I have to ask. How is Pixonic going to determine which "league" a player should be in? Based on what exactly? Because there is a FaceBook page dedicated to the buying and selling of profiles. That means player abilities may not match their hangers. Any player can upgrade beyond their abilities. I myself disregard those stupid rankings and play whatever I decide to play with in any given playing session, making my damage stats fluctuate wildly and my ranking to boot. So, again I ask. Exactly how is Pixonic going to determine a player's "league"? And do so without screwing over some profile purchaser, mediocre player, or players that just don't give a sh*t about their stupid "leagues"? I feel like a mosquito at a nudist colony answering the question. You could rate a hanger Vs avergae DMG over 50-100 games. If a hanger has level 10.weapons/bot and has an average DMG of > 200k. Gone. Legitimate or.not, we don't want them in the game. You can do the same thing but against the league they are in. You could also track how many leagues they have risen and fallen through over the last 6 months. You could create a.trigger if someone drops 2.leagues from qualifing, add a counter. Hit 3 your gone. I'm sure I could come up with a few.more idni saw the Database and what's tracked Ok, this I've got to do.... ? Because if you think for even a second that Pixonic is going to kick players just for being mediocre, or for buying huge upgrades, or buying someone else's old profile, or for running up and down their stupid "league" tiers, then you're delusional. They purposely built a tanking algorithm into the game. Deliberately. A system that is so easily exploitable as to be ludicrous. And in all these many, many months, after implementation of this tankers paradise they have flatly refused to do anything about it beyond mouthing a few paltry platitudes to shut players up. Of course they deny any such thing, but d*mn, it's as obvious as a t*rd in a punchbowl. Do you really expect anything more than the same ol', same ol' from them? As I stated, I yo-yo constantly. Why? Because I'm not going to be dictated to by anyone on how to play the game or on what robots I should be using. I run what I want and I play the game my way. And Pixonic has concurred on that sentiment many times. They do not want players feeling limited in what they can play with, or how each player decides to play the game. On that I am in total agreement with them on, no matter how much I disagree with other aspects of their dealings with player/customers. Going by what you've just suggested you'd have players booted just for taking too long doing their daily tasks. "Move it, granny, or I'll run you down with my shopping cart!"

While I agree with you, it actually may be worse. My preliminary data suggests that in this incarnation of MM (I suspect there are frequent un published changes) we have something "interesting" going on. When I have enough data to either draw a conclusion or realize I NEED MORE I will be sure to post here.

zer00eyz50/50 win/loss. -22 points for every loss that a players comes in last scoring. Only +3 for every win where a player also comes in last in scoring. That's averaging slightly better than 7 to 1 if a player can score lowest every time. But let's say they only get third lowest on average. Still around 4 to 1 odds of dropping rank in a 50/50 win/loss scenario. Since I'm already in the LQ with one of my profiles, and Pixonic has flatly refused to honor their word and let me out after doing what they told me to do, I've done a little experimenting of late. Indeed, it's so easy to tank ranks as to be laughable. I pushed into Gold and then stopped scoring more than just a few thousand damage for a while. Took me just a couple of hundred matches to dip into Bronze once again. And it took that long because of all the leaver/skippers in the LQ. I actually scored top numbers on my side in some matches only because there were only two of us or just myself in some matches after all those players had left, so it messed up my experiment a little bit. Couldn't get an accurate fix on total numbers. But it was enough to get the idea. For that matter the profiles I run outside the LQ jump up and down according to what I run in my hangers. Since damage is the primary focus of ranking it only stands to reason. Less damage inflicted means more chances of losing points if you don't hit the top two spots in losses. That's why my Steel Cat profile stays in mid-Silver to low-Gold despite a better than 50/50 win/loss. It's an all Destrier hanger that does less than half the damage of a med-heavy hanger on average. Around 220k or so.

Whether they would or not is something we can debate. Ultimately Pixonic.could release a set of rules and enforce them as I mentioned above. As it sits there.are many players.who delibreritly tank and ultimately hurt the game/players.experiences in the process. This isn't in Pixonic best interest. Also brings up another debatable topic. The very fact that Pixonic has implemented the Custom Game mode argues that what you're proposing will never happen. Players are being encouraged to run whatever they want to in the game and not just in Custom Game mode. Those wacky hanger build contests they've run just recently just screams "play the game the way you want to play it". Because by endorsing those silly contests Pixonic was actually encouraging players to deliberately screw over teammates and opponents alike in untold numbers of matches. How many had their rankings affected by it do you think? As if Pixonic gave a sh*t for real. Pixonic endorses and encourages that kind of sh*t, even handing out top prizes for doing so, and you expect those hypocrites to actually fix something they intended to let occur all along? Laughable.

