I’ll have to check again....CRS is a thing with this old brain, lol....but I thought Manglers were like puns....
If your right, back to Stings...400m is better, or try Torms, just to annoy a la Molot!
Seems strange a pay to own weapon would suck.....lol. I’m going total F2P on this game, as I already hear the voices wanting to bag a bunch of EC......T1 sucks bad, lol
Im staying strong, Yo!

It’s a 300m medium rocket weapon. I believe its only for sale rn $9.99 Oh, a P2W weapon...pass! A weapon which costs $10 sounds more like "support the game" weapon than P2W weapon. At least if you take P2W mean "ante game", ie. pay more than others to have superior stuff. I mean, devs aren't supposed to work for free, creating games... But, I am not very familiar with BoT, so if that is in fact a P2W item in BoT context, then I won't argue more.

From what I read, most of the advice they give is for T3 builds. T2 and T1 builds are different.
The best T3 Manglers are considered to be armed with 2x T3 Magazines and 2x T3 Reinforced Ammunition and this is considered to be the best build as it has the best DPS per cycle (dpsc) - what we know as Cycle DPS. - Roughly, they can do the most damage over time.
T3 Manglers can also be armed with 3x T3 Magazines and 1x T3 Reinforced Ammunition in order to be more forgiving when stripping other bots of their weapons, as it gives you a lot more bullets to work with before reloading.
T3 Manglers with 4x T3 Magazines is considered to be a good Mangler build especially for Cormorants. It has the longest period of firing before needing to reload.

Funny thing....just like the 5% of the playerbase on a forum, the other 95% run builds forumers hate.
The hated Hydra build in the BoT discord is Sting Nelly atm.....before it was Tromentor Corms!
Hide behind enemy on a building or slope, fire at will with homing missiles....as I was having a convo with a couple of folks, a couple more jumped in, alerting me that Sting Nelly was a brainless no skill build the same as most War Robots bots!
Funny stuff, these guys....but, I do not like hide builds, so I switched.....less effective until I get gud, but way more tactics and good times!

Yep.
It's very OP for a new player imo - and super easy to use.
I decided to play with Sting Nelly before they nerf it and I could 1HKO some people without even leaving cover. I could even just keep launching missiles at a Tirpitz from a mountain until it died, while it's unable to hit me back. Some people have so many T3 magazines it makes a giant cloud in the air...
It can also be a boring build with nothing much to do but launch missiles from behind cover every match. I started jumping at people with it (for no good reason as it just let them fire back at me) and saved a Steel Convoy with it once too.
I also ran into people in the upper leagues that could completely block and dodge every last Sting missile I sent.

Running just a Cormorant and Tirpitz at the moment so I don't contribute much to the Death count.

I’m getting the hang of it now, and switched to Tormentors on missile Corm....excellent, 520m range, great to keep reds off guard, lol! Finally had my best battle since shelving my Tirpiz..... And Shon/Mite combo? Damn! Lol, weapon stripping little pests!

I just bought my second T2 Tormentor too. The range on them is really good and they still hurt my Cormorant rather nicely when people shoot me with them.

Discord folks say Tormentors are not good...they do harass well, and work for a support role.......gotta get closer to strip weapons, but I’m liking them atm.
My Tirp may be shelved a long time....running Shon and Mite is more fun than a body should have, lol
Mangler Nelly, all heavy armor and leg armor....man, it rips stuff up....and that Jav is no joke, either!

Yup!
I'm really liking my Light Tirpitz atm (I've got it moving at 37 km/h so far) but I agree it isn't for everyone. We should play bots we enjoy. I'm wanting to sync my Inquisitor and Sarisas better as I try to fire it like a sniper.
I also bought a T2 Ancile shield for Bully just in case a Bully appears on the Black Market.

My Heavy Tirp is very slow but deals tons of damage....however, in BoT, the speed, lil jumps and crazy climbing of Shon and Mite trumps massive damage, lol If War Robots spiders did anything at all like this, that’s all I’d run there, too!

How are you finding the Nodens, xv104 and Koko Bop? Ardent Blitz with Legendary Pilot and Shredders is my own "latest thing", and I've been taking my Ao Ming out for walks more often too. I don’t have one yet...but they are monsters on the field: resistant to damage, oddly quick, they kill fast, and I’ve seen them last a long time when there are bots in healing range. I’ve faced two and teamed with one, and I consider them real threats on the one hand and a real teammate on the other. I’d much rather have one of them than a Ming or an Arthur, and I’d swap my Kid out for it in a hot second. I’ve got over 700 Pt, plus another 700 in Ops waiting for me to buy the pass, and I’m halfway to my third 1k chest...won an Arthur and an antimatter module, hoping the drop Noodles on me with the next one.

