I've been firmly resolved to max out my Ares as well - ever since I was trashed by a maxed out, dual DL12 wielding Ares.
I remember that moment well. It was on Acropolis and the guy attacked from the spawn points, all it took was like two pairs of shots to burst my frail mech (I think it was also an Ares, perhaps 18 energy at the time) 😓

Well, it's finally done!! This has been some Ahab vs Moby 「wee-wee」 「dookie」 I swear. I didn't buy Stalker until well after the buff and that cost me a lot of A-Coins in the end. But now he's maxed and ready to roar. Even splurged a few A-Coins and subbed in the gold Predator Drive Damage implant. It's a couple levels below max though so the tippy top guys can out muscle me still. But this should even the field. And here's the first game I played with it. Ended it with full health, lol. What a monster!

Powered through and cashed in like over 400 Fortune Crate keys I'd been saving (have yet to need them for a Research Event) and I managed to get the Surge at R5 for A-Coins and then max it. That's now 8 mechs maxed and all the major tournament meta mechs covered. There are newer ones that might be slightly better still, but it's fine to take my time. Orion might be better than Ares or Gatecrasher might be stronger than Guardian but none of them are must-have-maxed-now mechs at this point. I am lacking in well-levelled EMRs twhich are the only real piece of the meta I am missing. That and the general backlog of weapon upgrades will be my big focus for a while. I'm a little tempted to max my Paragon, which is stuck at 5.4, for some CPC fun, but credits are a real roadblock on that. Mainly though, I just want to sit back and enjoy that I've gotten my hangar to this point 🥳

Been a while since I maxed a mech. Marching this little s.o.b. up the ranks while dealing with my EMRs took a while. Next steps are to max both the EMR16 and 12 and then I guess I'll turn attention to Bastion. I was going to do Tengu and Shotguns but now there's no point. This is the hangar I am hoping mostly to run for CPC. Minimum mech speed 20 mph. Maximum 29mph. Median speed 29 mph. Average speed 25.8 mph. I mostly focus on the meta for tournament earnings but the speed hangar is what I've been working towards all along (◔‿◔)
My EMR8s are at R5.6 and when I take them past R6, I'll experiment with substituting my Shadow for Panther. It's worked alright but lacks umph. While I'd like to crank the average speed up to 27.6 mph with it, my guess is I'll mostly stick with the Panther.

Well done! I just recently maxed my Redox and TBH, I'm not very happy with it. But...I really needed another 32EN mech so that's why I did that. My next one is Gatecrasher and this one is a bit more fun. Gonna slap my DL16's on it. After that, I'll be doing JR12 and Bastion pretty much at the same time as I get blueprints for those. My JR12 is almost ready to clone so can't wait for that!

Well, I went for it and maxed the old Paragon. I'd had it parked at 5.7 for a while now and spending the credits as part of the Playoff Event that just ended, plus the fact that rank up costs will soon be raised for heavy mechs, gave me the final incentive to max it. Only played one game with it so far, but I hope I'll have some fun with it in CPC. I have to say, while yes it could certainly use a health boost, I kind of wonder how much a difference it would make just upping its normal speed to 22 or 24mph. If it could just duck behind corners faster without the ability when under fire, it could make an outsized difference.
It's going to be a while, but I think I will get my 5.1 Lancer up to max this year too. I have EMR8s, so it could be fun playing that. Also, while they won't be upgraded enough for a while, I have Jav16s. Figure those will be what will ultimately work best on Paragon. Would be cool when I max Gatecrasher and Onyx to try an all 32EN mech hangar!

You could try one of the Neymar pilots on him. Just pop the ability before stepping out of cover. Though I'm not sure it works in the side to side direction.

Paragon with Neymar is a hoot. Not nearly as fast as with KS but still pretty darned fast. You can do a super sprint more often thanks to the sprint cool down. I think the normal sprint also lasts longer but I'm not sure. You can't super sprint sideways or backwards but you can do it with just the Paragon's ability. It's still not fast enough to get you into cover in today's OSK but it does help especially when you use DLs or JRs or even RMs.
I didn't think of the JR16 idea for Paragon and have to admit that it's kinda appealing to me. Almost makes me want to invest in the JR16 now.

Yeah, I'm running Neymar with it. Wish mobile users had a button so we could instantly sprint, just like PC players, instead of waiting for the directional controls to make it kick in. Otherwise, so far so good in CPC. Already snagged MVP a couple times with it! One was when I was running squad with a couple 10-11k players and one of them was definitely looking at my mech all like "wait is that a Paragon??" Lol.

Maybe MR16s will go on it eventually. 😉 Three are DL implants: Reload (gold), Radius (purple), and Damage (purple). They're all maxed. So is the one mech implant where I put my one gold Ability Cooldown implant that I just recently won. Shaving down 5 seconds off the reload is totally worth it. I am actually starting to really like this mech for CPC. It is so nice to have a mech with real endurance. BTW, I assume you meant to type MR12s, as the Bastion tops out at 24EN. ;-)

I finally maxed my Stalker this last weekend. Wow! Dual DL12s are excellent. I imagine dual 12EN-anything may be good. On a side note, freeing up my DL8 allows me to run a disk launcher Shadow. This vexous sprite is a fun build too.

