Anyone feel just a lil bad killing a red team strider with anything but your strider? I do! Feels a lil like offing a distant cousin. Only good red is a dead red Not true. Blue Zenit Nori spawn campers also can’t die fast enough!

I love striders strenght for a clean up bot. My team was gonna loose the match no matter what I did since the enemy team was consisting of 3 randoms and 3 squad members who I knew had at least max stuff since they immediatly made an ares train
I break the train using mercury and kill em all off before they start terrorising us in ao juns and kill my merc off. I hop in strider and look around, the ao juns are making their runs and I decide to dash over and pick one off since had literally just finished.
I kill him and then another lands near me who I also kill, eventually I have enough dashes and the third one lands quite a ways away but I have enough dashes to get over there and out before one of his clanmates get to me trying to kill me.
I killed another ao jun this way and a stray ares during his ability and then finally falling to a friend near him, we lost but I ended up at the top of my team and feeling like I had won, strider and mercury are my favorite bots hands down!

Gotta love it when a plan... and a team... come together! Another game where all but the last 2 kills was with Scooter. T'was on Castle I got our first beacon of course then raced to the under bridge beacon, the reds came one by one like lambs to the slaughter. With a lot of help from teammates (for once) they did a lot of damage then I would pop up and take the kill Killed about 6 reds then a Leo and Griff came at the same time while my team were getting new bots to help out so I dashed out and killed them both. With scooter nearly outta health I spawned my SpOrkan on the beacon (Beacon Rush) killed a natty and by that time it was almost all over my team had taken the reds home (top) beacon and 3 of us took the bottom red home beacon. 1 last ares spawned I just waited until the shield went down and blew him away with Mk. 2 Level 12 Orks. Good times.

Sadly I only got around 3 kills but I hurt a lot of reds very badly...

Been running this guy for a while now in Android Champ. Level 12 with Level 12 Gusts, Exodus will be level 12 in about a week. I play him mostly as an Assassin, typically my 2nd or 3rd drop in a match, when I want to get back into the action quickly. I typically try to Dash in on a target and take it out in one push, but the Gust rebalance has really been apparent with the reduced initial burst. Any thoughts on replacement weapons? My first thought was Halos, but Energy/Rockets have never been considered a good combo. Magnums? Punishers?

Try some shredders, they hit hard and can lock down, their range would help as well since being able to lock someone before your main dmg dealer can even hit them is useful. The only problem is that they require clip reloading but that can be overruled by smart play and would help you master how to use weird builds like that. Make sure your next skill is mechanic, it is so very helpful and keeps the scooter alive for a long time. If you don't use them then halos.

I tried viper/blaze. With the Taipan skin it seems fitting what with the poison and burn combo. Not super effective but it was pretty fun.
And listening to motorhead snake bite love helped too probably.

I use shredders at lv 9/8 on my mercury (with an avenger) and whenever the avenger is offline they can hold foes back so don't be too scared of fights when the exo is empty. Also I use a viper exodus build on my falcon and even with the difference between the damage types it works surprisingly well. The only real problem is ancile shields since only my main dmg source hits it (the exos) but even then it isn't bad

One more question...Last Stand or AntiControl along with my Thermonuclear Reactor? Or drop the Thermonuclear Reactor and use both?

I mix up the heavy from time to time depending on what else I have in my hanger. With gust sharpshooter and 2 Mk2 gusts, those are pretty much welded onto mine until I finish a bunch of other projects. Nerf or no, they are still very effective. Exo is prob my fav heavy, but trying out glory atm, all good fun.

Hi All, Iâ??ve acquired a Strider and want to use it for fun / assassinating ?wee-wee? campers. Initial runs havenâ??t been too encouraging, but it isnâ??t levelled properly yet and I understand thereâ??s a bit of a learning curve. Any advice on how to play this thing? Is Exodus / Pinata suitable armament? Any advice gratefully received. well what is your prefered style? Getting in close and hitting hard? Maybe you like to sit back and pelt people or even wanna play long range. Exodus with gusts or halos works better but even so you shouldn't limit yourself to one range with him. Find your prefered range then we can help you with builds as he works for any of them.

If your main agenda is to kill campers, that means you have to skillfully maneuver yourself across a lot of terrain to just get there. During your trek you WILL have to deal with some big gnarly bots that want to kill you, for this you will need firepower to fight back, EXO is a beast in close but piñatas will empty fast and are then pretty much useless when that happens. Halos and Gusts are FAR better alternatives IMO. Also, Strider is all about SPEED, so getting it leveled up to lev. 9 top speed is THE most important thing if you want to get an accurate picture of what the bot can do for you.

BB , o master of many Strider builds... Have you tried Avenger-Shredder? Part of me thinks is better to NOT want this build, because I have too many other places to put shredders already. Blitz wants 2 more and Mender is just begging for them. But it seems like a versatile SuckerPunch build. I can wait for a while the ExoGust combo is still working.

Strider works well with anything but avenger shredders will be pushing it, like a redeemer on the top.

Killing campers... a noble goal … and fun!!
Yup! As previously stated... you've gotta cover a lotta terrain in general to reach campers. But then... there are the larger maps with even more terrain to cover before you reach the bozos. Worse yet... there are a couple of maps (Springfield/Canyon) where there's a lotta terrain to cover and it's completely open ground!
Then... when you're spotted... reds will converge on you! I say when because it's pretty inevitable.... it doesn't take a genius to figure out your intentions and killing campers is a fulltime job for some players. Which isn't always a bad thing because you're pulling reds from more valuable tasks to come deal with you. lol Sometimes being a trolling distraction can be very helpful!
So ... pick your maps carefully and practice... practice... practice... getting the KILL after getting past and through all that is super satisfying!

Is Exodus / Pinata suitable armament? Any advice gratefully received. exactly, and one extra thing to remember is you should setup your bot with a shield on one side since all sniping weapons that are decently good are energy or projectile, non rockets in other words so it will give you something to hide behind when those campers can see you. Also make sure you only rush when you see an opening, with an exo and halo or glory and shredder etc. you can still fight really well so you can play normally if there is no easy way through at the moment.

You need to at least TRY the Viper Halo build at some time, it melts Fenways nicely. I will eventually be running TWO of these builds at some point, JUST to chip away at all these lard 「multiple dookie delivery chute」 coming into the game.?

Well, I’m about to send my first Strider into the Mk2 Machine and will be running this in its place...It’s also pretty good at “chipping away” lol. But after Strider’s upgrade, I might cash in some Viper components that I’ve been sitting on forever.

Shredders sync better and lock down up to end range much better. the reload is very fast. ofc the trade off is halos hit harder the closer you get.
