Welcome to the Foundation’s thread in the War Robots Forum.
The SuckerPunch Foundation (SPF) is a collective Strider pilot hive mind, born from the cybernetic fusion of human pilots and the onboard A.i. system of the Strider mech. It has, since the inception of this mech, in reality been a self-aware spastic A.i. named ‘SuckerPunch’ that only fuses with spastic pilots obsessed with speed and the use of tactical uncertainty to confuse targets. SPF recognizes two classifications of Strider pilot: Ninja, and Neophyte. The difference between the two is the former have achieved fusion with the A.i. SuckerPunch, or Cybernetic Mech Synergy (CMS) , while the latter have been deemed incompatible for fusion.
If you are a Strider Ninja, it is possible that due to complications during CMS, you are unaware the true source of your spastic Strider abilities comes from SuckerPunch downloading techniques and tactical abilities from the Foundation. Such unaware pilots (called ‘Numbskulls’) try to claim individual patents on such things, but they cannot, as these things are the sole property of The SuckerPunch Foundation of which they’re merely a part.
If you are a Strider Neophyte, the key to achieving CMS is the activation of personal obsession with speed and the spastic use of tactical uncertainty. These unlock the neuropathways necessary for efficient fusion with SuckerPunch.
Along the following thread, Strider Ninjas will provide combat footage, and relevant information from their experience with SuckerPunch. The purpose is to activate the necessary neuropathways of Neophytes to accomplish CMS with SuckerPunch.

Proudly an owner of an OE Strider, currently at L10 (my only L10 bot in my hanger cuz I luv it so much! the rest are only L9). It'll be my 1st bot to M2L12 (if i ever M2 my bots)

Hi, my name is BB and I love Striders Nice vid. Thanks. Even the song selected had me bopping along (brought me back to the "good old days"  ). I have been using my newish strider (L5) for giggles but noticed that I was getting some decent scores with it in the line up. You have inspired me to upgrade further  . |

Great thead.
Love me some Strider for BR.
I run Glory, Halo, and Gust, and have had it in my “main hangar” for many months.
Inquisitor or Spectre come and go in my main, but Strider stays put. With the Hellburner nerf, Strider might be the preeminent first BR drop.

I love my strider but i hate other striders. Please stay in your kumihos where you are a much easier kill hahaha. Sometimes fellow striders recognise each other and quietly go their seperate ways... Strider is great counter to ares and stealth bots , they think they are safe in cover then boom! Strider right in their face.

STRIDER CUSTOM BATTLES ON THE EVENT HORIZON
STRIDER vs STRIDER is the equivalent of GARETH vs GARETH knife fights of old. Like Alex just said, sometimes the two acknowledge each other (Hive mentality), like motorcyclists acknowledging each other, there’s a code of respect. But more than that for me, is some of the most amazing gameplay I’ve ever had is Plasma Gareth fights, running in circles around each other, using tactical uncertainty to stop and change direction, or stop then continue on the same way, attempting to get around the shield.
Here with Striders, we have the opportunity to do it x5, so it’s much more spastic. There are different load-outs to face off, so it will be interesting to explore fast paced custom quick matches (you don’t need a full Strider hangar) with different weapons to find fun builds and how to make them effective. Mobilatay is a key component for Strider, so it would seem being locked-down is certain death, but it really depends on timing, hp levels, and which weapons are competing. Exploring these in live and custom matches will allow SuckerPunch to reveal a well rounded mastery in the Strider pilot. More to come!

I believe the AI is struggling with my NUMBSKULL...but periodically, it makes the link...
When it does, my lvl 11 AVENGER/HALO/GUST superbug out dogfights, defies gravity/inertia, or hits the disappear switch between 2-3 reds set up in ambush.
I thought I was just having a good day at the time...but it makes so much sense now.
SUCKERPUNCH occasionally links with my KUMIHO....but is often frustrated by limited boost potential.
(Now that I know what I'm hearing, the screams of anguish while piloting a LEO make more sense...)

endyu. Thx dude  exo was strong at lvl 9 IMO, but delicious when maxed, I’m not even thinking of MK2ing new economy heavy weaps, ridiculously long time

Another nice vid. I noticed that you really use elevation to an advantage. Some of those moves I would've choked for sure (carrier side rail - splash for me ) |

I have not attempted it again in a match that matters. Try a few in custom. It’s all about alignment of the upper shoulder flaps (one on particular, depending on the side you approach bridge from) with the edge of the cliff, similar to gliding in dash bots. If you learn to line it up, you can one snap glide all the way into lower deck, only very occasionally will you need a second dash. |

I semi-performed the Yamantau bridge move...
Dropped a bit short and was hanging on the edge....
Funny thing though...got 3 kills with my AVENGER...
At the time, the reds could not get an angle on me or shoot thru the tower. Ran gun dry, reloaded, ran gun dry...killed.
Teammates FINALLY captured the still white beacon...
I do recommend doing the maneuver correctly though...
