Agreed.
However an honorable mention for some good old Warhammer 40k surely. Even if painting your forces was half the fun.

Well, I know of it, but I've never played it. Except for MechWarrior Online. And I'm trying to find out where to get Mechwarrior 4 mercenaries.

I'm pretty sure that, aside from computer games dating back to The Crescent Hawk's Inception, I haven't played tabletop since the 80's, which would include Mechwarrior. The only game that I've stuck with has been D&D since '79. I still have my Battletech box set and since you've brought it back up, I plan on taking it out to see what my kids think of it.

The only game that I've stuck with has been D&D since '79. I still have my Battletech box set and since you've brought it back up, I plan on taking it out to see what my kids think of it. I need to start a BT game here in Raleigh, NC.. anyone want to play? |

They canned the Mechwarrior 5 game in favor of MWO.
I played nearly all the PC games, read all the books, played all the MechCommander games, even the buggy one for iOS.
Love the series and love the system they used.

Saw the beta beta beta version a while ago and I love the look of it. I'd love an online co-op version, just as long as there's checks in there to keep the process moving for those slow players.

It even includes the mech packs. I still play it, once in a while...

Megameks is a good battletech simulator.
There was also some other thing that allowed you to play with others online.