Simple way to get rid of tankers. Remove the leave battle button. Problem solved. Doesn't take rocket science to figure that one out "Oops, I "accidently" opened another window and then closed the game." Takes me just a tiny bit longer to restart as is does to hit the 'Leave' button and start another match. Next suggestion? It wouldn't be hard to make it so, that a player stays in the battle until it is over. If they restart the app, they go back to the same battle. This would also solve the server disconnect and even app crash issues, as player would always reconnect to the same battle. Then it would even be possible to forbid player from leaving even if they mech out, though that would probably be a bad idea... Maybe this would activate when a player is the first to mech out, with "You were the first to be eliminated, now you must watch and learn!" text. That'd really put a damper on tanking, make it very slow.

hyderierEliminating tanking is actually possible. You first eliminate the "leagues". But Pixonic will not entertain that idea even though it is the prime reason tanking is possible. More likely that's exactly why Pixonic won't do so. They intentionally designed it as it is. Why would they want to actually fix it? Statistical ranking makes tanking a useless endevour because it becomes pointless. Tanking in a statistical ranking system just makes you look like a really sh*tty player ability wise. Not that much different really than just being a sh*tty gamer, except that you have Pixonic's silent blessing. Hanger based matching eliminates any real clubbing if it is done properly. But then, how would Pixonic create all of that player frustration to get people to spend money on the game trying to equalize their equipment to that of those awesome tankers Pixonic endorses? I run several profiles, but I also do so on 5 different devices. I also have three different wi-fi connections available to me. To get around what you propose I would just open the game on another device using another wi-fi hookup.

Also brings up another debatable topic. If Pixonic cared, why did they implement leagues? Was.it to deal.with the seal.clubbers or did they have a more monetary reason? I'll take a stab at this: the old MM created a P2W bracket in high bronze / low silver. The price tag for winning was relatively modest: a full Meg/Gep hanger could be had for maybe $100 and very little time commitment. From Pixonic's perspective, the downside is modest cash up-side, and new players would be faced with cheetah-mounted plasma death. In the brave new world, the P2W bracket is at the top of the league rather than the bottom. New players are more insulated from the effects, and the price-tag for P2W is much, much higher. Both wins for Pixonic. As HEATHEN HERETIC noted, the current MM and the league point distribution scheme is made to enable tanking and provide a happy hunting ground for Masters & Champs. IMHO Dealing with seal clubbers wasn't the objective, moving the P2W bracket to a more lucrative space and insulating new players from seal clubbers (so as not to scare them away) was.

Gaming the system is embarrassingly easy, and you don't even need to tank to do it. I run an all beacon-capper hanger (three stalkers, a rogatka, and a carnage I might eventually replace with a rhino). Result? With the 50% win/loss ratio pix seems to want to enforce, I end up losing far more points than I gain, even when playing my best, PLUS I get that nice beacon-gold.

To get around what you propose I would just open the game on another device using another wi-fi hookup. Yeah, good hangar based MM would be possible of course. But I also think player skill should be taken into account. Which would actually be easy too, just first find players with same hangar power (and it would have to be much better formula than the crap that enabled Gep clubbing), then divide these 12 players into teams so that teams have ~equal ELO rating. Or maybe the other way around, first gather players with same rating, then divide them into teams so that teams have ~equal hangar power. Or better yet, run both strategies in parallel, and pick the one which produces full teams first, to reduce MM delay. So we would still sometimes have Champs and Recruits in same battles, which would still be equal between teams. Because I think it's good that new players get to see Champs in action sometimes, just rarely enough so it remains awesome. Following a blue Ancilot in a Destrier is a very... interesting experience, and a good one. As to several profiles and my suggestion to prevent tanking by making it mandatory to force first mech-out to watch the battle through, just getting back to that battle if they tried to start a new one. If you had several accounts, you could tank them in parallel, but you still couldn't tank one faster by playing it from several devices. So if average match time increases from... 2 minutes to 6 minutes, it takes 3 times longer to lose same amount of league points as now. I think that would make tanking even less fun than it is now. And you can actually do the multiple account thing from 1 device easily, as it's easy to switch accounts (though it would get tedious).

I was just saying that I have five devices on which I play the game. Only one has all of my profiles available to them but the other four have all of my Google Play profiles available to them. Starting the game from menu takes approximately 30 seconds. Switching between profiles only takes me 10-15 seconds. Menu, log out, log in, pick profile and go.

