I currently have a Shon, a Mite, a Ravager, and a Mao. Not a fan of the Mao. Saving up to replace it.
I just had a cool moment in a Mite where I hung out underneath a rocket nacelle from one of the crashed ships on the snow map, ambushed one of the large spider mechs, stunned with my special, lit him up with my mini guns, then fled to cover. Did it twice and killed him with my remaining gun (he blew one off in the 2nd attack). After that I jumped on top of a Tirpitz and stunned with my special but died shortly afterward after my remaining gun was blown up as a 2Nd Redshowed up.
Fun times. I think this would be way better (and F2P) for Timed Drops.

After that I jumped on top of a Tirpitz and stunned with my special but died shortly afterward after my remaining gun was blown up as a 2Nd Redshowed up. Fun times. I think this would be way better (and F2P) for Timed Drops. Nicely done! With a Tirp the optimal tactic is sneaking from behind, emp, strip both side weapons, then stay under the wing avoiding the Inquisitor shots until you can emp again; then back off and work on stripping the top weapon. Once its off you can safely destroy each leg, then core them. That is a top payout. Lets talk Mite optimization: Armor: either all orange Heavy Light Light (HLL) to strengthen core, or all blue HLL apfs to strengthen that resistance. Leg: All Accelerators (A) Core: Until you are good at hearing and evading enemy light titan emp and taking excessive enemy fire, you should equip all System Hardeners. Once youre better at those, definitely all EM Circuits. The all EMC build helps you recover quickly from an emp attack, which is essential to keeping that titan alive. Shon should also have all EMC for sure. Weapons: best loadout is Mangler Fulgur. Best Mangler mods are Reinforced Ammo x2 Magazine x2 (RRMM), or MMMR for longer unload. Best Fulgur mods for Mite are all EMP Projectors. This increases the range of its effect, allowing you to zap approaching enemies without exposing yourself as much. This is especially important when an enemy Nelly or Mite gets close and often helps you evade a retaliatory emp blast. The Projectors also help you hit enemies when jumping over them. For Shon you can either do all P or all Surge Amps. The SA increases emp effect duration, so target is immobilized longer allowing plenty of time strip them. Most Shon players use SA, I do a mix of both so I get a little more reach and slightly longer duration, which helps me outplay other Shon users only running SA.

Swapped out my MAO for a Nelly. I got tired of getting hit from on top of/behind things by those things. Likewise, I hate the flying mechs. I currently have Manglers mounted. I tried Stings initially.

ѻﻭɼﻉ what’s the philosophy behind choosing armor types? Cant encourage enuf to check discord. Theres a bot basics channel laying everything out. I will give specific example using Nelly. In general, most people dont use medium armors; cant remember why. You typically have two types of build with Nelly - UH (ultra heavy) or UL (ultra light). The common Nelly setups are as follows: UH Mangler: - all heavy armor 3 heat, 2 apfs - all accelerators - all system hardeners UL Mangler Nelly I wont recommend at this time. I do run it but you have to have a lot of experience to survive in it, so go UH for now. UL Sting or Tormentor Nelly: - all light orange armors - all accelerators or all jump capacitors - all system hardeners The idea for the UH is that you can take a beating, but you want more heat than apfs because javelins more easily strike you. The idea behind accelerators on UH is less telegraphing position, better maneuverability. Use MMRR Manglers, and pirate Javelin (RRRR). The idea of UL orange armors is you strengthen your core, since due to agility you are hit less, a higher core hp is optimal for this build. Accelerators are great, but maxed Jump Capacitors will allow you to jump mote frequently. This helps cover more distance, evade lights and enemy fire, get good positioning, and striking while airborne at angles. However, the main drawback to JC is you are jumping a lot and exposing your positioning. With an UH Mangler build, you want to hide from enemy radar as much as possible, and keep checking your surroundings for light enemies, so be careful about when jumping, and position in ways you can strike without jumping and as ambush. The general idea of UL builds on something like a Ravager, is speed and agility means you are hit less. In an UL Nelly, you angle and hide a lot because too much exposure is death, but dang is it super fun. With UH Nelly you can take a beating and remain exposed longer. UL Sting or Tormentor Nelly is a lot of fun because you can reposition quickly and frequently, which is perfect for those weapons. Mangler Nelly is all about ambush, and its great for stripping enemy weapons and disabling legs. On Shon, Ravager, and Mite, you mainly use apfs or orange armor, no green since you never really get hit by Sting or Javelins if you know how to dodge. Last point, to deal with Cormorant, your main priority target should always first be the circular thrusters. Disable that and they cant fly anymore, making them easy prey to harvest.

Jargon assist: MMRR and RRRR? Wut?
I’ve scanned the Discord, but there’s a lot of abbreviations that make no sense to me. Like what’s above. It’s not intuitive to me.
As far as focused targeting. Still getting the hang of it, but it’s really tough on a phone.

Its pretty easy, R is reinforced ammo, M is magazine. See pics Yeah aiming at the thrusters while its in flight is not easy, but it sure is satisfying when it pops and they drop to the ground to walk like a peglegged chicken lmao

You’ll get no disagreements for me about acronyms. I live with them at work. I’m perfectly happy using them, but when you don’t know what they mean, you’re lost. I wish that info you linked was more obviously available. I even went trying to find it on the Discord just now and could not. I found a lot of other stuff, but not that.
Regardless, that’s quite helpful. I appreciate it!

