Just remember you will lose all rights to the design, and likely get no credit mention as the designer. But hey, if a free bot is your price, fine - lol

And rather than give them a high-five for putting this together, or even just pass on by without remark, you feel compelled to piss in their Cheerios. A lot of folks here have remarked that the DethHilt of now isn't the DethHilt they remember from before, so I hope things sort themselves out for you. I mean, can you point to a contest or community event that you've put together here recently (or ever)?

Meet Crane. The final design should have a bit more armor, but this would be the bones of the robot. Due to the two light and two medium weapon points, this would be a heavy robot and I think it should have the same speed and health as the griffin. The special ability would be a new one.... Stretch. When in Stretch Mode, the robot's neck extends with a hydraulics system, and the legs stretch out to give the robot enough height to lift it's medium weapons above walls and structures that are too high for other large robots to shoot over. I could see it also being useful when climbing ramps. During Stretch Mode, the robot is immobile. What do you think? Attachment Deleted

I noticed that my robot needs a pivot point and jet engines. Those can easily be incorporated into the design. It's concept that I am going for.

I has a bot I'm my mind called Arthur. A heavy bot in the same faction as that from Galahad, Garteh and Lancelot. He has 4 Med weapons, max health 185k hp, max speed 36kph and his ability is turret. Turret can, as the name says deploy turrets. The turrets are immobile. The turrets has one light hard point which it's stock equipped with Spirals and it's recommend to get some med-long ranged weapons on it. Turrets has if they maxed 50k hp. You can use it too for beacon defense with a magnum equipped on it. Another bot called Gawain. He's a medium bot for the same faction as Arthur. His weapon equipments are 1 heavy and 1 light hardpoint. His max health is 120k and his top speed is 45kph. His ability is Clone. If the Clone ability is switched on, Gawain can copy his self and protect you. The clones can do some damage but has only 77k health.
So what do you guys think?

I don't have a concept for a complete bot, but one thing I thought might be interesting was a medium bot that stealthed while jumping/air born. It would unstealth by the time it hit the ground.

Nice contest. I can't draw for crap so I won't have a submission, but I do have some ideas for "weapons". Specifically, "weapons" which do not directly cause damage.
1. Jammer: This would interfere with the target bot's fire control, preventing fire (medium, range 375) or reducing rate of fire by 50% (light, range 750) of all the target bot's weapons for 4 seconds, increasing 1 second per level, recharge time 20 seconds.
2. Oil Slick: This would either freeze movement in the target bot (medium, range 375) or cause the target bot to move in a straight line in its last direction of movement (light, range 750). 4 second effect, going up 1 second per level, with a 20 second recharge.
3. Fogger: (Light, range 750) Prevents the target bot from either locking on a target or having any effect on a beacon. 4 second duration, going up 1 second per level, with a 20 second recharge.
4. Piercer: (Heavy, range 1,000) Renders all physical and energy shields (whether built-in or not) of the target bot ineffective and prevents energy shields from recharging for a period of 4 seconds, going up 1 second per level. 20 second recharge.
5. Turncoat: (Heavy, range 400) Causes the target bot to fire all weapons at its nearest allied robot effectively (that is, a bot struck by Turncoat will be able to damage a friendly bot) for a period of 4 seconds, going up 1 second per level, with a recharge time of 20 seconds.

Great artwork & ideas everyone! Here are my ideas, sorry the images are trash... pressed for time so I had to play cut'n'paste franken bot but Should be enough to get the idea across. I'm not so worried about how they look exactly just the key characteristics: NORSE PATRIARCH is the description & stats ok in the images or should I type it out in the body of the post as well?

Stealth bomber/ground attack aircraft, I like it!...suggested similar thing for a Rog buff a while back but the extra HP/Speed will do just fine.

Here's my submission. I wanted to create something fun and different. Main idea behind the special ability is to introduce a reliable counter to all the shielded bots that have pretty much taken over the game. Thanks for checking it out! Duckee 2 medium hardpoint on something like that would be too good. 2 light hardpoints would be better.

Duckee 2 medium hardpoint on something like that would be too good. 2 light hardpoints would be better. Would be ok for a medium Robot as long as it's 2500 Au & the HP gets dialed & the "stun effect" doesn't last longer than a few seconds.

