Greetings Everyone, So, after a lot of assessment, reviewing analytics, and discussion, we have decided to do a rework of the forum. The goals are to reduce clutter, make it a bit easier to navigate, and to assert a new way of regulating toxic elements. This is necessary for discussions to stay on topic, be placed in the relevant sections, and to create a more welcoming culture to all players regardless of spending habits. To accomplish this, we will be doing things like condensing and reorganizing sections, updating the CoC (Code of Conduct), and more strictly upholding the CoC. Until now we have allowed members to perpetuate a culture of slander and intolerance of paying players that has resulted in many of these people no longer participating. This will no longer be allowed in sections outside of Rants, and even in that section no personal hangar pics or direct personal attacks will be allowed. Rants is also the place to discuss and/or complain about War Robots game content and Pixonic business practices, not in threads of other sections. Lastly, people have been adamant about bypassing the language filter, using sexual slurs or innuendos, and purposely poking at the moderators for trying to adhere to the CoC. All of these things will be moderated with a no-tolerance policy. If you want to do whatever you want with no consequence or care of how it impacts people in the community, you can go spend your time in the Facebook pages. Our reasonable expectations going forward: - Stop intentionally trying to bypass the language filter. - Stop discriminatory attacks based on gender, sexual preference, religion, ethnicity, disabilities or politics. - Reserve negative discussion of p2w, game content, and Pixonic for the Rants section. We want to thank everyone for the friendships, laughter, and productive contributions. Please help us continue to make this a place of great benefit to the War Robots Community. I think this is good news. I will admit, I stopped coming to the forums due to the toxic content. I only have the news notifications turned on.
Perhaps I'll start visiting again.

You are not the only one who has communicated this to us. We actually feel it is important people know they do have a place to vent (Rants), that we are not against complaining and discussing it, but those types of comments and threads should be put in the right section. That way people who want to read and discuss can do it there, and those who don’t don’t have to read it. Sections like General Discussion and Tips should be for news and inspiring or clarifying discussion. We look forward to seeing your return ogpondskum! |

I left the forum a few months ago due to the constant toxic and negative comments about those who choose to spend money in the game, players in S-Rank clans, Reddit, and Pixonic. There were also numerous complaints about Pixonic business practices that permeated into almost all threads, quite often leading to personal attacks. My perception was that behavior was tolerated and sometimes even encouraged, creating a forum culture I did not want to participate in.
Thank you in advance, Moderators, for laying out quite reasonable expectations, and I look forward to once again being part of this great community.

I will say that most of do not like being controlled, however I know ther must be some order, and respect.
Respect......athe one component which has had me scratching my head for over 21 months as to why name and shame was allowed and tolerated.
+1 for getting rid of name and shame.
For any who disagree....handle YOUR business, and stay out of others business......

You guys have done a great job keeping it clean and user friendly. The only streamlining the forum could be combining general discussion and tips and advice. It may make it easier to find post that have been already posted.

Negative threads are a downer Each has their own individual Personalities positive or negative .let's be a little more positive and forthcoming when it comes to War Robots . Great news on the clean up, and happy for the Australia we're on fire thread to disappear. Admins and Mods, all do a great job, and I fully support the new guidelines. The forum is, mostly a solid base for discussion, robust at times, and the tougher stance on discrimination etc is an excellent start. Keep up the good work.

Why would anybody have enough of a problem with confining ranting to the rant section as to leave the forum entirely over it? This coming from someone who probably done more ranting than anybody ... and also a former mod. The guys are just doing their best to keep some semblance of order and civility, and believe me, especially anybody who thinks they can do a better job, it’s often an impossible balancing act and a generally thankless job.
Oh well. If anybody really does have that much of a problem with how things are run, then maybe the place is better off without them. Oh, and anybody who thinks Pixonic gives a runny crap what goes on in this forum doesn’t have much of a clue anyway.
Mods, do what you gotta do, and keep up the good work.