No heathen cat I'm not a programmer. I just play a game. If you in all your great computer genius have time to wait 10 minutes of your day to lose 22 points then more power to you. Most of us that play have a life beyond the game though and it's very easy to dump five battles during our 10 minute break from work and end up in a lower easier league. The one percent that is you without a life and willing to grind out 12 hours of tanking to punish lower ranking peeps I guess there is no answer. But to the rest of us average joes there is a very simple fix. 10 minutes is nothing to you in your mom's basement but to us average working people waiting 10 minutes for a battle to end is our entire break. The dump option means we can dump how many battles during that 10 minutes? Stop thinking like a basement dwelling computer geek and start thinking like 90 percent of the people that play this game

I prefer spending it in my den because my "basement" is only 8x6 and has no air conditioning. Actually it's a tornado shelter. My computer skills are a bit rusty, but I can still mod and do basic programming. I do not endorse tanking, and never have, as anyone in these forums who's read my posts can attest. 90% of the players are disinterested, bored millenials with the attention span of a crack monkey. Fickle beasts that come and go. You and I are in the 10% that give a sh*t. And I already know that I'm a genius. You're welcome.

Two things. If a person has to restart the game every time to start a new battle then not really worth it to leave time wise. Another thing pix could do is make it so you can't start another battle before the last is through. Sure you technically could still tank down but it would take for ever. I'm talking about people that tank and leave battles. OP bots are just there. Yeah match making is screwed. Last month it was gekkos and trebs. This month it's dash bots. Next time it will be some new buff or debuff or new bot. Just seems like an easy fix to me and the way pix has it set up with an actual leave battle button, the ability to start another battle while your bots are engaged in one already and the messed up match making system seems to me like they encourage it. Definitely enable it. Restart delays?? You've obviously never programmed a game, or anything else for that matter. I can almost gaurantee that that won't be happening. Not unless they're ready to lose even more revenue, and I just don't see that as a happy option for them. The true tankers don't leave/skip matches. They lose rankings very easily just by getting the fewest points in every match. Tankers that leave matches are penalized for it by being placed in the LQ. Those are people who are just inept, or morons, because Pixonic made it extremely easy to tank their little program. Because one -22 loss beats a seven +3 wins every time. That's why it's titled the Leavers Queue. It is most certainly not the Leavers & Tankers Queue by design. Believe someone with months and months of experience in the LQ. The high ranking players in there are not tanking their rankings in the least. Far from it. They're just continuing to leave/skip the maps that they do not wish to play on is all. And Pixonic has generously provided them plenty of chum to eat up and destroy while they do it. And from what I hear Pixonic claims that they are going to nerf the rewards in the LQ. Like that will fix the "problem" of leaving/skipping matches. The only way that leaving/skipping gets "fixed" is if Pixonic allows players to choose what maps that they wish to play on. Why should anyone give a sh*t what map someone does or does not want to play on anyway? I'd probably never see the Moon or Yama maps again if I could decide for myself. One's just a brawling map and the other doesn't afford enough cover on it. I am in the LQ for that exact reason. I did a video on how long it takes to start Domination vs Becon Rush. I started 20 matches in Domination.. vs Becon Rush.. it ended up putting me in the LQ. I wanted to use AZ Screen Recorder and post a support ticked to pixonic showing that we cant play Domination anymore........ it simply is broken. * Just like tonight, I cant play at all, the servers seem to be down. You would be amazed on how many top end clan members are in the LQ. Another reason players are in it, because match making is one sided.. so LQ still allows you a reward of win... thus game is still fun.

You can ask nicely for a turn and when the other child is done you will get a turn. You cannot take it from them right now just because you want it. If you can't play nicely with the other children you need to go somewhere else to be alone until you've called down. It's not ok to sit here and throw a fit trying to ruin everyone else's game simply because you don't want to play. It's not ok to act like that when you're an adult, and I'm telling you this so you can have friends when you're older"

You're a masochist to me, but then "fun" can be subjective. As for Domination(wow, that masochist label is starting to schtick?), it's not broken or taken away. It's simply a matter of available players. I'm not that good at BR, in fact I suck at it. Might be because I was soloing all of the time while in there or just because I suck at it, I don't know. But my point is that while I was in there I only wanted to play Domination. About a week after BR hit the game I had the same experience you were/are having where the matches in Dom dried up as players went over to the BR mode. Depending on the time of day in my server area(N.America) it would take anywhere from 25 minutes to an hour to get a match. If it ever went to an hour it would kick me and tell me that my game was "being played on a different device" which I knew was bullsh*t even though I do switch devices often to play the game. But Domination is still available in the LQ if you really want to wait for it, or know when there are players on in your server areas. I just refused to wait that long, so there went any fun I might have found in the LQ. So instead of trying even a little bit at times as I did in Dom, I switched over to an all Zenit/Noricum bot hanger and sat at home in BR. The fun I then achieved from the game was bombing the hell out of enemy spawn campers and new spawns in other beacon areas. I suppose that makes me a masochist as well.??