Why ICARUS ? This robot was biuld using some templates from an old fighter jet plane F16. The name ICARUS comes from the greek mythology. This hero built himself wings to fly towards the sun using feathers and wax. Because of the hot temperature the wax melted and Icarus died. Thats why this robot can't fly but is a great jumper. Stats: Weapons : 2x Medium weapon slot 1x Heavy weapon slot lvl 1 HP : 63000 lvl 8 HP : 104000 lvl 1 speed : 32 km/h lvl 8 speed : 41 km/h special ability : jump On the image you can see Kang Dae mounted on it Attachment Deleted Attachment Deleted Attachment Deleted

?? ? ??Light bot, 75k HP, 40kph speed 1 Medium weapon slot Special ability: Ram mode - doubles in size, HP and speed for 30 seconds. Ramming other robots results in 1,000 per Kph speed at impact. Other damage modifier is (robot level x 3,000 HP). Cool down 120 seconds. During cooldown can go pass through walls and go inside things like buildings and structure. At cooldown, bonus HP goes away. If this results in negative HP, bot prematurely ejects.

Here is mine. I want to submit the medium version because it looked the best when I drew it. I have included concepts for the heavy and light since Pix usually puts it Longzu (dragon god) Description: Longzu is a medium robot. Extremely fast and robust, Longzu poses an extreme threat to the enemy team by its EMP Pulse Cannon and it's medium weapon slot and two light weapon slots. It features a passive film shielding that negates 50% of damage from splash and plasma. Longzu's EMP Pulse cannon reduces the speed of enemy robots within a 200m radius by 15%. Speed reduction for heavy robots last 45 seconds, medium robots, 10 seconds, and light robots, 5 seconds and can be fired for 1 time. While in DISRUPTION mode, Longzu loses it's ability to fire it medium weapon and it's EMP Cannon extends out and its speed is increased by 50%. It has an ammo capacity of 1 and the cooldown of it will be 20 seconds. Default Equipment = 1x Tulumbas, 2x Punisher Recommended Equipment = 1x Taran, 2x Magnum or 1x Orkan, 2x Magnum Max HP = 75k Max Speed = 48 km/h Bot Notes: Like the Sezu, Longzu will also encourage the use of kinetic weapons, but this robot is aimed specifically as a nerf and a reduction to heavy robots. It's EMP Pulse, is particularly punishing to heavy robots as compared to light robots. Although a 15% speed reduction may not seem like much, once a Griffin is hit by the pulse, it starts traveling from 36 km/h -> 30 km/h. For Furies: 30 km/h -> 25 km/h. The pulse of this weapon can go through walls so managing to get this bot to the enemy camping spots will put the reds at a severe disadvantage in beacon control as they are no longer able to travel as fast to defend unchecked beacons. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Chinese Faction Notes : These new chinese bots are meant to change the dynamic and meta of the game from a Plasma / Splash dependent to a more balanced type of meta, Plasma, Splash and Kinetic weapons and will also bring out more medium and light robots in competitive play. The robots all have a protective shielding over their hulls that negates 50% of damage against splash or energy, making them extremely vulnerable to kinetic weapons but resilient to splash and energy. They also will force teams to rely on more teamwork instead of the every-bot-for-themselves soloing stye. For the maximum effectiveness, good communication and strategies will make these robots difficult to beat. The 3 robots are the first to play the meta of the game, therefore featuring a separate type of ability for each of the light, medium and