Loki was a bot that I would never ever had considered to run as it just doesn't suit my style. After losing so many close games to the Minge, I am finally building 1 in the workshop. Loki pilots, can you tell me if an Igniter mounted on a Phantom or Mender will hit you? Phantoms and Leeches are ubiquitous, and both can easily hit you. Leeches with shotguns or ingniters as lower weapons will hurt you bad. Been on both the giving and receiving end of the thing. Menders, spiders, blitz can hurt you too, of course, but there are not so many of them out there anymore (at least on steam), and they are just not that fast. Quantum Radar ao juns may just ignore you while they go about ctheir usual business: max damage/kills. But yeah: igniters will hit you. A 4xigniter leech is also a good counter for the ao ming and other titans... providing the ming is within range and you manage to survive long enough xD |

Having said that, when there's 5 mings in the sky you're as safe as houses. |

So many phantoms running around, they will take you out fast. I don’t know how far you are into your build but if not too far consider building phantom instead. I easily avoid Ming fire with phantom. |

I'm running 2 Phantoms at the moment in mid Champions League. The plan is for Loki to come in late in the game, usually when the Phantoms have been and gone and are being replaced with Minges. |

My Leadhose/Shredder Arachnid Invader seems good vs Lokis but Yang Lee is the best counter I have.
They often counter Quantum Radar with Phase Shift.

 This should have been good but I guess there were too many Ao Mings in the sky. They fired off many Tempest rounds as my Fenrir defended them with Aegis, armor and firepower, until we were cornered and they were finally backstabbed to death. |

Just about everything can nick you a little at time, but you can just keep dancing in front of them to avoid a majority of the damage. I had a phantom spend a good three minutes trying to hit me with one rime and one gust, think his third weapon was a scourge. The one that is the deadliest foe is the shotgun blitz, run the other way if you see one of those lol I've done in plenty with a leadhose Mender as well. I'd think that anything besides the auto aim weapons would also work well on the Mender. Flames, rockets, plasma, shotties...

Today: Loki, 11 beacons, FTW!
3rd or 4th bot. Many AMs in the air on Carrier. Loki is a vicious assassin when the timing and Red bot is right. I don't know what a maxed Loki costs but it's less than a Maxed AM. 1 x 1.10 Rime, 2 x 2.12 Halo
Road Hog / Adamant Road Hog a must. When AHR kicks in you fa-lyyyyyyyyy!

I just posted this on another thread, but my Loki got obliterated by an AM this morning and yes I was in stealth! It was like he had Quantum Radar! At first, he was on the ground and I tapped around him being the taunter I am, but then he lifted off and all his guns stayed targetted on 'me' which resulted in my poor Loki getting turned to scrap. Before the QA rolls in, here is what I know: we were the only 2 bots around as it was nearing the end of the match. Yes, I was in stealth mode but pretty weak on hp and missing a halo. Unfortunately, I didn't get a screen shot or video. Has anyone else encountered an AM running Quantum Radar?

It's possible, but my beef is how could he even aim in my general direction while he's in the air? I could understand if he was on the ground and I was at a different elevation - I catch stray fire like that all the time but this was different? I didn't think you could be in the air and still track stealthed targets - I know I can't in my Nightingale

my current strategy with plasma ming is
a) get out of its range and go for beacons
b) get my arthur to confront it.

I have a Bully with x2 Tempest. It is very effective in dealing with the big dragon. Use the shield, run from cover to cover...try and stay out of range of big birds guns.
It may take a few salvos to take them out and a little help from my friends is always welcome, but in the end more often then not I get to see them fall out of the sky.  |