So, what is a Vulcan? Must have overlooked this weapon, wasn’t in game when I started....... Also, Koko Bop mentioned custom game....I asked on discord, was told there was no practice rooms/custom match features on BoT. Due to the immaturity and flaming in that discord, I’m trying not to post there anymore.....you guys seem to be advancing quickly! I’m not as deep a gamer, so I’m always behind, lol Vulcan is apparently like a heavy Orkan - currently cash-only, I think, like the Bully. I remember you reported on no customs games, etc: I was looking forward to the 2.6 drop - when customs are scheduled / intended to come on line. As for the discord channels, I can only agree with your assessments of the crowd...I chuckle at the idea of me being a “deep gamer”, though - other than War Robots, and now BoT, the only game I’ve played with any frequency or for any length of time is Angry Birds...and that’s not a deep game. I wouldn’t have gone as deep into War Robots as I did if I hadn’t found this site - in much the same way that you all in this thread have given my BoT enthusiasm enough air to breathe. I might not have gone so deep into this had I not had comrades to learn from and share with. I feel very lucky to be here with y’all...and, reroll, I want you to know I am glad you came back to the forum, you are a presence I enjoy and learn from. Nice cats, too!

It’s a 300m medium rocket weapon. I believe its only for sale rn $9.99 Oh, a P2W weapon...pass! Mangler range is 500, but it seems worse than Puns with spread....my idea was to stay back some and snipe, then land and unload Saristas......but I’ve heard tormentors nerfed....so Corm was nerfed, as Torms range is like Molots. I was confused about Mangler and Torm ranges, too: mangler max at 350, as Parfait said, and Torms max at 520. Other than that, the big difference between the weapons seems to be clip size, Torms go into reload MUCH quicker. And yes, the Torms were howled about for quite a while: apparently Tormentor Nellie was a serious field monster for quite a while, and when they nerfed the Torms, they nerfed them *hard*. Current Torms have been “reworked” according to the 2.5 notes, but I fail to be impressed by them, and I heard hints from Xalthy that the rework didn’t do much, and may be ongoing. I find their short burst, relatively low damage, and susceptibility to being blown off quickly override the value of their range and damage. I can verify that Torm Nelly is not currently a thing I’d use. I’ve tried Torms on Mite, Shon, and Ravager so far, and they’re all in storage now - replaced by manglers and stings (not sure there *are* any other light options TBH)...maybe @ T3 they’ll wake up and do something

Yes, Stings are what they scream about now that Torms have been put away wet...and there’s talk about nerfing *them* now. Personally, as “annoying” as they are, they are at least *effective*. I think that’s important in a weapon, so I hope they DON’T nerf them. I’m kinda charmed that Vulcan is both CHEAP for a new paid item and not impressive (according to reports), and my conclusion is that while EC costs are high for tier jumps, EC is pretty easy to come by; add to that the combination of value and low cost for their booster options, I’m pretty sure free-to-play is viable. Once I get things to T2, I’ll let EC accumulate naturally while I play on. You ARE strong, bro - never doubt it!

As you’ve seen, I sometimes struggle getting into the rhythm of the thing, and I still get low, low, no-payout scores often enough, but there seems to be an edge, over which you (I?) start hitting 4-digit scores more and more frequently - looks like you’re there. Thanks for the report on Torm Corm: excellent to know! Glad to have a present use for ‘em.

Free to Play seems to be fine.
Money just gets you there faster, as well as buys you a M.A.O with a special skin. People are even buying their Vulcans off the Black Market.

I really LOVE the way you bring your research - thank you so much, that’s beautiful! If the logic of the weapon options carries over to other weapons (and it *should*), this should be great aid to our brother reroll as he configures his Corm: seems like 4x mags for the Torms should go a long way to overcome their small capacity...definitely will try that myself. Also, *I* get to completely rethink how I want to stack my upgrades - which I knew I needed to do: you have made that process much more manageable. You are, in fact, “parfait”... This has me thinking over some other related stuff: that fast Ravana stacking I mentioned before - I’m guessing that 4 or 5x <upgrade_type> in any given component system is what makes for OP characteristics; implies that lack of *other* upgrades is what makes the need for special handling on the field. That’s kinda too bad, because now I want to try ALL the combinations & see how they play out in practice. Hope my iPad and I are up to the challenge....?

All we need is more maps and more hangars. I want to run all the bots and builds and I need multiple hangars to do that. Just make hangar selectable at game start like War Robots and only allow one hangar to be played per match.