heavy robots. Thy all place the objective of attacking, capturing, and holding beacons extremely well. Backstory : After a very intense 10 minute standoff between 2 tanker clans in Yamateau, the pilots were forced to eject after the tie ran out, leaving them all at spawn virtually undamaged. The chinese faction swooped down after and took advantage of the situation. They took parts from the 12 abandoned robots on the field and made their own, Guaizu, Longzu and Sezu. -Light- Sezu (snake god) Description: Sezu is a light robot. Heavily armed and dangerous if left unchecked, it boasts a heavy weapon slot and a light weapon slot for it's state-of-art hit and run attacks. Sezu features a passive film shielding that negates 50% of damage from splash and plasma weapons. It also has an ability to boost it's role of a lightning fast beacon capper and an aggressive ambusher, CRAWL. Upon entering CRAWL mode, Sezu deploys his wheels at and goes down in height, decreasing its turning speed by 20% and being unable to be targeted by Energy and Splash weapons. CRAWL duration = 7 seconds, cooldown = 20 seconds. Default equipment = 1x Punisher, 1x Kang Dae Recommended equipment = 1x Pinata, 1x Thunder or 1x Gekko, 1x Zeus Max HP = 65K Max Speed = 52 km/h Bot Notes: This bot is aimed to be a viable light robot in top tier and an encouragement for more of the use of kinetic weapons and close ranged encounters. At 160K health against Energy and Splash builds but at only 80K health, this bot is extremely vulnerable to such weapons. However, as the current meta of the game goes, Sezu will be quite a challenge to take out. Equipped with a Thunder, this robot has the ability to wreck havoc on the enemy team if left unchecked. The introduction of Sezu will hopefully bring out more obscure builds like the Punisher Griffin and the Nashorn Fury. -Heavy- Guaizu (turtle god) Description: Guaizu is a heavy robot. A legend in defensive combat and beacon control, Guaizu possesses as an extreme supporting bot for teammates; impossible to destroy when well defended. It features a passive film shielding that negates 50% of damage from splash and plasma weapons. Guaizu ability is a deployment of 4 physical shields and a built in Ancile called FORTRESS mode. During FORTRESS mode, Guaizu's movement speed is cut by 50% and it deploys its 4 shields, and ancile and a built in Punisher MK2. It raises to gain a strategic advantage over its opponents and moving cover for its teammates. It loses its ability to fire it's medium weapons, and once the Ancile is depleted, it cannot be regenerates. The Ancile regenerates at 0.5% per second per teammate within the Ancile shield (Guaizu included). It will take 2 seconds to deploy FORTRESS mode and 2 seconds to deactivate it. Default Equipment = 2x Punisher Recommended Equipment = 2x Punisher, 2x Orkan Max HP = 120K Max Shield Health: 150K for 2x Middle, 170K for Side (Firearms do double damage to shields) Max Ancile Shield Health: 250K Max Speed = 35 km/h Bot Notes: Guaizu was created to encourage coordinated squad play. Especially useful in maps with a center beacon in mind, Guaizu, when protecting 2 or more teammates, will prove near impossible to kill. Like the Double Ancile Raijin, Guaizu will be a difficult bot to kill, especially going against it solo. A coordinated team with Guaizu and some other bots, will be able to hold center beacon in Shenzen with success. The shields on Guaizu will also be a pain to kill. If the meta of the game keeps, Guaizu's shields would take 640K hitpoints of plasma and ~200K hitpoints of splash, assuming that the Ancile can be destroyed.

