I'm 42, born in '74. Glad to be around so many greybeards. Here's a little age-appropriate treat for BlackGrouse .

Here's a little age-appropriate treat for BlackGrouse . Oh yeah! Finnish parody version of the Village People's Y.M.C.A -song ! To be honest, I didn't even know that there is parody version of that song It is two years before my time - nice pick dredd77 ! That song have been most played one in Finland in January 1979 And 24th August in 2007 it was most linked video in "Viral Video Chart" by that one day. VVC was formerly the top site for discovering popular video content.

And I used to think I'd be around the same age as most people who played this game...

I refuse to "grow up". When I was a child, I was often complimented for how mature I acted. I noticed how few so-called "adults" were actually qualified for the title, and I decided they were all full of 「dookie」 and chose my own path. As I got older, and with my raging Peter Pan syndrome, I started getting jibes about how immature and child like I can be... I haven't really changed much from how I learned to act as a child. You know, the ol' "learned it all in kindergarten, share with others, etc" bit. Being child-like is a secret blessing, the world is still full of possibilities to me.
「fluffernutter」 the adults and 「fluffernutter」 "adult-ing". Be yourself.

Why are most here so old? Still caught off guard. I wonder if part of it is format-based. Message boards used to be ubiquitous, it's how many of us 'back in the day' began to connect with communities, a sort of natural evolution from usenet groups. These days, they- much like the "chat room" have been replaced by social media.
I'd wager that the age demo in the War Robots Facebook community skews much lower than here.
[getoffmylawn]Probably why this place is filled with civil discourse and a helpful spirit, and the FB groups are rife with trolling, epeen boasting, and general manchild entitlement rants.[/getoffmylawn]

Why are most here so old? Still caught off guard. Because we ain't died yet. ? 1965 here. Natural progression for me, played games all my life. So they moved from cards and board games, to the video games pong and tanks showing up in bars, video game consoles (Atari and it's successors) to PC's and now the iPad. Plus a long career in IT before retirement. before 1960.

Kind of off topic... I had a strange moment; I was watching 2001: A Space Odessey on Netflix on my iPad sitting on the table, eating a nuked stouffers lasagna, at exactly the same point wher Boman and Poole are eating their nuked dinner, watching The News broadcast on there pads. I was like man, I wonder if in 40 years, someone's going to be watching me watching them watching the news...
