I'm trying to make a small list of weapon setups using the information found in the B.o.T Simulator:
A = T3 Automation F = T3 Feeding Gear M = T3 Magazine R = T3 Reinforced Ammunition W = T3 Weapon Armor
dpsc = damage per second per cycle (aka cycle DPS)
Inquisitor:MRRR = 906 dpsc FFFR = 811 dpsc MMRR = 859 dpsc FFRR = 803 dpsc FMRR = 845 dpsc FRRR = 797 dpsc FFFF = 825 dpsc RRRR = 792 dpsc
Sarisa:
MRRR = 547 dpsc FRRR = 525 dpsc FFFF = 534 dpsc RRRR = 524 dpsc FFFR = 530 dpsc FMRR = 520 dpsc FFRR = 527 dpsc MMRR = 517 dpsc
Mangler:
MMRR = 516 dpsc, 5152 damage in 4.58s w/ 5.4s reload MRRR = 509 dpsc, 4544 damage in 3.53s w/ 5.4s reload MMMR = 492 dpsc, 5424 damage in 5.63s w/ 5.4s reload FMRR = 492 dpsc FMMR = 484 dpsc AMMR = 474 dpsc AMRR = 472 dpsc FFMR = 472 dpsc RRRR = 457 dpsc FFFF = 447 dpsc, 2000 damage in 2.48s w/ 2.0s reload MMMM = 444 dpsc, 5360 damage in 6.68s w/ 5.4s reload AAAA = 290 dpsc, 2000 damage in 1.49s w/ 5.4s reload
Hammer:
MRRR = 378 dpsc FMRR = 367 dpsc MMRR = 376 dpsc FFFF = 358 dpsc AMRR = 371 dpsc AFMR = 357 dpsc AMMR = 369 dpsc MMMR = 354 dpsc
Javelin:
FFFF = 213 dpsc RRRR = 189 dpsc FFFR = 202 dpsc FFRR = 196 dpsc FRRR = 192 dpsc
Beacon: MMMR = 52 dpsc FFFF = 48 dpsc MMRR = 52 dpsc MMMM = 51 dpsc RRRR = 48 dpsc

Shouldn't have started playing BOT. Way back, I played it in beta for a while and forgot about it. Now I'm kinda hooked.
When looking again at War Robots, War Robots looks like a childish game where some bots have super powers and others haven't. Have played 100? BOT matches now in a few days and haven't logged into War Robots for a week or so. Given the tactical finesse I experience playing BOT, it's doubtful at the moment that I'll return to War Robots anytime soon. Even small things like have two fat bots in your hangar or up to six small ones are just great and the customization options, movement of bots, graphics, smoothness, it's just brilliant.

It's been a lot of fun for me too, [CK]erazor. ^_^ (Though my competitive side is having me grind out Top equipment a lot faster than I should.) I just got a Weapon Armor for my Bully's Vulcan off the Black Market. The T3 Weapon Armor gives it 3050 HP instead of 2900 for a T2 Weapon Armor, which is... only a 5.17% improvement - 150 HP for 750K EC, or 4M EC to upgrade a T2 Weapon Armor to T3 without VIP.

Having had much the same reaction, I confess I now look @ War Robots as “the LEGO version”. No real comparison between them. That said, I had the best run of games in War Robots today that I have had in weeks, so credit where it’s due...since it’s due Welcome to the ranks! Pilot #508549

I just fully T3'd my first weapon! Yay! ^_^ YAY! I did, too...sorta: had a T3 Mangler show up in a market drop - I had to get it! Sooo much cheaper than doing it the long way. Don’t know that it’s made a difference in the field as such, but often surprised at the shifts in performance that switching upgrades can produce. Like you, I’m rolling thru the options, seeing what I like: like, reducing reload time...great for Beacon and Fulger (and of course, Sting-monsters depend on it). But...a T3 Inquisitor? That’s got to be a one-shot wrecking crew all by itself

Tried BoT first time yesterday. A bit confusing still. Where exactly are the beacons? Why can you hardly see the enemy? Just a tiny spec, that's it (what the hell is it you are shooting at, just a little pixel?). The whole upgrading of bots&weapons&armor/menu structure is very very "user-unfriendly". Will try a few more games though.
So far, War Robots seems way better, but that's possibly because I know War Robots, and still struggle to learn BoT.