My idea was another bot with the assault mode. Yes, I said assault mode. Hear me out before you send me hate mail.
Name: Berserker (If you think that the name is stupid just let me know) Max Health: 150k Max Speed: 30 mph Hardpoints: 1 Heavy and 2 Light Ability: Assault Mode (Speed increased by 100%; Light hardpoints move to the front with the plates they are mounted on, making them inactive; turning disabled)
I have a picture but can't post it for now so hold on. If you have some ideas let me know.

Velociraptor is a light robot. Size:Very small. Like a Cossack with a long tail. Speed:Very fast. Similar to Stalker or Gareth Health:Very low. Similar to Cossack, maybe slightly lower. No physical or energy shield. Weapons:Single light slot at tip of tail, held high, scorpion-style. About the same height as a Natasha's heavy weapons, giving it a similar ability to fire over most cover. Special Ability: "Pounce"Velociraptor can jump, on a short cooldown (somewhere between Cossack and Rogatka). Jump covers similar distance to Cossack, but much less vertical height (something like the first "Dash" prototype's jump). IF Velociraptor ends a pounce in contact with an enemy robot, it will attach where it contacted (using the magnetic clamps it has for "hands"), and then continually channel damage into the attached victim until either it or the 'raptor dies, or the 'raptor voluntarily detaches (by hitting special ability button again). The method by which it channels damage is not important to the meta; maybe it kicks with its foot spurs, or electrocutes through its "hands", or does some short range wireless hacking or whatever, the point is it adds a new meta-dynamic (melee!) which I think could be fun to play. Channelled damage strength would need to be tweaked, but I'm thinking something around two Magnums' worth, proportional to the Velociraptor's level, would be a good place to start. This isn't super strong, but is balanced by the fact that it's hard to "return fire" against an attached 'raptor; Attached to your back you can't point weapons at it (meaning you need team mates to remove it), and attached to your side likely only some of your weapons will be able to hit it, meaning it is hard to remove. The meta is about sneaking up on or flanking an enemy well enough to get a more advantageous "Pounce". Perhaps it is also possible to detach one by scraping it against a wall or other geometry, but that'd be a lot harder to code in (would be fun though, and would make being caught out in the open even more dangerous). While attached, Velociraptor can continue to fire its light weapon, but only at the attached target. It can look around freely while attached for situational awareness, but the tail remains always pointing at its victim. If the victim is a light or medium robot, it can still move freely, carrying its attacker with it. If a light robot, it can move also, but counts as having the " leg damaged" ailment the whole time the 'raptor is attached, to model the proportionately heavier load (and reward the 'raptor player for catching a smaller, faster, harder to hit target). Velociraptor's melee damage ignores physical shields (and is inside energy shields, which it thus bypasses, but does not damage). I imagine two or three of these stuck to you would really suck. Pack hunters! Notes:Visual design is just preliminary. I actually envisaged it looking more spartan and mechanical (no head, boxier, open frame, etc) and just following enough of the basic biological layout to evoke its namesake. This is what came out when I did a quick sketch on my phone in S-Note, though (hard to plan much ahead when you can't use layers, and hard to make design changes after the fact when you can't partially erase lines, etc). Plenty of layout tweaking still required, but there's enough there to get the idea across. I have ideas for medium and heavy "Jurassic" bots too, BTW, but no time to draw/write them up before the deadline. :c

CONTEST FINALISTS!!!!! Im really excited to be at this point in the Robot Design Contest. We had a massive response and there were many great ideas. It sounds cliche, but it wasn't easy to choose just five for the finalists. These will be sent to a representative of Pixonic who will select the first, second, and third place winners. Here they are in no particular order. A. "Avalanche" by, Manikandeshwar Sasidhar. This heavy 'bot comes with a total of 4 weapons hard points. Its unique special ability allows it to trade mobility for enhanced penetration of a target's shields. B. "Barrett" by, Hawken Bishop. A versatile light 'bot with a simple yet very clever special feature. Barrett's two light weapon mounts can be pivoted for orientation on its extreme right or left, making for maximum use of cover behind buildings or heavily armored squad members. C. "Juggernaut" by, Guy Cross. Like its name implies this heavy 'bot has the ability to rush forward, ramming and pushing adversaries out of the way of its team. Its brute strength comes at a cost though. In order to provide the energy for such an effort, Juggernaut's 4 medium weapons slots must be deactivated. D. "Pathfinder" by, Michael Caruthers. The first of its kind, this light 'bot adds a new dimension and meaning to team play. Even with only two light weapon's slots, it can be lethal to anything it targets. By using its command special ability Pathfinder's pilot can highlight the target he has locked for his team to target as well. When they do so, they receive a small improvement to damage dealt against the designated target. E. "Mako" by Donald Wu. Mako, the medium 'bot makes for a dangerous opponent. Its two medium weapons provide ample firepower to dispatch enemies that it has maneuvered close enough to weaken. Mako's special ability uses a short range EMP blast to disable a target's weapons and energy shields temporarily.

Quite a conservative final five. I was expecting a bit more diversity but I'm trusting it was decided in some heated debates raging into the wee hours.
Thanks to all involved, and good luck to the finalists!

There were a lot of great ideas. in some cases the presentation of artwork lended to the appeal more than others. There were some very interesting ideas, such as flying and tracked robots. We liked these concepts, but didn't feel that the concept itself was captured in a way that seemed plausible in War Robots. So while there was a bit of a handicap for ideas that were less familiar we also were looking for opportunities to showcase them. While not as obvious, pathfinder, with its command ability, was one of those outside the box concepts we felt was expressed in a way that made sense in the game as it currently is.
