Craft vs Brawn! I tell you one thing, those red Ao Ming pilots do not want to ditch their $1200 bots, plenty of games where they let my loki take those beacons behind them. There could be 3 red mings up, and they will not ditch lol. This one we were down huge on castle, with a goon ming holding everyone down, and we had two lokis running around late pressing beacons and in the final 20 secs grabbed four beacons and watched that red lead just shrink away in seconds

Why should they ditch? To pull up another bot? What if they were outta bots or didn't have the armament to deal with those sneaky lil Loki? My most successful bot against the wee gremlins is whichever I have left with shotguns.

As said by others, they throw their Ming as soon as possible. Usually by 3rd bot.

They don’t need to ditch, they can just disengage flight and stand in the beacon.
One reason they may ignore Loki is that a Ming pilot is not actually picking up the Loki on radar.
But as someone who also runs Loki, it is definitely true that many Ming pilots will just stay afloat and ignore. I believe this is mainly because they just want to get as much damage as possible and hope to mech the enemy team.

Definitely depends on the situation, but its similar to long range set ups, depending how the beacons are going you might need to ditch to clear out whatever is swinging the outcome of the game

The next $$$$$$$ maker will be active modules for Titans.....Quantum Radar the little Loki, boom! gone, lol
Anyways, I am seeing many Loki’s doing what they do of late, so not a bad plan. I spent a chunk of a couple of matches this morning chasing them in my Phantom, which could only keep up during ability.....the fun one was red Loki running behind the big building between spawn beacons on Yam, with me holding the beacons and chasing Loki off, getting in shots........no Quantum Radar, of course, lol......finally took him down, then the same player dropped another Loki! Rinse and repeat.
Good times! Seriously considering producing one of those little nuisances!

The best is getting launched by a red Arthur off a beacon. if you position it right he might send you to another red beacon Definitely a pest or a flea of War Robots

Oh! That didn't even occur to me. Ming isn't nearly as fun as my Ravens so he's the last to appear. The one exception is if red starts dropping Kids and Arthurs. Then I'll drop Ming early in an attempt to level the playing field. Why should they ditch? To pull up another bot? What if they were outta bots or didn't have the armament to deal with those sneaky lil Loki? I really do believe if Pix stops this junk, and makes the game fun again their profits would skyrocket!

Agreed. Even so, I don't have many successful encounters (unto its death!) against Loki while flying, or even standing. Loki is either stealthed, hiding behind/under something, the lil bugger's moving too fast or the angle isn't right for lumbering Ming. Grr! Is there some tactic I'm missing out on?? They don’t need to ditch, they can just disengage flight and stand in the beacon. One reason they may ignore Loki is that a Ming pilot is not actually picking up the Loki on radar. Indeed! I'll get a Loki at some point. They do looking annoyingly fun as hell! And... when piloted right, highly effective at more than just capping beacons. The next $$$$$$$ maker will be active modules for Titans.....Quantum Radar the little Loki, boom! gone, lol Anyways, I am seeing many Loki’s doing what they do of late, so not a bad plan. Also, I find if I drop down on a beacon, the Loki will feel comfortable opening fire, so I just pop em, though the face to face is a bit more difficult. When I am in Ming I watch the battlefield very carefully for Lokis and make sure I stay relatively close to be of our beacons.

I prefer the Rime setup.
You can burst tons of damage while the AM is unaware, by the time the turn around to find you you activate stealth.

They don’t need to ditch, they can just disengage flight and stand in the beacon. if a loki can keep one of the most powerful weapons grounded on a beacon, i would say that's a plus. also lets those blues close in on that ming that was staying out of range. lets just sit and chat for a bit

There was one guy my friend and I hit 3 matches in a row that brought out Ming early and leveled the field. I went solo next match and again he was there, so I took Loki to the beacon underneath him and he dropped and stood there to prevent me taking the beacon. My purpose wasn’t to take the beacon. I did turn it white, then stood there preventing him from turning it red, and he stayed grounded while the rest of my team took all the other beacons (on Canyon).

Loki was a bot that I would never ever had considered to run as it just doesn't suit my style. After losing so many close games to the Minge, I am finally building 1 in the workshop.
Loki pilots, can you tell me if an Igniter mounted on a Phantom or Mender will hit you?

Loki pilots, can you tell me if an Igniter mounted on a Phantom or Mender will hit you? Just about everything can nick you a little at time, but you can just keep dancing in front of them to avoid a majority of the damage. I had a phantom spend a good three minutes trying to hit me with one rime and one gust, think his third weapon was a scourge. The one that is the deadliest foe is the shotgun blitz, run the other way if you see one of those lol

I have one more Titan spot to fill... I got three Kids and one Arthur. I was thinking about saving up for a Ming... BUTTTTT I think I will just get another Arthur, instead.
Im finding in Expert and working on the right time to Drop a Titan in to HOLD beacons rather than to grab. Arthur does a decent job vs. a standard Ming...

I find Ao Ming a lot of fun to pilot and it was for a time my favourite and most fun bot to play.

My iOS account is level 28 so no Titan for me. To help counter the red Titans and other high power bots I use a Natasha with Calamity and Zeus, both around lvl 1.7. Also a Marquess and a Stellar Halo. He does lots of damage to Titans, making it easier for blues to finish it off. Then there's my Leo with Exodus and 3xPinatas that can deliver decent damage in seconds. He helps against Titans also or any close in fight. Still, I cant wait for player lvl 30. It will make a big difference having even a Kid. Im in gold lvl 1 btw. Gold lvl 2 was much easier, in gold 1 I get many Titans, Leeches etc.

I am not worried about machine gun Ming's. I take them with my Ao Jun or buly. Plasma ones is another story. They need team effort: at least one distractor and a flanker.
