I'm running roadhog on my STRIDER and it still seems super slow running...dash is shorter (unless you catch a superdash)...If I weren't running BATTLE BORN, he'd be just about untenable as a first drop bot. I'm not a "cyber ninja" with him (even when he wasn't "semi-nerfed") so you experts with him probably won't see as many issues as I do. From what I understand, Strider is just one of numerous speedy bots that has been RECLUSTERED to disappointing levels. Whether or not this gets fixed or Pix already “fixed” it remains to be seen. From my perspective: shortened dash speed bump at the end of many of my dashes (although change in new terrain may factor into my perception of this) overall slower and rougher ride curiously I am catching super dashes off ledges more frequently than before WHOA... sudden readjustment... My STRIDER is running better and dashing smoother/longer...just about where it was before...I like it, but what gives?

My calamity, gust strider works really well too. You guys/gals should try it out. Thunder/gust with overdrive works really well too.

My strider with calamity/gust with overdrive works really well and thunder/gust with overdrive works really well too. A relly noice trick to master is that on the Castle map, you can dash towards the bridge that has a second level and actually dash onto the platform underneath. This can give the beacon/ambush advantage. But SOMETIMES you miss the platform and..... yeah. It takes about 4-5 dashes to get to the platfrom without falling. This technique also works with hove or other fly robots by falling and then using the ability to fly back up and fly/hover onto the platform. Goodluck!

I liked the calamity gust build when I used it... it was wierd but worked suprisingly well. I only used it until I had the stuff those weapons would go on ready (and the weps for strider ready) but during that time I came to love the build. My favorite thing was letting the calamity lock onto someone and then turn so it would hit the while my gusts hit someone else. I got quite a few double kills like this and it was always funny.

So, I finished building my little track star last night. As of this morning he looks like this. I’m currently in Master 2 where I can experiment a bit (when not getting creamed by the dead squads). Managed to get some kills, survive just under 5 minutes on Carrier (while getting 3 bacons), and even do a super dash on Castle map. Unfortunately, that super dash was unintentional and not oriented for success. Guess who needs to practice that sort of thing?

Why does Pixonic spell rampage spelled with a W? The only thing I can think of is that the first two letters are "War Robots."

So I'm getting the hang of Suckerpunching. I had these streaks in the same game last night with my lone Strider.
Here is my current setup.
Anticontrol is level 1 and my Last Stand is level 2.
I'm building my first Rime (complete tomorrow) so the Blazes are it for now. I'm considering keeping the Blazes, though. Much as I'd like to dash in/out of conflict, I find that I occasionally get ambushed by 2+ mechs. Having guns with different recharges has been beneficial in those situations. Thoughts/suggestions?
Here are the skills I have for the pilot.
Other than possibly investing in Master Gunsmith or a light-specific skill, is there anything incredibly glaring that I'm missing?

Poopface you have fused with SuckerPunch after just a couple weeks in your new Strider? 😂😂✌️🤷♂️maybe......perhaps?.......I dunno, its been awhile since Ive experienced the initial fusing. Im pretty much hardwired at this point. just remember that Strider can be played MANY different ways with MANY different builds. Your pilot skills look good although Im not a fan of any weapons gunsmith, Id rather trick out the bot first with as much speed and armor it can carry, that way I can change up my builds and experiment with different play styles with confidence. There is no ceiling, potential is only as limited as your skills, abilities and imagination.

Im pretty much hardwired at this point. I don't know. Maybe? Perhaps? Here's a shot I got from the next match than the one I showed above.
Some matches I get 3+ kills, some I get annihilated. Hard to say how much is due to my making mistakes vs the often spotty MM.

There is no ceiling, potential is only as limited as your skills, abilities and imagination. I agree with your general sentiment. When I rolled the Glacier skill as I did (random), I decided I was just going to leave it on there. I have another Glacier that's been languishing at 1/1 and never plan to try to pair them up. I deliberately rolled past specific skills for the lights a few times because I'm not convinced I'm going to stick with them. They're extremely expensive to upgrade, for one thing.

How do you find the Devastator is on a Strider? On one hand, I could see it doing great. On the other, by being that close all the time I could see there being difficulties in disengaging if a 2nd (or 3rd) opponent got in close.

Good question as I just won a lone Devastator as a not so Special prize and curious of it as a single weapon. EDIT- it’s pretty hard to find a heavy that can stand alone, currently I use Exodus on my Strider that’s only used for Beacon task on events but he’s slowly getting leveled to be more useful such as a hanger for Carrier and that newer map that I can’t remember that isn’t used any longer

I think my Strider is the first bot I tool to 2.12. Also, it has my only BB mod (maxed) and Inv Raider, so first encounter is often w 43% DR. Oh, and a Jump mod and drone w +10% Mod Intensifier. But with all that said, I haven’t committed to leveling up the Devastator yet. Lots of stuff gets to 1.9, not much goes past that. And atm, my 2nd Mk2 Falcon really wants 3 highly leveled Nucleons. The fancy new BM Nuc is baking to 1.9 now,

That’s the plan!
It was a toss-up between leveling up the Rime more or working to MK2 the Strider. I decided to go for the Strider because I can get a lot more usefulness from a 2/4 Strider than a, say, 1/11 Rime.
