I need/want 3 hangars that I can select during the countdown phase of MM. 1. A beacon capping hangar with light bots - 2-3 Tri-Mag Geps, 1-2 Thunder Schutze, and 1 Taran or Orkan Cossack. Maybe the occasional Stalker 2. A medium hangar comprised of various combos of medium bots - Patton, Boa, Golem, Rog, Carnage. Maybe a Galahad or Fujin in the future. No Vits, dont like the setup. Knifing, support, and medium range roles. 3. A heavy hangar with combos of Rhino, Leo, Griffin, and Natasha. No Rajin or Lancelot - wont say never, but dont care for the hardpoint setup. Duties Mid-range with some longer range capacity, and close combat, but at greater lengths than with mediums. I think I have missed something..... I do have three hangers like you a light, med and mixed since I don't have any heavys yet.. but when I start the countdown phase I only have the three bots in my main hanger?? how do you switch hangers?? Unfortunately, disassemble, remove, add, assemble, repeat,...............

Thats what I thought, Hanger types are fluid,, to be built and rebult as you see fit or how you want to play.

Everyone's been coming from the perspective of 'no wrong answer', and I completely agree. I NEED 5 slots, (even though I only have 4) because my play style is based on risk/reward - get the beacon vs. save my bacon. Stealing an unguarded home beacon is easy enough, but it's escaping that gets you killed; I'm okay with dying because my team is *that* much closer to winning. Dying is pretty much routine for my whole-game-capping play style, so I use up all four of my slots pretty consistently.
Of course, I don't tend to use all 3 of my Cossacks, I usually get 5 beacons with my first (Taran) Cossack (3 en route, 1 home recapture, 1 outfield recapture), 2 recaptures with my second (Punisher) Cossack, then I heap into the melee with my piñata Patton that I'm oh so proud of. My third (Tulu) Cossack is there as a backup; I sometimes replace it with a second piñata Patton.
I believe the best defense is an overwhelming offense, thus I sacrifice to keep all the beacons blue, regardless of how little damage I actually end up doing to the enemy: the real damage I do is the damage to the domination bar.

No, that's not what "everyone's" been saying. Pete and I both clearly described how anything less than the maximum removes on-field tactical and strategic choices, regardless of your play style. (If you think there aren't times when you might intentionally feed your arty bot to the other team then you're not thinking very hard.) There's no *requirement* to have all five slots, but you do NEED them if you want to have every opportunity available to yourself on-field. You don't want those choices? No problem, and no judgement. Just be honest with yourself that you're not serious about achieving top-level play.
