Thanks for the squadding, @reroll & Koko Bop! I loved how your Mite climbed onto my Tirpitz and launched missiles off it's back, @reroll.

Good morning, y’all!
Today is “farming” day (nothing like the ‘grind’ I’m used to!)...I’ve got a couple mites I want to raise tier on today, before my EC boost expires - so I’ll be playing more than (re-)configuring...feel free to hit me up - but I may be refilling my coffee, so gimme a minute if I’m not real quick sometimes.

Just played the 1st match in months. HOLLY CRAP IS IT A DIFFERENT GAME NOW. I did the usual and dropped the Sting Mite on the snow map and went for C becaon already to find it contested along with two other human player Mites dueling it out on the mountain side. I aided the blue one to kill off the red one after capturing the beacon only for C to turn red and 2 Tirpitz to spawn in. I ran circles around them in my 2nd drop Mangler Hammer Ravenger and helped to cut one down before going down. Big mistake thinking a big clumsy heavy Tirpitz is a brawler. It is not. I dropped the Sarisa MAO and killed off the last Tirpitz with splash while it desperately tried to retreat though the mountain pass. I finished the game in the MAO with a Mangler Little One in reserve. Awesome match. It was like there were way more human players now. What changed? Is the game finally taking off? It’s not at all like it was when the game first dropped: there’s *8v8* matches, and ALL human. I was playing yesterday, and there was no queue, match after match after match - I’d just drop right in...and while I *have* seen AI here ‘n’ there, I’d have to say either that the player roster has grown, or a ton of the old disappointed players are coming back (and maybe not disappointed now).... Welcome back, foxy, so glad you’re enjoying it - friend us up, we’ll go chew some bots!

That’s what I’ve been doing I assume it’s the same for t3 stuff. but then that’ll leave so much stuff in your inventory, there’s not a way to sell it is there? Not AFAIK. Would be nice if it was sorted in logical order though (like T1-T3 ...in alphabetical order?), as having the extra stuff would let us play around and experiment with T1 and T2 builds in the future. Having multiples of the different bits is plenty useful: currently I’ve got one Fulgen with all projectors, another with all surge amplifiers. Both my beacon bots are running multiple magazines with reinforced ammo. Each of these is turning out to be highly useful, BTW.... And it turns out that there’s not so much ‘extra’ stuff, as T1 upgrades get converted to T2 - not replaced by them. Xalthy and a bunch of the high-level guys did a 8v8 livestream last night that was real entertaining...apparently it’s a regular Friday thing

If you remove all the weapons / upgrades from every bot and weapon (or equip them with exactly the same setup), they all stack together in the same pile. So, e.g. you'll have a single Mangler T1 with x4 written beside it, instead of 4 seperate Mangler T1s with different load-outs in your inventory.

Been playing again after the update. I have replaced a Mangler Little Shon with a Mangler Mite with heavy HEAT armor to hunt down Sting Mites. I'm also in the process of T2ing my Ravanger and MAO. Those bots have been solid performers since day 1. The Sarisa MAO isprobably my #1 damage dealer.

I’ve been pulling back on my tinies and running MAO and Ravager a lot more.
I’m not as good with these big slow mediums as I am with the lights (not maneuverable), but they are heavy-hitters for sure, and I’m trying to develop a skill or two. As much as I love my little ones, they take a terrible beating the way I play them, and I kill fewer reds than I do my own bots by putting them in overmatched brawls (yes, I send Mangler Mites after Tirpitz and such - hell, I send Shons up the mountainside to attack Nellies)...so, looking for the happy mediums....
I’m trying out Sting Mites, after watching the livestream last night. I have them loaded with Beacons, I think, Sting play needs to be at a distance, so Fulgen doesn’t have a use on those bots. Beacon requires care, it’s not “fire and forget”, where Fulgin is most useful in the clinch, when I’m pouncing.
What do y’all see as the differences between T1 MAO and T2? Each of my T2s performs generally better than the same upgrade matrix @t1, it’s a little hard to define (more robust?), and I’ve been assured on the Discord that the same is true for Corms; MAO is the toughest of my four mediums for me to get a handle on, in terms of its strengths and how to plot my way forward with bolstering them, so if anyone has noticed a tier difference in your MAOs I’d love to hear about it. (Yes, this means T1MAO here - but now with Sarisas!)
(@parfait - yes, Gene Wolfe, “Shadow of the Torturer”, the Black Sun books...thanks for correcting my recollection!)

