Not in America. And if you can't tell where do i live by looking at my nick, you are more hopeless than I thought. Years of Berlusconi, and the average Italian way of thinking of "outsmarting" the system, seem to both prove your point (where seeing a way to cheat diffuses the problem), but also disprove the part where do you live it's prohibited to glorify criminal behaviour. Apart apology of Fascism/Nazism, Holocaust Negation, and Pedophily, i don't think in Italy there is any protection vs the glorifying of criminal behaviour. Actually it's pretty diffused (think tax evasion, bankruptcy, the various economical magic tricks, etc) Man, I graduated in law, even if a couple of decades have passed. Art. 414 of the Italian criminal code punishes the apology of any criminal offense (delitto). Actually, the penalty is increased if that is done over the mass media or using "informatic means", aka internet. True that the enforcement is somewhat spotty... apology of tefth is rarely prosecuted, apologize of murder or paedophily almost invariably so. We don't have a crime of Holocaust negation, tho. That's Germany, Austria and, I think, but I'm not sure, France. Also, I would avoid passing judgement on someone's else government.. it's unnecessary to teh conversation and I don't know of any country on the planet that didn't have its share of controversial or downright questionable leaders.

This forum is infected beyond cure. Now, just because a law graduated, not even a lawyer, has been discovered on it? You hurt my feelings!

Im of the opinion that we should ban people from the forum who post way more than they play the actual game. Seems to me, the one that are the most vocal here tend to be the one who are casual players and dont really put in a lot of time on the game itself. As someone who plays a lot, I get frustrated with the opinions of those who do not even play much, just love to talk about it.
Banning peoples view points on the game because they go against yours leads to "filtered" information. No different than getting your news from only one biased source. Just my take on it..gotta go.. my squad needs me..

</div></div>And you know that " the one that are the most vocal here tend to be the one who are casual players and dont really put in a lot of time on the game itself" because you made a post counts of the most active posters, you checked their game profile, saw their total wins, came up with a way to infer total games from total wins, then compared the results with a random survey of forum members and their game profiles and noticed that the most prolific posters were 3 or more standard deviations out of the normal distribution on the low side of games played... ...or just throwing stuff out there because that sounds good? EDIT: I don't know why, there seem no way the system is allowing me to quote the guy. Oh well.

All joking aside, my thoughts are, let them have their say. I would rather they make themselves known so that I know who's on my target deck when the drop goes and they show up in red. Words are posturing and ephemeral anyway. Deeds speak much louder. I've posted and followed here since inception, and my observances are, those with character and determination to play, stay. The tankers, gepers, leavers, and weak of mind & spirit, come and then they go. Those who look inside to find the strength to play for honor unto themselves, endure. I've read many reasons for bad play, '"I'm geping to farm gold &silver to build a TT hangar" or "everybody's doing it", or "I'm doing it to stay in my teir", etc. the excuses are many, by the cause is the same. A weak spirit. They do not realize the skills you build getting to that point. Like real life, all the high speed gear in the world doesn't make you Tier One. There are no dangerous weapons, only dangerous men.
I say let them come, speak their piece and depart as they do. For the rest, take it as fuel to know you are strong and doing what is right by you. At the end of the day, when it is just you in the night, that's who you have to answer to; yourself. If you can stand knowing you cheated yourself and the ones you've dropped with, so be it.
Another quote from Shakespeare. For your consideration. The St Crispin's day speech.
WESTMORLAND. O that we now had here But one ten thousand of those men in England That do no work to-day!
KING. What's he that wishes so? My cousin, Westmorland? No, my fair cousin; If we are mark'd to die, we are enow To do our country loss; and if to live, The fewer men, the greater share of honour. God's will! I pray thee, wish not one man more. By Jove, I am not covetous for gold, Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost; It yearns me not if men my garments wear; Such outward things dwell not in my desires. But if it be a sin to covet honour, I am the most offending soul alive. No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England. God's peace! I would not lose so great an honour As one man more methinks would share from me For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more! Rather proclaim it, Westmorland, through my host, That he which hath no stomach to this fight, Let him depart; his passport shall be made, And crowns for convoy put into his purse; We would not die in that man's company That fears his fellowship to die with us. This day is call'd the feast of Crispian. He that outlives this day, and comes safe home, Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd, And rouse him at the name of Crispian. He that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say "To-morrow is Saint Crispian." Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, And say "These wounds I had on Crispin's day." Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember, with advantages, What feats he did that day. Then shall our names, Familiar in his mouth as household words— Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter, Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester— Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be rememberèd- We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; And gentlemen in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

As much as I think some of the self-professed tankers are unrepentant, petty little crap-stirrers...no. I agree with the mods' conclusion that it's a grey area.
The ones that are bad have no self-control, and I am confident that they'll make a slip at some point that will put them afoul of the mods; self-popping pimples, if you will.

There are games where I take non-conforming play much more seriously. VainGlory (a MOBA for tablet/phone) is an excellent example of this should work, and be punished, while being conscientious about flakier connectivity on these devices. 1) There are separate competitive and casual queues, so there's a place to play around beside LQ. 2) Leaving gets you banned for increasing durations, starting with a brief 30 second warning, in case it was accidental. 3) it works very hard to reconnect your game if you exit the app. With Walking War Robots, if the app is closed for more than 5 seconds, that game is probably toast for you.
I don't find smurfing to be a big deal on game play. Maybe 20% more likely I'll lose, but with the chaos in MM and rankings, I don't notice much. In Diamond on iOS I still occasionally get whole teams that forget to capture home beacons. I'm here to blow 「dookie」 up. If I wanted a competitive game, I'd go back to VainGlory.
Pixonic doesn't really care either. The incentives in every holiday event encourage a single minded focus on kills, damage, or beacons. It decimates any notion of regular game play. And I think that's great, because this game gets pretty stale otherwise. They have their limits, and made LQ and fixed MM. But I think they're more interested in making a fun game than an eSport. I would be very surprised if anyone got their Rogotka by playing by your personal interpretation of the rules. I sure didn't, and am enjoying my shiny new toy (actually 4 of them, counting all the ones I won from chests).

Did they try to erase all knowledge of black magic in Hogwarts? NO.
To fight the evil, you have to know the evil. That is why - let them speak.
I voted NO and I'm convinced the line set by admins & mods is correct - admitting tanking YES, advising on tanking NO.

Seriously, you are making an argument based on the behaviour of Harry potter's school? Alright.
On a side note, I'm surprised this thread survived Dredd's locking spree. To the ones who contributed to the OP if the Tankus Moronus thread, sorry I never got.to update said OP to add your races.

Sooo....another one for you. What do cybersecurity companies do when they identify a skilled hacker? Do they persecute him, or do they rather hire him as a security tester? On your side note - you never know how far we are from the edge of the cliff. But we'll get to know as soon as we fall over

mijapi300 You're Alive!!!
Anyhow as with regards to banning I don't think anyone confessing to anything should be banned They have not broken any forum rules by doing so. Smoking weed and confessing to smoke weed are two very different things.
As with regards to the shaming: giphy.com/gifs/Ob7p7lDT99cd2/html5
I think it works only on the weak willed as the strong willed will zombify a towering knight and crush your skull while you pee giphy.com/gifs/143REYibDCKTXa/html5

gr3ygh05t I am alive! Life got busy and I lost interest in the game. I think the prices of the WW bots during the event was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I'm starting to get back into it now, but I think I've joined the dark side and can concur with many of the complaints people have had. Gareth is still the best bot in the game though!