hyderier Eliminating tanking is actually possible. I love this dude right here. Speak nothing but the truth my man. Wasn't this post about protesting against the ridiculous pricing that Pixonic made? It has turned into another rant about people tanking and banning people...all these people complaining need to get good and be able to perform well while being outnumbered. The way I think about it is, the more people that tank, the more bots I have to myself to kill, and if my teammates don't tank, then lets get this win. And, if you curious, I'm in champion league with the following hangar: plasmahad (block snipers and zeus users) rdb griffen (for wearing down enemy bots before they get close and supporting teammates) db griffen (for the satisfying feeling of killing a bot with one round) thunder carnage (great for when your base is overrun - also in close range, I kill ancilots in 1v1 with lvl.11 thunders) noricum patton (for the snipers) Also, I haven't spent a penny on this game and you don't need to in order to be good and have fun in the game. Just do events and don't boost upgrades and save the au for something you need. Lastly, thank you Pixonic for giving me 3750 au for returning back into the game after being inactive for a few months

I feel like the discussion on this post has occured due to people realizing that Arthur Mostovoy, the Lead Programmer for Walking War Robots, has Autism. No I dont mean he's socially inept, he is happily married to his husband Vladimir Putin. I mean he needs a bike helmet, water wings, a canoe, and a Navy Seals Special Ops team to be considered semi-capable of drinking a teaspoon of soup a day. I say this because at least 60% of competitibe MMOs (TF2, Overwatch, CS:GO, and many others) have Tankers. Of these almost half of them have found a simple solution while the rest like the Pay 2 Winners buying crapto compensate for Tankers. Can we initiate a penalty system for tankers? Create a few short lines of code that look for Tanking behaviors and in turn ban players for a week or two? Maybe if Premium players tank they can have their time revoked? It, it can't be that hard if Mostovoy is in charge, can it? Mkay lemme spell this out for you INSTILL PENALTIES TO TANKERS GOD DAMN IT. for the record: I ain't liking this either.

In other words --> tankers league Besides, a lot of tankers spend money on the game so if they prevent them from playing then they would lose a lot of their customer base. And, how will you recognize tanking behavior? What if a guy spawns and his entire team sucks 「bum-bum」 or his team keeps leaving? Must the poor guy waste time and stay and get his 「bum-bum」 handed to him so that he won't be banned? I'm a CS student and I know being able to come up with an algorithm that won't accidentally get innocent players from getting banned is no easy task and if they can, it would be a huge chunk of code because there are many cases to cover as to how the system will recognize if player's are intentionally tanking. It's not as easy as: function banTanker() if (playerTank = 10) banPlayer(1 week); else tankCount++;

ihatemostovoy Your characterization of autistics is discriminatory and personally offensive since I too am autistic. Autistics are not 「fluffernutter」tarded like the person/s who supposedly "accidently" created the tanking algorithm and the pay-to-win system of War Robots. vin5240 . Yeah, they place the tankers in with tankers alright, but they are keeping them in the Normal Queue, which I have designated the Tankers Queue. As a LQ veteran I can tell you definitively that there are no dedicated tankers in the LQ. Just the inept who can't figure out Pixonic's method for them to do so. Do you do a lot of programming? If so...how easy would it be to create a hanger based match maker? My own formula destroys the leagues and eliminates clubbing by hanger averaging. But only on paper. My programming skills consists of manipulating existing programs, or modding, not from the floor up creation. The short of it is basing the MM on the number of hanger slots, the average sizes of all in hanger equipment and the average upgrades of said equipment in any one player's hanger(excluding inventory) and matching it to that of other players to get very closely matched pairings for gaming purposes. war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/9323/match-maker-fix

It all depends on how they decide to implement it. For example, they could choose to take all the bot and weapon levels and average them out and take that number and match players with a similar hangar average. Perhaps 2-4 levels for fluctuation because being matched with the same level of power may get boring. Part of the fun is being able to kill someone that's weaker than you fast and team up against those that are stronger than you. Keeps the game interesting rather than seeing player's cancelling each other out because they have the same firepower. I'm a CS student with background in java,c/c++, python, html, and css. But yeah if they do hangar based it wouldn't be too difficult since right now they are just matching players by similar trophy count I think. They could take each payer's equipment and do the match making like that if they wanted. I think a good solution would be when a player gets placed into tankers league, they need to win lets say...50 battles before they can get out and there will be a reduced or no amount of au for the teams. Then, it won't be worth their time to tank battles because they need to win 50 battles just to get out and be able to make au again. I used to tank quite a bit to be honest when I first started playing because I really wanted better weapons. I was at around 100 trophies and seal clubbed up to 1200 and dropped and repeat. 46 consecutive wins with 10-15 kills per game. Can't be bothered with that anymore. I just do the daily tasks for au and Pixonic also gave me 3750 au for returning back to the game after a few months of inactivity. Got 5 slots, a decent hangar, and even though I'm far from maxed, I'm pretty content right now with how I'm doing in champion league. No need to tank.
