I run a mostly light/medium hanger but have recently found that the side who wins seems to be the side who fields the most heavies (I'm looking at you, Leo and rhino spammers). I see some britbots in play, but mostly just Leos as far as the eye can see. Am I just a liability to my teammates with my medium hanger?

Until you lose enough to get placed against weak opposition, yes.
That's one of the most widespread complaints against the new MM system. In my games I cringe when I see a medium bot on my team that isn't Galahad or Carnage, or even worse a light (that isn't Stalker, Gareth or aphid Gepard).
You see a Cossack on your team, you *know* you're playing down a man.

Some britbots? Almost all I ever see. Often players with 5.

Out of the light robots I started playing my stalker again, which can be interesting. Gareth is also a favorite these days. As far as medium I like Galahad and I'm considering a Gl Patton. Anyone find Rogatka still good? I have one laying around collecting dust in wait for future upgrades.

I've been doing nothing but beacon capping, which has really hurt my average damage score. It's gotten to the point where I'm being placed into games with newbie players with 1/3 Cossacks and Destriers. I drop in with an 8/10 Ancilot and immediately at least 2 or 3 of them follow me around the entire game lol... Enemies show up and just fall over on sight.

Lights and mediums have thier uses and roles in the current MM. You just need to use them with care. They won't be able to just walk out and win.
Look at the Patton with Pinatas for example. It will not be winning any brawls against heavies in an even fight. But it shouldn't get caught in that situation anyways. Rather, the Patton should hold back. Let your teammates weaken an enemy to about 1/2 health. Then match the Patton in to quickly finish off the bot. Then drop back to cover while reloading. Obviously this does not work well out in the open with no cover.
A gallahad will work better if you can keep all enemies in front, so walking down a side of the map can be good where you can keep your shield to the enemy. Walking down the middle, you'll get flanked and die.
So really, it's more about knowing bots and using their strengths.
As for the Corssack haters... I'll be at the beacon waiting for you while your stalker is still running around a corner. And your stealth... Funny how my Orkan is at just the right level to hit you ar close range even when your stealth is on.

Unfortunately yes, the mediums are a song of past at the moment. Get a griffin and/or leos. A thunder/taran boa can be usefull though as a medium... as it deals a ton of damage. If you put orkan on this boa then its great also

Anyone find Rogatka still good? I have one laying around collecting dust in wait for future upgrades. I just got Rog from chest and ran it couple of games with 2x orkans. I find it underperforming just because of its health. Rog needs more hp or a small energy shield like carnage. Otherwise it is just a free target for enemy.

Plays pole dancing with a building, comes out only when in stealth mode, and you'll have a hard time hitting it that way. I got swarmed by 2-3 Stalkers in some recent games. Makes you wonder what your teammates are up to, as they see 3 red dots dancing around a blue close to a beacon, doing nothing - guess they sit on their hands, thumbs pointing up. Not really a problem if you are squading with decent teammates. Big problem if 4 or 5 blue guys are campers, which seems to happen a lot to me.

I run nothing but light bots (3 Cossacks and 1 Gep) and I'm consistently in the top 3. Anyone that says they're "down a man" when they see a Cossack on their team is just being silly. I routinely hammer heavies of all makes and models while securing beacons for the win.
If you're unsuccessful with the light bots you probably need to rethink your strategy a bit. You can't just wade out into the middle of a firestorm and expect to live. You flank and kill.

In the area of lights: mainly Gareths and Stalkers and Aphid Geps
In the area of mediums: mainly Galahads, Boas, and Pattons
They're still out there but the mainstream used lights and mediums have shifted with the new MM
Cossacks, schutzes, vityaz, golem, and rogs are rarely seen these days, at least in the matches I've been a part of. At least 80-90% heavies...

Think I've only seen 3 Fujins in the last month or so and about 1-3 Pattons in every PP or DC match. Plus only talking about sightings, strengths and weaknesses is a whole other discussion

You can run them, it will take a bit for MM to catch up with your hangar change.

Fujin is a casuality of the new MM, IMO. Griffin has more firepower as two light weapons are usually better than the third medium, and Jump capability is more valuable than the Fujin Ancile, as you can both ambush and get out of trouble. Griffs have a larger frame and are a bit easier to hit, but they make up for it with extra HP. And of course 1.7m AG is easier to get than 13k WSP, at least for new players. Spiral/Hydra Griff has more DPS than Hydra Fujin, Pinata/Orkan Griff is better than Orkan Fujin, same goes for plasma.

I didn't think it was possible when the mission popped up on my screen. "Kill 2 robots with a light robot in a single battle." for 40 Au. No way in hell, I thought to myself. But I like a challenge. I already had a L6 Cossack with an L7 Orkan, but I switched it up with an L8 Orkan, then ditched a Golem and trotted out ye olde L6/9 TM-Gepard from my gold farming days. Off to fight the impossible battle... My first attempt was a match in Springfield. We dropped in the cargo zone. A Griffin and I played leap-frog to the home beacon. I set my sights on the nearest beacon across the ravine, only to spot to incoming enemies moving fast to the same target. I quickly changed course, dived under the walkway bridge, and ran like hell up the hill to the corner beacon nestled next to the dam. As enemy mid-range fire started coming in, I desperately jumped onto the platform with the beacon and ran around the corner of the nearby wall, losing about a 3rd of my HP in the process. By this time, mid-range ordinance from my own team started spattering the area with explosions. In front of me, a Stalker cloaked, while coming up the far side, a MRS Fujin was slowly bringing me into line of sight. I scurried from cover to fall into the corner at the end of the dam's walkway, foiling the Fujin, as the Stalker in front of me danced through missile fire just around my new corner cover. His cloak dropped as he started coming around for me, revealing that about 2/3rds of his HP was left, so I quickly hit lock-on and mashed the fire button before he even came into my line of sight. Poor fool walked into a stream of rockets and disintegrated before he got more than 3 shots off. Turning quickly to check on the nearby Fujin, I saw that it was in Sentry mode less than 50 meters on the platform above me with about 1/2 of it's HP left. Jump and mash, death by rockets! And my enemy's shield puffs like so much tissue and he dies in seconds. As I land, I see a sliver of my own HP left, and then a rain of missiles obliterates me. As the death cam swings around, I see a blue beacon that never flipped, and no enemies within 500 meters of the flag. 2 kills, 2 beacon captures. Never turn your back on an insane Cossack pilot. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. We lost the match. I blame that on idiot teammates I ended up placing 3rd in damage with 4 captures on the losing team. The TMGep was my biggest liability. I'm upgrading my Cossack.

Aphid Destrier, Zeus Schlutze, Ecu Cossack, Aphid Thunder / Ancile Vityaz, Pin / Aphid Patton, Trident Tulumbas Pin Golem, Thunder Taran / Orkan Boa are some AU mediocre builds that might work.