I’d recommend at least only play BoT for a solid week before writing it off. The discord server is helpful to read through. If you have any specific question you can ask there or in this thread.

Will try a few more games though. So far, War Robots seems way better, but that's possibly because I know War Robots, and still struggle to learn BoT. You’ve just described why and how I came to drop it back afterw the initial release. First, I can tell you that the beacons aren’t point-worthy: capturing them provides a tactical advantage but doesn’t affect the score. ‘E’ beacon is always in the middle. E, C, and D can all be captured. The opening drop screen, where it counts down, will show you two blue drop-points; the red drop-points will be on the opposite side of that displayed map. On the desert map, there’s just left and right ends; on the arctic map, if blue spawns on either side of the bottom end, red will spawn on either side of the top end. If blue spawns on one side of the map, red will spawn caddycorner to them. When you drop, hightail it to the closest dark beacon and try to capture it (you’ll probably have to fight for it). When you put yuor crosshairs on that little dot, the range to that target should show up right below: your weapons have range, so you may not be able to hit it...but it might be able to hit you...so don’t stand out in the open, wondering: reds will show up in your UI as red spots, a little triangle is a light bot, a solid dot is a medium bot, an X indicates a Tirpitz (very large, well-armed, well-armored - and very slow, mostly). Each class of bots has specialties: lights are fast and can jump, Mite can climb; mediums can RUN as well as walk, is more heavily armored than the lights, carry heavier weapons; Tirpitz has the heaviest arms, can’t run or even maneuver much, lowest mobility. What I did was grab a couple of lights, learned what to avoid, learned how to use the run, jump, climb, learned how to survive; after a few days/week, I started adding one of the mediums to the hangar. There IS definitely a learning curve, but it’s not hard to adjust. After three days, I play BoT heavily for 7-10 days: stopped getting destroyed so fast, then started to get good damage, started to score better.... Maybe the biggest thing is not to expect BoT to be like War Robots: they may have been designed and coded by the same folks, but they made some different choices this time...one of them is a more realistic field and range of view. The screen moves up and down, as well as side-to-side, so learn how not to lose your aiming point! See if any of that helps... On the upgrading, etc - I found that bewildering at first, too, but it’s really much better, it offers you far more control over your bots’ resistance, armament, protection, etc. overall, I’d say don’t worry about it, it will come clear as you get more familiar with it. Backpacks: there are special weapons, known collectively as backpacks. Currently there are three - two for lights and one for mediums. Light backpacks are Beacon, which calls down a bombardment from orbit (requires that you maintain line-of-sight) and Fulgur, which is an EMP device that will ‘freeze’ a bot that’s in range. The medium is a guided missile launcher, Javelin. All have upgrades available for augmentation. Javelin is not accurate when the target is too close; Fulgur *needs* the enemy bot to be ‘in range’; beacon really does require you maintain line of sight to the *target* - not the red dot indicating its position... BOT has a terrific Discord channel, lots of information about the game, real active user participation, and the company, Red Button, is also active. Great resource - there’s an access link to it on the Fandom.freeforum page, so you can go to the wiki, search for battle of Titans, and Bob’s your uncle

Weird thing is, after 3 weeks playing BoT almost exclusively, I find I’m much more effective in War Robots...and yes, by comparison, War Robots is cartoonish Played about 10 War Robots matches yesterday and today. Well, yeah, it's alright, but still either you get steam rolled or you're the steam roller. And I have to say, I really don't miss things like Phase Shift or Titans which blast from 600m or Leech or [endless list here]. What do you mean more effective? From my point of view, you don't matter in a War Robots match, as the match maker decides the outcome of the match, before the match even has started.

“More effective” meaning I have been in fewer games where I mech-out in the first two minutes, fewer games where the reds control the field from first drop. I have no reason to assume anything has changed on the Pix side, so getting 9 kills in a 7-minute game, some decent honor points, relatively decent Ag is as likely to be improved play on my part as anything else.
Going from one decent game in five to seven decent games in ten *might* be due to anything...but I feel like I’m being more effective for my team and against the reds. Maybe not, but....

I'm currently in the top 10 of the 6 day left ranking, no idea how that is called correctly.
6th. 「fluffernutter」ING PROUD of that as you rank down very fast if you lose one match.
BoT is truly about skill. Sneakery. Outsmarting. Backstabbing. Patience. Hit and Run. God, that's a friggin good game.
