That last battle was horrible....S clan death squad in War Robots, lol Had some good games, though! Thanks, guys...I still hate no chat at least in squad que.....and no spectator is bad.... I was wondering how we got that win down 1-7, lol...I didn’t even see we were in the sc mode..... Oh, that was my first go around with Corm...it seems I suck at flying, even went on discord for help, got laughed at. Seems no practice rooms/custom games in BoT...another thing that needs changed. o7 P and KB! I credit the SC win to Parfait: she was on it before I was even aware, all I did was try and keep reds socially isolated long enough. You were already on close support, and I had the flea fleet In play. Kind of glad we were against such high-level play: I was feeling bad about not holding up my end of things, but if we were up against raiders it’s less embarrassing. I think I mentioned before that my first time out with the Corm was humbling...then again, I still feel awkward trying to operate the big things. What’s your handle over there? I didn’t write it down.... Same as War Robots....BuzzSaw

Food for thought...seems like we’ve been up against some actual *teams* tonight. That last match I went nowhere at all: don’t know if I needed the comeuppance but I got it anyway. Hope I wasn’t rude tonight, I have no idea what the dance is when squadding with people you (kinda) know, but thanks for including me. I was playing much better earlier, I promise. Maybe I’ve just had enough for today, late nights catching up w/ me. G’night, y’all They were top 10 players in Battle of Titans, and in the same clan together. Kinda like a Death Squad. @reroll and I faced the exact same players in the previous match. They were using fast Ravagers that I could barely land a hit on. One would shoot me from the front while the other shoots me in the back. They entirely stripped the Heavy weapons off my Cormorant before I could land a hit on them. I'm just learning how to hang out with you both. In the first match I just tried to follow you both around. But in Steel Convoy I tried to get us the win. I was in that battle: we spawned at the corner of D and C...and yes, those fast Ravagers ate right thru *my* Ravager and MAO...no payout for that round! I did the same thing our first outing, wanted to keep y’all in sight, not lose the match for us...and you absolutely DID win the Convoy - if I helped, then yay, but the credit is yours - and Reroll, for protecting you while you did it.

Don't worry about holding up any side with me. I was just happy to play alongside you. We could even just walk around, learn to fly and chill together. (I also have far too many cups for my liking, and am thus very happy with losses too.) Just managed to push out 32k damage and net 2,000 score with my Brawler Cormorant until it went down. I then got into my Tirpitz. So much to learn. I seem to be getting closer to being able to dodge Stings and Javelins now (the Afterburners seem to help a lot). Also learning to hug cover better (even in midair). I did the same thing our first outing, wanted to keep y’all in sight, not lose the match for us...and you absolutely DID win the Convoy - if I helped, then yay, but the credit is yours - and Reroll, for protecting you while you did it. I'm so glad we won it together, as a team.

Still, happy to be there with you and ReRoll, win or lose. Time well-spent!

Yep! And I'm loving Cormorant too. My Cormorant and Mite offset the very slow speed of my Tirpitz. They also give me two chances to grab centre beacon so I can spawn my Tirpitz there and start shooting at close range with full ammo (and save myself the slow walk too). I really like Nelly too, but I can't fit a Nelly and Cormorant in the same hangar as a Tirpitz. Mite is like a mini-Nelly and very easy to keep alive at the end of a match after my Cormorant and Tirpitz are blown up.

Nice. Little Shon can jump every 5 seconds.
I've been using the search feature on Discord to try and find existing information, tips and advice on builds I want to try.

Shon does not jump, but has Mach plus speeds.....Mite is the lil jumper..... I need so much EC to T2 this hangar.....I’m total noob!

