The Ao Jun is dead. Long live the Hawk.
The Hawk feels like an Ao Jun dialed up to 11. Its got the pretty nerf Ao Jun speed, Natasha weapons, and a better DR system than a Leech that repulses to anyone shooting it.
Thanks to all who asked for the Ao Jun nerf. Here is something worse.

Hawk is fun to play. But it's lame that they made the Jun slow in order to release a new king of the air. It's also lame that a bot with two heavy and two light weapon slots can fly that fast. Imagine a Natasha just doing that. Ridiculous, isn't it? The build-in weapon is really powerful AND works from 500m. Imagine a 500m Zeus delivering a steady stream of pain. Don't know if I like it.

What are the exact specs or description?
I'm inferring that it flies (fast), has DR, automatic weapon, 2 heavy and 2 light points?
Does it stealth?what's the HP like?

What’s the Ao Jun nerf have to do with this? ? People are somehow butthurt about a slight nerf to one of the most OP and most frequently indirectly buffed bots in the game.

For the first time in a very long time I'm ACTUALLY excited for a new robot For what I've seen I love this robot. - Amazing design - Has the firepower of the Natasha - The animation when it stores the weapons is cool - The big laser beam animation look dope - Can counter stupid Titans, Leechs and Turd Falcons. For the longest I been avoiding to use and upgrade Titans because I never liked them ( They are stupid, slow, and a pointless cashgrab p2w item and my Titan will never be as good as a whale Titan) but also because I was expecting something different from the first Gen Titans, but sadly, the Nodens ended up being behind a paywall. Now with this new Hawk robot being in development if there ever was a small chance for me to ever care about Titans now it's completely gone.

It doesn't look that bad. At least it has to stow away the weapons to fire the built in weapon unlike Ao Jun or Ares. By the looks of it, it will have to actually aim the built in weapon unlike Ao Jun. It will just be another bot I have to PS to make the 4 steps to walk back into cover as it attempts to do 100k DPS or something to me. That has already existed in the game for some time and we all have adapted our playstyles to cope. This new one looks like more of the same rather than a game changer for regular bots. I guess it will 「grape」 AM. Good.

What’s the Ao Jun nerf have to do with this? ? People are somehow butthurt about a slight nerf to one of the most OP and most frequently indirectly buffed bots in the game. It’s pretty random though. Are we going to refer to Ao Jun whenever something flies? God forbid it’s suppose to be the best flying bot forever. And where is the Ao Jun now with the nerf? It’s the 2nd best bot in the game according to many. Dammit it’s suppose to be best! It’s only one of the best in 3 meta generations!

I don’t understand the sentiment of relief that something will dethrone Au Jun. If Au Jun was a menace won’t this be an even bigger menace?

I don’t understand the sentiment of relief that something will dethrone Au Jun. If Au Jun was a menace won’t this be an even bigger menace? It's like how a real world revolution happens. People are so fed up with the current tyrant that they're willing to side with whoever to dethrone and execute him. It's only later people realise that the new leader is just as bad as the old one, and we wait for a new Revolution to occur so we can kill the new king as well.

My concern: The whaliest of whales will have 5 of these in their hangars. With an Ao Ming Titan.
My level 8 and 9 bots will be insta killed.

I just watched some YouTuber videos. Hawk combines the annoyance of being attacked by an Ao Jun with the "you can't hit me" aspect of the Leech.
Also it has resistance?
Geez.

I’m so buying five! If they weren’t all hiding in kiddies leagues I’d so be coming straight for all those idiots that complained about Ao Jun!

I don’t understand the sentiment of relief that something will dethrone Au Jun. If Au Jun was a menace won’t this be an even bigger menace? It is far too early to tell but it looks like it is less of a threat to non Titans than Ao Jun. It has to aim the built in weapon unlike Ao Jun. The built in weapon appears to do much less DPS at level 8 than Dragons Breath. The bot is unable to use its mounted weapons while making use of the built in weapon unlike Ao Jun. It looks to be the better Titan killer and in particular Kids and Ao Ming. Arthur still has a physical shield to get through making Ao Jun the better counter IMO.

If what I have heard is accurate the damage resistance is bypass resistant, and the in built weapon damage scales with what weapons are mounted.

I’ve logged several hours playing the Hawk, but fail to see how this is designed to be a titan killer. What it does excel at is killing everything but titans, it’s energy beam reaching 500m with auto-tracking being by far more powerful than Ao Jun’s Dragon Breath. It does mediocre damage to Ming and Kid, and is horrible against Arthur. May as well just run a Glacier Ao Jun with Death Mark. So, my conclusion about the current design is that Hawk is just a glorified Ao Jun and has to be played exactly the same. In a separate thread l》THE MACHINE《l says Hawk is well made and not OP. I disagree, because it does not perform the function of titan slayer it is supposedly built for, and when well played it is more OP than Ao Jun, especially when loaded with cryo weapons.

Goatboy12345 Meh, you’ll just have to hope you get lucky with the Matchmaker; I wouldn’t actually value beating you enough to deliberately tank. Why don’t you buy a real robot or two and come join me in CL3? I just saw a Natasha in my last match but he rage quit when I started frying him with my Ao Jun.

It’s kind of hard to see what would be a Titan killer without being completely overpowered against regular bots. I think they’ve missed a trick (read revenue stream) here; why not a new class of weapons that targets anti-matter reactors or something? Make them melt down or something?