Had a cool situation a moment ago in a match where I was able to sneak up on a Tirpitz with a Shon. I stunned him then took out one+ of his underwing guns with my first attack, retreated to reload, then gook out his second underwing gun. Unfortunately, I got interrupted and had to set down the phone. Died.
On the downside, there was what looks like a blue tanker. Only dropped 1 mech and it died. Very low score.

Gotta get used to people dropping out, its normal unfortunately, but also know the app is well known to sometimes close, send player to hangar, or trap them in selection mode not allowing titan drop, so it def isnt just people quitting. As for stripping the Tirp side weapons, your Mangler need to be MMR, or at t3 MMRR or MMMR, because def you should have enough ammo to strip Tirps both side weapons and even do damage to the top weapon, then take top weapon in next pass. That is how your Manglers can ideally perform in that situation

Wasn’t perfect, but it’s a start. I found a few things to do differently in the future, but the basics are there.

Looks interesting for sure. I honestly think if I do put War Robots down I will take a break. I never have been a big gamer, War Robots was literally the only real game I have played in many many yrs. Guess thats one of the reasons I am barely holding on and clinging to it since its familiar. Frustrating as all hell, but familiar.

Just sayin

Another thing you can do close quarters such as with that initial Cormorant, is strip weapons then get really close to it moving in a circling around it away from weapons sights while your Fulgur reloads.

i can see why they have the bigger fields of play, makes it more methodical and strategic. still looks cool. It is very dynamic and strategic, but as you know in Dom mode or enemy controlled BR mode in War Robots, there are a couple downsides to these massive maps. 1) If the enemy controls 3 zones, this forces your team to spawn in home drop-zones. Disadvantages of this include spawn raid, or being very far from active skirmishes. 2) Fast titans have some advantages, but a huge issue with such mobility in particular is that when your team has taken out an entire team except one player, if that player is prone to getting butthurt or likes to troll, instead of just fighting or dying and letting the match be overwith, these 「fluffernutter」ers will play hide n seek or run away playing cat n mouse from sometimes over 2min lmao, 「multiple bum-bums」 In War Robots I wasnât a big fan of the larger maps much, but their terrain is also quite bland compared to the realism of BoT terrain. Because of this very quality I really enjoy the complexity of the maps. It does get a bit tedious sometimes only having two maps, in which case you just take a little break, but there is a lot to learn tactically about all the complexities of the maps. A lot of fun, especially in the spiders.

Nice to see this thread picking up some steam. I've had this game for a long time but have used it sporadically over the years. I just had too much vested in War Robots. Now that I've dropped War Robots completely I've started running BoT again. The game is pretty static (very few updates) but if you sick of the ENDLESS and TERRIBLE updates that is War Robots this is a breath of fresh air. The mechanics and abilities of the bots are much more grounded with largely Machine Guns, Rifles and Rockets. It feels real. The other thing that is super nice is the bot specific abilities are very "real." When your in a Shon you are lighting fast but VERY fragile. Flying a Cormorant really takes some skill and attention (flight plus weapons.) Then there are the spiders (I run a Mite and Nelly)... climbing walls... hanging upside down or shooting from the side of a derelict ship... so fun. I'm running: Nelly (T2) with Manglers in back Javelin. Cormorant (T2) with Hammer and Tormentor in back Javelin. Little Shon (T2) with Manglers and Beacon. Mite (T2) with Manglers and Fulgur (EMP.) Still sorting through the intricacies of weapons, armor, circuits and bot mechanics but it's fun. I find the matchmaking to be pretty reasonable even with a 30-40 second wait for a game. Highly recommend this game to kill some time and get your bot killing fix. I'll add that this game is easily free to play. It is not hard to grind through basic upgrades to get to T2. They do have a VIP where you get reduced cost for upgrades and more currency in battle but advertisements (videos) are non existent and the requests to join VIP are not obnoxious. They have a simple Black Market where you can get upgrades at reduced currency cost.

Just fired up BoT after our power came back on. You know how many button pushes I had to cycle through to get into a battle?
Just one.
*boop!* That was it. Queued up.
How refreshing.

I recently got into BoT and wow! That game really great and fun, but I do have some concerns: - When I open the app, I immediately go to my hangar menu ready to play. Why not bombard me with dozens of adverts? I need at least 10 minutes of adverts before I'm ready to play!
- During matches, I largely perform based on my skill level. I guess that's okay, but how is someone with zero skill and unlimited money supposed to win on such a level playing field?
- The hangar slot system provides me with large strategic decisions concerning how to develop my team. Do I use a few big and powerful titans, lots of little ones, or some balance between those? How am I supposed to curb-stomp other players with such a system?
- Every weapon in BoT seems to be balanced. So I can't just buy power? 「whiskey tango foxtrot」!?

Either that or General Disarray was just 「fluffernutter」ing with people in chat, but he is not one to joke about things like this Is it still just the lone dev or is there a team now? Frankly, even way back the dev team was oddly always quite tight lipped, so there really is no certain information about how many people work for Red Button. All I heard was Sergey is in Canada now and working on an update
