All we need is more maps and more hangars. I want to run all the bots and builds and I need multiple hangars to do that. Just make hangar selectable at game start like War Robots and only allow one hangar to be played per match. Truth is, with just 2 somewhat similar maps, don’t need multiple hangars.....I have every bot and weapon except the pay RM for ones, not hard to do that for T1.....upgrading, well the grind begins, my friend! T3.....lots of hours of play, maybe RM time. Im going to do my best to be F2P on this one......easier to walk away if needed..... Anyways, that new black market thing makes it easy and cheap to get every bot....Corm was a pay to own bot, now EC gets it...its kinda weak but a rush driving! those little guys, Shon and Mite....must haves! See ya out there!

I feel you on the multiple hangars, foxypotato: I have a full hangar of light bots: three Shon, three Mites; I also have Ravager, Nelly, MAO, and Cormorant...which adds up to 2.33 hangars. I only have 2 Tier 2 bots, again, a Mite and a Shon, so I could pair them up with any two mediums, but the mediums are all T1.... I’ve begun my upgrade process and have discovered a flaw: my 2 T2s now have all T2 upgrades...but for the same price, I could have brought 2 of the mediums to T2 - which would have been the better move. Now, my T2s are maxed until I can take them to T3...and my T1 mediums are stuck until I can raise them to T2. Being able to add T2 upgrades to Ravana and Corm would have been more of a step up, and would have opened the door to further improvement short of T3. I want to take a minute to complain about Nelly, she’s as slow as a Kid - or slower...and unless she gets all accelerators, there doesn’t seem to be much chance for that to change. Currently running jump amplifiers, so jumping is what she does best, but still she’s sluggish and I wish she weren’t. I’m sure practice and familiarity will correct my view over time: Nelly is clearly a fine bot in the right hands, so I get get to make MY hands the right hands Fun squadding again with @reroll, and wow, we hit an actual shutout - blue counted no coup in the entire match. That I never saw before. Low scores are pressuring me to grind some while my EC booster is still in play, so if I decline any invitations, I’m probably doing station-keeping. UPDATE TO ADD: yes, foxy, you can arrange the hangar as you like, and rotate bots in/out. HTH

Nelly is balanced in that it has a lot of hp and 4 light weapons slots. Manglers are brutal in just pairs and 4 is very powerful. The bot can't have the weapon slots and HP it does have and still be fast.

Although not popular on discord for BoT, I’m back to running heavy armor sting Nelly...it rocks!
I will swap to mangler Nelly from time to time, though....if I get a slower guy close, 4 Manglers do a job!
Just like War Robots, any bot in inventory can be set up, ready to swap out...just takes a little while to have that ready. I also have a super heavy Trip....very tough, slower than a base Arthur, lol
Just play around, find your fun....MM is not perfect..Koko and I jot squashed by high level T3 reds, possible a clan on comms....maybe the quickest battle yet. According to the MM chart on discord, that matchup should not be possible....so, death squad games happen, but rarely.
The Corm flyer....man, so fun....little speed demons, lol....too cool.
Ya gotta get someplace good and actually AIM in BoT....so different than the magic show called War Robots.

Although not popular on discord for BoT, I’m back to running heavy armor sting Nelly...it rocks! I loved this build. I also tried using Heavy Anti-HEAT armors to tank against the other Sting campers too. It helped a lot in one Steel Convoy as the reds kept sending their Sting / HEAT weapons at my Nelly tank instead of the other blues, which let us take the victory.

It is big, awkward and slow. The jump helps in mobility but more for evasion and to seek better positioning. It'll beat a Ravenger in the hills but is at a large disadvantage in tight cover such as the city portion of desert. It is as it should be and it is a great bot. I don't have one myself but I think it makes a fine addition to the game.

You can just start doing it from now. You can still buy the T2 (and T3) upgrades off the Black Market despite not having a bot to put them on yet. I get offered a lot of T2 bots on the Black Market, but I'm not sure if it's due to my VIP.

Latest upgrade discovery: it’s cheaper (by more than half) to grab a T2 off the black market than it is to upgrade a T1 the long way. So, rather than resigning myself to the long uphill trudge, I grabbed a T2 Nelly and a T2 Ravager today...and filled all the upgrade slots...using just today’s payouts. All EC. No ads. Boom. Instant upgrade. Better. Those questions who stomped us probably came up cause we were squadding and so were they: that seems to be kind of a loose joint. Still, the matching seems extremely fair to me: my wins and losses are about even, and none of the games have seemed ‘easy’, but even what we had today was nothing like War Robots beatdowns. Just a short intense game.

