This will be interesting. The exploiters/people on the forums will know about this and get out of LQ now.
What about the people who don't check FB or Forums, that happen to skip maps they don't like. They don't know what LQ is or even that they're in it, and have been thrown in chaotic matches already. Now there will be a penalty added.
Disclaimer: I'm all for the penalty, LQ should have never been a place people can earn silver or gold. It should be strictly that, a punishment. But please, Pixonic, inform the players in game about it rather than just the diehard ones that check outside sources for information. If not, this is going to screw a lot of honest players.

Gold has been like this since the last patch. Maybe 40% of my games start out 6-6, and maybe half of those have every player scoring 200k or more. People are already tanking left and right in Android nq. |

Gold has been like this since the last patch. Maybe 40% of my games start out 6-6, and maybe half of those have every player scoring 200k or more. People are already tanking left and right in Android nq. I think because in the last update or maybe a recent announcement they said they're reducing LQ rewards. Some of the LQ players may have thought that went into effect immediately and just got out of LQ right then. |

You're making the assumption that the only people in LQ are exploiters that are there on purpose. Or at least it seems that's the standpoint you're taking. If that were the case, LQ matches would mainly be high level champion players, and there'd be no benefit to these exploiters. The reality is, there are tons of people from leagues and levels all the way at the bottom all the way to the top. Many of these people are in LQ because they have disconnection issues, or the leave certain maps before the game starts, or whatnot. I don't have statistics, so I'm making generalizations here. But not every single person in LQ is there on purpose, and not all of them even know it exists. |

No need to track it down. They make their announcements in very obscure ways sometimes lol. If that's true then that's very good news. That combined with a penalty will make it function more the way it should. Although it is going to push exploiters back into the normal queue and who knows what they're going to try next. |

Welcome to "Fading". And there is nothing past this point that Pix can do with code to stop it...They can however hurry up with custom match options.
And the LQ made "Champs" will be trading their jerseys in; rather having them torn off by the NQ guys.

The necessity for LQ is what really bothers me.
Pixonic broke the game twice:
1. Encouraging Gepard clubbing in bronze. Not penalizing the Gepard like the britbots. We whine about it so Pixonic fixes it...
2. ...With the advent of the semi-ELO matchmaker. Now they caused full spectrum clubbing across all tiers.
The Russian Solution: Create a queue for people who tank, leave matches, or skip maps. No matter that people can fade and get the same result. And the masses cheered.

The bigger problem that leads to tanking or any form of exploitation (other than 「dookie」ty people to begin with) is the lack of incentive to climb the leagues. Or the lack of disincentive to play it lower leagues. If silver and/or Au payout was lower in the lower leagues, tankers wouldn't benefit by dropping anymore.
You'll never get rid of 「dookie」ty people. What you can do is take away their incentive until all they're left with is playing the "right" way.

I've been in the Leaver's Queue for 6 days now. When do you get out? The reason why I'm in it because I left a lot of games to get springfield for raijin climbing but I left games right away when there was still a timer and no one has picked their robots yet.

I haven't skipped any maps at all. I always play until the end. The only good news is that I've got into Expert 2 from it. I'd say that I've placed far more games that I have skipped. I know the punishment for LQ is coming so I'm just grabbing trophies while I can when I'm trying to get out.

The whole point LQ was to segregate those Players. Currently, they are facing NQ. These "penalties" are meaningless.
It still won't resolve the power-gap that is plaguing MM.
