Why Can't We Get A 6th ROBOT Slot Instead Of Five?!?!?!?!

If they implement 6, I'd be for it if it were virtual, i.e., you can only use 5 but have access to 6. That would actually be pretty sweet. I'd even pay 10k gold for it.

seems to be useless, but 10 slots means you can be more equipped for battle. 1 beacon runner, 1 sniper, 2 midrange support, 2 hit and run bots, and 4 brawlers. you can use 5 of those in one battle, but you can be more equipped for different battles.

But randomness is what makes this game fun. And why do you all want to use specific bots for specific maps? Each bot should be suitable for each map.

So a sniper is as good on yamentau as on the moon or any other close range map?

6 would be awesome.

another thought would be to have a staging room before each battle, where you find out which map you're going to fight on, and they let you choose your 5 bots.

Just to expand on the idea of a hanger based on tonnage, here's a sample breakdown:
200 ton limit
20 tons - Cossack, Destrier, Schutze
30 tons - Stalker, Gareth, Gep, Jesse
40 tons - Patton, Vityaz, Golem, Boa
50 tons - Galahad, Rog, Carnage, Doc, Fujin
60 tons - Griffin, Natasha, Leo, Rhino
70 tons - Lance, Fury, Butch, Raijin

You can pick any combination of bots up to a limit of 200 tons. That means you could field 10 Cossacks to bounce around to cause havoc, a pair of Lances & a Rhino if you wanted to go really heavy, three Griffs & a Cossack for mobility, 4 Galahads for versatility, etc... Pix would probably need to re-balance the HP and speed a bit to keep some combinations from being OP, but this would make many light and medium bots relevant again in higher tiers, and would certainly make for more entertaining fights.

Edit:  The more I think about this the more I like it.  Tonnage limit would really need to be about 250 tons to get a decent hanger, and I think you would want to limit total slots to 10.  A 250 ton limit could give you quite a few possibilities:

2 Griffs, 2 Rogs, and a Gareth for mobility
3 Lances and a Boa for tanky toughness
8 Stalker/Gareth/Geps for ultimate chaos

I think this would help to fight the trend towards a limited meta.

Yeah this has been tossed around before and I also would be in favor of it. 10K gold is steep for it though. If it was a true 6th hot slot then 10K, but a ready slot I'd pay 5k for.

This...is actually a really good idea. Well thought out. Not sure if pix wants to restrict the amount of 5000gold bots that are bought for each hangar though.

I vote 3 bots and to shorten games. Make the game more casual. This is a cell phone game! This is how you draw in new blood.

I also think they need alternate game modes. Like a nonstop battlefield where new players join to fill a void.

Or 3 bot mode. Or 1 bot deathmatch mode.

I'd worry that 6 slots would make mech-out too difficult, but I don't hate the idea.

Having additional slots but only getting to use 5 per battle sounds great. Would make it a lot easier to use bots that only excel on open-space maps without it hurting you when you go to the moon. Would also make it easier to do quests without having to change up your whole hangar as much using the terrible user interface. This seems like an easy solution to allow for greater map specialization and more diverse hangars.

For someone who's only had a little experience with the beginning stages, you sure hold a lot of opinions on how people should play the game.
To put it bluntly, it seems to me you just don't know what you're talking about.