It’s a bit unnerving picking up bits above a bot’s tier, ‘cause you can’t SEE them until you have the proper frame level, but it works.

Would be nice if it was sorted in logical order though (like T1-T3 ...in alphabetical order?), as having the extra stuff would let us play around and experiment with T1 and T2 builds in the future.

Since starting this game I've bought: • 2x 1mil EC (to rush my starting bots and weapons) • 2x Vulcans (for no good reason) • 1 month VIP (21 days left) • 1 month Premium (22 days left) I'm not sure how much faster these purchases made my hangar grow compared to F2P grinding. Similar: I went through the 500,000 stake for a newb quicker than I expected, and bought 1mil ($5) just to cover; EC income was better than expected, bought a 1-week EC boost ($5); played hard, upgraded my upgrades, bought a 1-week upgrade discount booster ($5) last night. Value received! I could have used that same $15 to buy the Ops pass in War Robots, but.... I added afterburners to my Corm, learning how to fly it p, a little...but: does Corm use it’s heavy weapons during flight? Kinda seems like not.

I'm not sure if I've had a match where I've NOT been bombed to death by at least one Sting Nelly firing from behind cover. It seems they can kill my Cormorant so fast before I can do much.
There are a few hotspots where they often camp together in huge clusters.

I have yet to spend a penny...it just adds up, despite seeming much cheaper than War Robots.....which it is. Drop a hundred, I have a lot going on.
You guys are way ahead of me, but I cycling between 1100-1180 trophies....the next MM cut off for thought matches is 1200.....then 1500 IIRC
No worries...knowing me, it’s just a matter of time before I drop some dough.............

I'm trying to bring my cups down now too. I was just getting bombed to death in the last Steel Convoy. I found and grabbed the target but I couldn't survive long enough to contribute. After they killed me the reds just steamrolled that match, entirely unstoppable. I added afterburners to my Corm, learning how to fly it p, a little...but: does Corm use it’s heavy weapons during flight? Kinda seems like not. No. You have to cancel flight and then wait a bit for your Heavy weapons to unfold before they start firing.

If you cancel your flight when you're high enough, you can start firing your heavy weapons from midair while falling.

After they killed me the reds just steamrolled that match, entirely unstoppable. I confess, I was really only aware of where you were, not of the pressure you were under...but I only had the flea circus, so I focused on keeping fresh reds from getting to you. Was not prepared to step into the middle of that with my paperweight patrol. I *have* been on the receiving end of some serious Nelly-Stinging, tho - hard fast and furious for sure. It caused me to stock up on Stings myself (currently running the stock Torms that came with Nelly T2, ‘cause Torm Nelly was once a thing). Yeah...now I know why Stings are a popular Corm load. Still getting used to them, but I have time. I will remember that when the Corm lands, it’s going to shoot. So, if heavies only come into play on the ground, do you have an opinion on the options for ground action? I don’t really have a read yet on either Hammer or Sarisa.

Just played the 1st match in months. HOLLY CRAP IS IT A DIFFERENT GAME NOW. I did the usual and dropped the Sting Mite on the snow map and went for C becaon already to find it contested along with two other human player Mites dueling it out on the mountain side. I aided the blue one to kill off the red one after capturing the beacon only for C to turn red and 2 Tirpitz to spawn in. I ran circles around them in my 2nd drop Mangler Hammer Ravenger and helped to cut one down before going down. Big mistake thinking a big clumsy heavy Tirpitz is a brawler. It is not. I dropped the Sarisa MAO and killed off the last Tirpitz with splash while it desperately tried to retreat though the mountain pass. I finished the game in the MAO with a Mangler Little One in reserve. Awesome match. It was like there were way more human players now. What changed? Is the game finally taking off?

I was mostly playing with other humans when I just started my new account, and some matches were packed with so many players - which didn't happen the last time I played. My favourite change was that upgrades aren't destroyed anymore, though the EC Cormorant is nice too. (I have heard talk that they may advertise the game soon too.)

My Tirpitz is getting faster: I'm also trying to climb the mountains: Sorry if I miss a Squad Invite. Just keep sending them. I'm about to sleep, though.