You exaggerate, good sir...I’ve only had 94 battles so far....
Fun squadding again with you...I’ve mostly been staying out except for farming expeditions today...north of 5 mill, booster has two more days on it, so squirreling away the EC...probably have 2-3 fully T2 cans soon...maybe more. I *am* learning how this stuff works a bit better: for the folks that are curious but not knowing what to ask, the T2 bots I got in the Market are frames, everything added to them is T1 (and some T2 upgrades I pulled, but I can *only* put those in a T2 frame; if I’m working on a T1 frame, T2 items do not show...ditto on T3 stuff) and remains T1 until I pull the upgrade switch, which can either be by weapon, by subsystem (armor, mobility, circuitry, weaponry), or by individual slot items.
I should be able to bring up another couple frames, or more - with their ‘subsystems’ - by the end of May; and to make sure, I’ll be picking up the 50% upgrade discount booster, which is *cheap* ($5/7 days, $7/14 days). Same for the 75% EC booster.
To update an entire light rig at once is 3,000,000 EC, or half that with the booster; mediums are 6,000,000 / 3,000,000. Haven’t scoped the heavies, but I know it’s another big jump. Even after upgrading, swapping modules is still an option: they just have to be T2/T3 modules, I believe.
Hope this wasn’t tedious for the folks who know it, but it took some digging and some stupid questions to clear it up so like I said, I thought I’d share.
As for those 94 games, one was our Steel Convoy; one was a draw; the others were split evenly between win and loss. In the same period, I’ve not played more than 10-12 War Robots matches, and at this point, I do it for the grind, for the sunk cost so far, and because Nodens is the one thing happening in the game that really interests me, so I’m swinging for it.
Parfait, I believe I discovered the upgrades that go into those fast Ravagers we were having trouble with: 4 heavy armor (yellow), 5 Accelerators, 4 system hardeners (at T3/max). Xalthy says it takes a lot of skill, but it’s ‘got game’ against the competition. Hope you find that interesting, if not useful.
The discord is full of good information, but there’s tons of trash-talk layered in, its kinda hard to go back and catch up, so pointed questions help. I know you guys know this, but there’s probably folks who *won’t* know it yet, so I stick that stuff here, “for those who come after us”.
I’m long-winded, I hope y’all don’t mind me spilling all this, but I’m just delighted to have folks who share my interest. I very much appreciate you, and hope you find some good in this.
O7 to the team!
EDIT: @reroll, I believe you are wrong about Shon: mine absolutely jump like crazy!

Yes...apologies, I finally ran my Shon, and indeed it jumps....and is very fast!
Discord has some trolls...this one, Greyed is being pretty nasty to me......Not worth worrying about, but is kinda a bummer that someone who has played a long time feels the need to try and be some superior 「wee-wee」 head.....
Anyways, hope to catch you guys in game later!

Thank you, Koko Bop . Hope so too, @reroll . Effective builds seem to depend a lot on the player and what they are good at / like using, but things change each update too. What I'm getting is that every bot and upgrade seems good in the right hands, they can become more or less effective with each update. I'm currently focusing on my Tirpitz. There are a lot of T2 bots on the black market I've not bought yet as I'm still saving money. Sarisa Tirpitz seems to be a lot more accurate if I stand still before shooting.

One interesting note...I enjoy flying my Corm, and that bot is accepted much like leech or Goldie, lol....but I’m not doing much damage, helping the team. The general consensus was, before Greyed jumped me, Is Corm really is not a very good bot in game.....I tend to agree, so I shelved it.
Anyways, it could also be I just plain suck at BoT.......
Cya guys!

Anyone else getting positive results with Corm? I'm finding my T2 Heavy Brawler Cormorant to be excellent (lots of speed, armor and firepower). I seem to be getting better at using it too. I'm running Heavy Armors, Afterburners. Weapons, Manglers and Vulcans (Hammers would be the closest equivalent). It pulled off 32,000 damage against a Tirpitz in a recent match. I managed to kill one of the Death Squad Ravagers with my Cormorant when we fought them too, @reroll . But Koko Bop and I faced the same people in the next match and they simply stripped my Cormorant as soon as I landed (I had no weapon armor as I rarely get stripped). My recent 4x T2 Afterburners make it fast enough to dodge Javelins too, but I'm still learning how. I'm finding myself able to dodge Stings by landing and taking flight. This should make it a lot better at killing Sting Nellies. I can do with a lot of improvement using it, but it usually hasn't been great if I'm flying solo into red territory and trying to fight too many reds alone by myself. Meching out fast does let me grind through multiple matches faster though. It's been pretty good at finding, fighting for, escorting and defending the target in Steel Convoy. Puts up a heap of fight. The Vulcans seem to sometimes splash the little bots that Fulgur me too. Lately I try to fly in low, behind cover, trying to dodge all the shots and hide from everyone until I can start firing my Manglers at 350m and drop in with my Vulcans at around 200m. Heavy Cormorant has a lot of firepower (4 guns) and a lot of armor (multiple heavy armors). And it still flies very fast with Heavy Armor. Manglers start working at 350m. Vulcans start working at 300m but are better up close. Hammers start working at 500m but are better up close.