I do that a lot in War Robots too. I even send my Cormorant into odds like that. I guess we'll improve our skills. And a lot of people do it to my Tirpitz too btw. Many die but some succeed... and some succeed really well. Going by hangar space, 3x Shon/Mite/Bullys = 1x Tirpitz. I’m trying out Sting Mites, after watching the livestream last night. I know it's not the much touted Fulgur, but I love the Beacon and it's steel rain showers. I like to run Beacon on my Sting Mite too. What do y’all see as the differences between T1 MAO and T2? I seem able to flatten some bots with my T2 gear too. @parfait - yes, Gene Wolfe, “Shadow of the Torturer”, the Black Sun books...thanks for correcting my recollection!) Those were the books that inspired me to try cutting hair with a sword (like Severian) and 12-inch tailoring scissors, as well as try driving nails in one hit each strike (with a sledgehammer) like Balanders did. (I also used to love copying the cool fighting moves off cartoons and video games.)

I like my mao with hammers. I’m using a light radar build with all reinforced ammo. Prob the more popular way is heavy emp resist.
MM has to be related to hangar strength. I noticed a player at my rank had 6000 games.

I find the trick to bringing down the big ones isn’t firepower, it’s persistence: just keep hitting them ‘til they’re gone. Different angles, different attacks, keep coming back, hit ‘em again. I don’t always survive taking down a MAO or Ravana, but I do, often enough: I’m seriously impressed by the way these things can carry on, even with core breached, legs gone...just amazing what they can walk away from, victorious.... I was taking down a Tirp this afternoon, just as a match was ending, BTW: scores flashed up, “VICTORY”...I kept shooting, Tirp went down, my score for the match shot up suddenly...interesting thing to know.... But, you’re right: that s how we develop skills “Fulgur”...still getting the name wrong...and despite its showy display, Beacon brings home the bacon, my initial assessment was silly Good to know, thank you. I never tried to cut my hair with a sword: I already knew how hard it was (is) to get that kind of edge on a sword...one-blow nail-driving is more art and leverage than science - and a hard thing to practice, maybe _________ Rags, I saw that you’re in the top 100 @ BoT, dude! Congratulations, and well done! I always thought it was odd that War Robots doesn’t show you game totals, the date you started playing - normal stuff, I would have thought, but never mind. O7

my ign is warlock. add me 378811 Added. Crazy...epic monolith on discord told me he was you.... Hmm. I've been in games with an epicmonolith (written in fancy letters) a few times, and they're currently #66 on the Weekly scoreboard. I played alongside one of the moderators (Hannah) in my last Steel Convoy match too. I only got to explore two thirds of the map before the reds found it on the other third (and won).

It seems our boy @reroll aka greenbanana has left and headed for greener pastures, presumably in BoT. Shoot him a message if you have him added and tell him we miss the catposts.

His in-game name is either changed or deleted...I have no idea how to get in touch with him.

Bummer We squadded together yesterday. I've been doing pretty well with my upgrading so far - my T2 Tirpitz will now cost 36M to T3 (72M without VIP)... which is a lot of EC! I want to T3 my second Sarisa for now ( 5.6M 2.8M), and synchronise both with the T2 Inquisitor (which costs 12M 6M to T3). I managed to get my T2 Tirpitz walking at 43 km/h too! (I think a T3 Tirpitz can be made to walk at up to 57 km/h.)

Now I’m out of EC, so none of those will get any upgrades anytime soon, but 1 Mite and 1Shon are “fully packed”, just waiting for a couple months of relentless saving (only 12,000,000 each w/ the cost reducer) while trying to beef up the big ones. Reroll’s disappearance hit me kinda hard: my family and close friends are all dead, and it’s been hard for me to make friends for a long time. He felt (feels?) like a friend to me, and I’m kinda reeling today. Too many lost friends....

I've been scared to lose something in War Robots if I even miss out on a single day of grinding. I still "need" Arnav Poe from the Special Deliveries, and they cost a lot of Gold to Promote as well.

next update: - Custom games - Spectator mode - Sting range reduced to 350m and accuracy reduced - Tormentors damage increase 10% - Vulcan reduced spread - Bully increase turn speed, shield covers better, can use light weapon instead of shield - Ravager HP increased 6-7%

Since the sting nerf news came in, I’ve made a Quad of T2 Tormentors, running them on my Lil Shon and Mite, just to see how useful they might be in place of the Stings. They’re actually pretty good...but then, I don’t set out to blow weapons off, I am out to put the bot down, and I’ve been able to do that with reasonable speed and grace: somehow managed to shoot down THREE Corms in one game - up from my usual 0-1 - like a dog, howling at the moon...with bullets. One late game, I somehow managed to jump my Mite ONTO a Corm *in flight*...I rode its corpse all the way down...
Anyway, I’m satisfied: one of the taco guys said Torm is being “restored” to where it was before its nerf, and if that’s the case, then Torms will be that much better. My concern for the Stings was range beyond 350m - Torms provide that, so no worries