In the Red Shift map I find it's better to hold off and drop it later on the match if needed. Do you have the gold Predator Drive Damage implant for it? DL12 honestly is the best build I think and RM12s are also a top one. I haven't run Jav12s or HR12s on it but I've seen others make good use of those. Direct fire weapons are a lot trickier given Stalker's low HP. I have seen a player or two do well with EMR12s on certain 5v5 maps but I'm convinced they were on a computer and thus could cornershoot better than normal. Definitely experiment as you want and see, but I would most stick to Discs.

My Orion is maxed now. Missiles are my fave build. I call it my blunt sniper. Hit the front mech of a group with my hunter’s mark and then watch 2-3 targets explode. Orion’s challenging my Shadow for fave mech. Great with the Brazilian pilots speed bonus.

Finally got my EMR16 maxed! So now I have the 55% critical damage bump. As celebration I my first single shot took out a whole enemy mech with full health. My EMR12 is just 5 bps shy of max too. I'd worked on accelerating both to max until the nerf hit, then I stopped bothering. Now they're not the monsters that I used to get annihilated by, but still it feels nice to finally check that box.

I did try to "train" myself for a bit but found that my hit rate with RGs really suffered so I decided I would rather use RGs. I might change my mind down the road but who knows?

Yeah, I'm middling with mine. Sometimes I'm on, other times it's miss after miss. 🙄 I find mech speed really impacts my timing, and it'll often get messed up when I switch. Even the motion messes me up, which is why the smooth-moving Killshot and Surge tend to really feel off for me. And I definitely struggle against human players. I used to have the RG vs EMR problem. I don't know if I fixed it by playing both more often or what. I did end up playing around with my camera sensitivity setting around that time and I think it helped.

In terms of upgrade prioritization though, I am actually kinda proud of that. I got the better mechs done first, but I didn't forget the hopper! Trying it out last night against tons of terminator AI, I was wondering a bit whether I should have bothered. But my first match this morning was against humans on the 3-beacon pagoda map and it was awesome! Lancer is very map specific and I know there will be some 5v5 tournament maps where it'll be spice things up to rotate it in. Still it is frail; I can't believe I used to think of it as tanky back-in-the-day. Liking RG16s over EMR8s. Will try EMR16 and DL16s & 8s too. I never invested in guided missiles past the Jav6, but when my HR16 is levelled, I imagine that will be a nice fit.

Finally maxed my Eclipse! Been working on this for two months. So happy to finally be done with it. Also maxed my Gatecrasher as well. The last blueprint rolled in last week, but because of the current "spend A-Coins/credits" Playoff Event, I held off until I upgraded the Eclipse. Between both of these that opens up a lot of good options for firepower. Definitely was a merry Christmas!

The best part is I only need two implants for rails, so I have both Cooldown and Duration on that pilot (also the best combo for rails on Panthers). MG12s work well too and have the benefit of not taking a weapon away from another mech, b/c except maybe for Bastion, they don't really work on anything else. I want to upgrade my Ember12s as they seem killer on some FFA maps, without taking AT12s from my Surge. Embers only have 2 weapon implants, so that should be great. But I have a bottleneck on legendary pilots, so it's not going to be simple or cheap.

Just maxed my second pilot, Stefania. Myna has been pink for awhile now. Shot my SP up by about 50 each! That’s both of my regular mech pilots. Still have a way to go to get everything pink, but this is the farthest I’ve taken anything in this mess.

Nice! Talk to me about Ember! How does it perform and is it better than Arc Torrents? I just doubled my EG12s this weekend. I'm still getting the hang of them. I also have it on only a purple pilot with purple implants vs. a gold pilot for my ArcTs. Arcs are the better overall weapon, although up-close in the right maps, Embers probably are better. My damage isn't quite there so it's a bit hard to tell, but on the right bots like Eclipse they seem strong for anti-personnel mode's (5v5, FFA). On CPC Arcs definitely seem better, not just because they have the distance but they are a bit more versatile as a defender. Embers seem more like pick the target, stalk the target, kill the target in their style. High HP bots can definitely be a problem and (for me at least) take up to 4 rounds of firing. That might not be that much of a time difference though with Arcs, not sure. The chain effect and continuous fire makes Arcs better for masses of enemies, although you can get groups with Ember too. Arcs are probably better for corner shooting. It is a little frustrating how much damage gets blocked by your target being partially covered. All that said, Ember is definitely the first real close-up weapon since Arcs came out. And they are fun to play. Until a legendary shotgun drops it is definitely worth getting. Put it on a gold pilot if you can. For those fine with spending, getting the two gold implants (which are a cheaper package deal as there are only two) is probably worth it. The gold range only bumps it up from 40m to 45m but that's useful. Extra damage is definitely useful.

I like the EG’s, but I prefer the mechanics of the shotties - that two second wait between mags of only 2 rounds takes some getting used to, where the shotties unload 5 shots and will kill quicker. The benefit of EG’s is they do more damage in the time it takes the shotties to reload. So if I don’t get 1-shotted, I usually get the kill. The EG’s, like shotties, are really a blast on a group of reds, especially if they’re all within the sky strike’s range. The other benefit of the EG’s is the short reload time after you get zapped by a Guardian - I’ve surprised a few of them when I’m ready to light up again so shortly after being crashed. Can’t really say how they compare to AT’s, as I haven’t used AT’s with this hangar. I know I get roasted by them when Surges and eclipses sneak up on me - they’re both too fast for Lancer to jump away from when I’m within their range, and with the HR’s a minimum range of 20m, once they get in close I’m a sitting duck. Tengu doesn’t fare much better, unless I can hit the tantrum button in time. I really, really hate both of those mechs.
