The Chinese community manager from Pixonic just confirmed that they will not release shieldbreak module due to huge amount of negative feedback on test server, and they won't nerf Ares either. Don't know how they are going to balance the game...  P.S. Lana Taraday is the Chinese community manager, and she also stated that they are not going to nerf Ares in the comment section. |

I find that extremely hard to believe. Hmmm maybe they are planning to launch a better shieldbreaker into the live server without "majority of the players" disagreeing. I'll like to see their next move.

It would be better if it (shieldbreaker) "disrupts" the shield instead of taking it down fully. ie. making it flicker on and off for x secs, thereby allowing a y amount of damage through.

I think that shield breaker should work as a quantum radar. It means you can five sec penetrate Ares shield but not disable.

If they don’t nerf it, the player base will indeed continue to collapse. An ares is an implicit nerf to everything else. So the excuse not to nerf content is totally bogus. Watching them wiggle is quite satisfactory tho. |

If you start a new dummy account you can see how many discounted offers are being pushed to you up to level 28 account. The lower leagues are crazy Pay 2 Win now. You can see Haechis, Pursuers, Falcons or Inquisitors clubbing baby seal Destriers, Cossacks, Gareths and Gepards. It's crazy unbalanced environment in Bronze, Silver and Gold leagues. |

And as one who has started several smurf accounts: It's no fun at all if you don't spend at least a few bucks. Game #11 is your Destrier against Leos and Natashas. No wonder the player base is collapsing, if you push f2p players out of the door. |

Break the Ares shield to like Bulwark Aegis sound better than disable the shield instantly. It will be the biggest nerf to any items in War Robots history, making Ares worst than Heachi or Bulgasari instantly.
Quantum Radar-
will give Ao Jun 2 secs reaction time before attacking
only 5 secs attacking time for "Quantum Radar user only".
SB-
will give Ares 0 Sec reaction time before attacking
diabble shield for full 8 secs that "Everyone can attack".
Quantum Radar will not make Ao Jun Trash.
SB will make Ares Trash.

I sold my everything just because they took such a dishonest way to nerf ares and now they are saying no nerf for ares at all
I dont regret but I feel like someone giving me a middle finger. At least now I have my time for my 5 stalker hangar project.

What about making a module that will turn any shield into absorber shield for x sec for only 50 pc? I think it will be very popular among Bulwart, Haechi and Blitz pilots, um I mean commanders.

The shield breaker was all wrong. I, and I'm sure others, told them on TS feedback that it was a nerf to too many other bots to try an indirectly the nerf the ares with SB'er.
If the plan is to nerf it, then they just need to sack up and nerf it directly. Beating around the bush is only gonna piss off more folks.

My test server feedback regarding shield breaker was to not release it. The concept should be scaled the same as quantum radar is to stealth. That will prove to be difficult, we have bots with infinite stealth, so i think it will take them more time to figure it out. In other words, quantum radar does not allow us to remove stealth, and the duration we can shoot the opponent is a small fraction of the duration of their stealth. What this means is they can often remain stealthed after quantum radar ends. It is not a death sentence. The spectrum of how shields work on different bots in terms of their duration make this even more complicated

Just like how bot gets rooted or suppressed, that yellow or red “netting”. Do it for absorber shield. Net it around Ares. That’s all. |

My youngest son is in Silver II. I was playing a bit in his account the other day and saw an Ares in one match and an Ao Jun in another. This is the same league where some blue in a Gepard was following me around shooting me for all it was worth. |

Don't know how they are going to balance the game... Balance has not been the goal like... ever? Maybe in 2015 briefly? What you mean to ask is, how are they going to unbreak the game after Ares train? But is the game really more broken than in the TT Fury era, or Ancilot era, or Dash era, or Shocktrain era? They will solve the Ares train simply by releasing new bots which are better, so players will want to run those instead of Ares. |

Or they make it like death mark - pick/mark one bot/shield (vs all you may hit) and all blues can pass through that shield for short period of time vs knock it down till next cycle.
I still say it’s all BS - pay to fix their imbalance. Just nerf it and be done with it. I own an Aries and I approve this message.

I personally think we, as a community should boycott until they do something. This will never happen for the same reason the shieldbreaker wont go live. The pay to win base (the only ones who mean anything to pix) wont allow it. This leaves the begrudging pay players, myself included, frustrated and angry because we cant compete against the Ares but stuck in a game that blows badonkadonk because we have what we (me) consider to be a decent amount invested. There are enough players registered on these boards that if we got together we could make an impact. Just need to get some P2W players on board and we are golden.

But the 2nd iteration had a positive response from what I hear, delete's Absorbers and only does extra damage to Aegis and Ancile, I was pretty okay with that.
