Big thanks to forum member truechill for the great video idea. After recently requesting advice on being effective with a dedicated knife fighting hanger on larger maps like Canyon and Yamatu, I replicated his 4 slot hanger at 12/12 on the test server and put this tutorial together. This is the first in a series of videos I plan to continue. War College will focus on more specific and advanced combat strategies than the Boot Camp or New Pilot tutorial series.

Can you tell me what a flanker is? I mean where does it fit in between the classification on MR, LR, SR?

Can you tell me what a flanker is? I mean where does it fit in between the classification on MR, LR, SR? "Flanking" or "Flanker" would refer to using a fast robot to rush around the side (flank) of the enemy front line and force them to fight on two fronts. You can flank at any range but you will typically use a fast heavy hitter. Some good flankers are Galahad, Gary, Rhino, Carnage & Griffin.

Does it work as a direct upper cut on taller bots? Couldn't help but notice how tall the fury is in comparison, looks like they would catch it right under the chin for a knock out blow!

I haven't had much success with that, but some say you can. I think it used to work better in previous builds. As far as I could tell you need to rely on the splash damage when the rounds hit cover of some kind or a physical shield. I think I may have scored a small hit or 2 by burying a side Noricum inside the target but a full dose of splash at the right time can take out a lot of HP. I didn't consider before but it actually knocks out an Ancile really well, there is one part in the video in Yamatu where at center beacon there is a Carnage with dual Anciles and I knocked his bar down to half...not bad. And to be honest I think the 90ish K score is better than I have gotten trying them the regular way That being said...shenanigans only! Don't try this at home kids.... or at least not in my League squad ok

I love the double pincer maneuver the 3 of pull off with brit bots, once coming out of our spawn @ 3:45, through the middle and again when we get into theirs.... you'd think we rehearsed it lol.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for the positive feedback. Would like to ask if you could please let me know how you feel about the sped up footage? It allows me to show the viewer more before they get bored. What do you think? Stick with sped up footage? Use normal speed? Sped up but not so fast (Latest Rog/noricum videos were pretty fast)?
Also if you could way in on what you think is a good video length that would be great... always trying to improve!

Really prefer slightly sped up footage, just maybe not so quick. From memory it seems like you run about 3 to 1 speed - maybe 2:1 would allow viewer to take in what is happening while also not make them fall asleep watching a lancelot trudge to center on yam

A full match @ 2:1 is still 5 min not counting the gratuitous opening I've tried to look at what the established Youtuber's (Adrian, Phoenix etc.) and a lot of them have 15-20 min long videos with full matches and a lot of time sitting in their hanger talking. Not sure where the sweet spot on video length is yet. I have been experimenting with lots of different formats and am having a hard time deciding whether to go long or short, full match or montage, commentary or no, etc. Soon I will likely review what I have been doing (essentially just putting the puck on the net) and maybe ask for opinions on the best formats for the different types of videos moving forward.

For me it's about being entertained or informed. With test server video, I like in-game narration at normal speed. I'm watching as much for the impressions of the pilot as the footage. With Lloyd's stuff I like regular speed because he's using the time to explain or suggest. Adrian's stuff I frequently turn off within a couple minutes of when he stops narrating - already found out what he thinks, picked up on what I want from the vid (and frequently I've jumped to his timestamps to see 45 sec of what he's reviewing) and now just watching the match is too slow. Stew's stuff keeps me entertained and so does the Center Beacon's stuff because it's fully narrated, even if it is stream of consciousness narration. Any of the unnarrated vids I see out there are unwatchable for me at regular speed - just don't want to watch 10 minutes of one guy's perspective of the battlefield. At double speed I'm much more interested and don't get bored by the 3 minute mark because by then the match is heading into crunch time. I'm probably not representative of War Robots players in general though - probably skew a good bit older than the average player.

I will likely use a different format for the test server review videos than for say squad or request videos. It will just be a matter of gathering input and deciding what works best for each type

This request has forced me to get a feel for the nuances of a bot I had previously passed over and I thank you for that. The Patton is definitely unique in War Robots and if you haven't, I suggest you spend some time in one

Not that I'm convinced a cossack is viable at higher tiers, but I will say I loved how you worked that Dash over at about the 6:15 mark. And really like the 2:1 speed.