Take note of the source and roll on...there do seem to be some grown-ups, as well as âchildren of all agesâ, as they used to say. Just like anywhere else. No point worrying what others are thinking: typically, they arenât.

It’s also mesmerizing: I see one, and all I want to do is stare up at it...as I’m firing.... surprising how easy it can be to bring down, but it’s not a weak bot. It is clumsy tho. I dispatched one today in Syria. It ducked between 2 buildings and got stuck. Had to put the poor thing out of its misery...(note to self : don’t make that mistake) We’ll definitely have to get some custom game time in, learn the secrets to airborne awesomeness, practice our maneuvers, amaze the crowds with our mechs of prey!

Yes! A T1 Cormorant starts with 5,500 Hull and 4,000 Core armor but I managed to fit 11,100 hull and 6,100 core armor on my T2 Heavy Brawler Cormorant. I'm also wondering if I can block weapons with my Legs, Thrusters and Weapons too. I think that with Heavy Armor they can still be made to be pretty durable compared to other bots, especially as they *can* dodge well while in flight (Afterburners may help). Going by the B.o.T catalog, it seems a T2 Cormorant can fit up to 17,200 armor (5700+4000+1800*3+700*3) between it's core and hull, and a T3 Cormorant can fit up to 21,800 armor (1800*3+700*3+5700+4000). I also want to be like the rare few annoying Cormorants that seem to dodge my shots like nothing. That should also increase my durability until I can land in a good firing position.

How are you finding the Nodens, xv104 and Koko Bop? Ardent Blitz with Legendary Pilot and Shredders is my own "latest thing", and I've been taking my Ao Ming out for walks more often too.

You saw me lurking. Nodens is cool, got mine to level 49, it gets super focused by every AM & Ao Jun. It can't stand in the front of the pack at the moment. It needs to have allies in front of it. In some ways, as vulnerable to being flanked as Arthur is. Satisfying when your team rallies around you though - Nodens seems to have an automatic coordinating effect on the blues. I've run into a few Clive pilots lately, was initially confused by the lack of aegis - need to remember not to waste ammo shooting them during DR...

So, what is a Vulcan? Must have overlooked this weapon, wasn’t in game when I started....... Also, Koko Bop mentioned custom game....I asked on discord, was told there was no practice rooms/custom match features on BoT. Due to the immaturity and flaming in that discord, I’m trying not to post there anymore.....you guys seem to be advancing quickly! I’m not as deep a gamer, so I’m always behind, lol

Custom game and Spectator Mode are planned to be released this month, along with a Mortar weapon. Vulcan is a new weapon, a bit like a 300m rocket shotgun. It might become a normally available weapon after the Mortar is released. It currently costs real money but sometimes appears on the Black Market too.

Mangler range is 500, but it seems worse than Puns with spread....my idea was to stay back some and snipe, then land and unload Saristas......but I’ve heard tormentors nerfed....so Corm was nerfed, as Torms range is like Molots. Flying is so fun, but the thing is fragile...however, I went max speed, so all light armor, afterburners, etc.....and Stealth I have no idea what I’m doing, and interacting on that discord for BoT is brutal....to many basement dwellers there for my taste.....

Vulcan doesn't seem to be P2W as most people think it sucks. It is paid though.
Mangler range is 350m, and they supposedly do really good damage at max range too.
Not sure if you should get closer than 350m while flying as a flying Cormorant has decreased accuracy.
I guess I could try to answer most questions too (even if it's by copy pasting from the Discord).
I've learned most of the best builds from them, but I just do my own thing.
