓⓨⓛⓐⓝ! It's replacing my Imperial Hades, same weapons for now. I be happy like... The upgrade costs are super enticing! It's like upgrading a Halo. Also, I took it for a spin in custom on Castle and Canyon to go skittering up steep slopes. Gotta take them at an angle, but it's really cool. I got some fun screenshots like Rollo Tomasi did. It's fun! My only question for you. I know it's relatively fast already, but I know your penchant for speed and I'm wondering why you didn't go for the RH skill? I know it only goes up 4 kph. Was that not enough to justify removing one of the other skills you listed?

Side note, I've managed to crawl on the outside of the carrier, with limited success, to the exterior fan blades then battled an Invader, unfortunately I slipped into the spinning blades. I've also watched a Weyland vertically climb the high side of Dreadnought, I'll give that one a go too. Those spindly little legs really hang on. Unfortunately it's tough going against the Leech. Does the Suppression bypass the DR on the Leech and affect the Leeching ability?

I have him in my burgeoning 2nd hanger at lvl 9, halo glory build. I have goon marquess, but the marqs are only lvl 1 and mismatched to boot, we can’t have that! Had a few good runs with it, but I’m nowhere near up the curve enough to even make a decision. I keep reminding myself how much I disliked Falcon when I first played it and now, I get multi-god likes with it on a semi-regular basis. I might try my 2nd hanger a lot more next month and maybe not climb into upper Champions League, be able to try some more lvl 9 stuff. But yeah, this critter can climb. For the world is hollow and I have touched the sky...

Saw you on the field this evening Rollo - I caught the name just as you killed my Rayker; having just botted out, I followed you the rest of the match. Impressive play, sir.
I’m done being the lone non-champ on the field, at least for tonight. See you again!

So close, yet so far... But for how cool the climbing is, it’s mostly wasted for my play style. I’m too fast-paced for this stuff to be useful in battle.

Yeah, it was Moon, you were in Darkwing, I was running a Rayker trying to hold the high beacon on your spawn side, (B/E) between the hump and the passage to C upper; we might have tangled just before that, (beacon defense r serious, I spent several bots doing that) but I hadn’t noticed yet, still staying tough. It was a hard game but a good one

Yeah, for the most part, I think the climbing is a gimmick, but it can be useful in certain situations I suspect. I'm predicting some useful situations on Canyon, but I'm going to have to play with it in-game to see. I'm going to run Shredder/Avenger at first, same as is on the Hades. We shall see, I always need time to adjust to the idiosyncrasies of each bot, but I usually find out how to use them eventually.

In the bargain bin - worth a fiver? Definitely. It isn't expensive to upgrade if you want to try it out. Taking it to max is the same cost as a Halo. It's the best kept secret in War Robots right now.

I'm cooking up this little dude in the workshop ATM, kind of looks cool. And the Glance sound effect reminds me of the 80's arcade. Plus I hate my Ares, so that's on the way out, I only have one, to have one. But little spider legs looks so nimble. I'm thinking Shredders and Calamity might be devilishly satisfying. Or Avenger and Sparks, I have those already reasonably leveled. Does it go up ramps okay? It’s excellent on ledges and ramps, I’ve had no issue with mobility so far as long as you mind the leg spread. (That’s what she said) My favorite thing about the Rayker is how while falling off a ledge can move and change direction like it is flying. Quite nimble in mid air. Had fun with this using Viper or Trident with Stings on the sides.

Was that not enough to justify removing one of the other skills you listed? I had it for a while, but it seems like without something additional to give it another speed boost (mender, hellburner, pursuer etc) it didn't do enough. Dionysus in VOX runs his with adamant road hog, which I would probably take over RH since it's such a significant speed boost when you need it. Feels like Suppressor, Destroyer and Armor Expert are non-negotiable skills, beyond that I went with mechanic (because sometimes I'm chipping in from 500M) and shot grouping only because they felt like they made a bigger difference... but after the first 3 skills I think anything could work depending on playstyle.

Upper Champions League is such a 「dookie」 show right now, that nothing is much fun. Between dwindling player activity, craptastic MM (I just had a 4-slot EL player on my team) and the Phan-Leech invasion, I am completely disincentived to play anything new or the slightest bit fragile. With my regular hanger, Iâm still king of the dip「dookie」s most battles, but the fun ones are getting fewer and farther between...

There is a great spot on Canyon for the Rayker to climb and suppress much of the map, a small outcrop that is multilevelled, the little spider legs enable crawling around and hanging on, dodging most of the blasts, bullets and bolts. Played a TDM and lasted with only 6 seconds till the end of the battle with Rayker, not huge damage stats but scored 1.45mill damage 4 kills, BUT enraged the Reds much of the game, Suppression, LD. Then had very angry T-Falcon strut across the canyon floor, thank F some dude in a Inky flamed the 「fluffernutter」 out of him. Fun, at last. #Rayker4ever

I just became the 「female dog」 everyone really wants to kill. Map.... Yama. I climbed up on the covered walkway and harassed, locked down, suppressed and general got under everyone's skin. Slowly creeping forward and pulling back, oh it brought a smile to my face. #loveyoucreepylittlespiderdude

Yeah, still not brawling w it, but going Goon/Marq build. VERY effective at neutalizing Ao Mings, in addition to all the other Supression goodness. I don’t run Lockdown Ammo, but may have to try shredders. And w Ad RH, it can skurry in and out of range nicely.

For large maps, anti-titan Rayker: You want Destroyer skill, and to take full advantage of the Glance ability (600m), so something like Flux Gekko is not optimal for Rayker. Tempest Molot is too underpowered and requires sustained hits. So if you want something that can hit beyond the rocket and gun titan builds, and that can contest a plasma Ao Ming by dancing the strike threshold quickly, the build pictured here is excellent!!

Nice. Yes, I like Viper Shredder a lot; more than this present build. I prefer to be able to brawl as well. The plasma Rayker here has a function, but it is not as fun to me as getting closer. There are several close quarters builds that work well; Viper Shredder is a lot of fun
