 Sorry just had to add this. How can someone in Silver 3 get over 1 million damage? It takes just one player to ruin a whole match. Pixonic need to do something. And for those just saying it's only Pixonic's fault. Nope, everyone needs to take personal responsibility too. I don't really see how this is any different to cheating. When I play Monopoly, there is nothing stopping me from stealing from the bank if no one is looking. It's not the game's fault it can't stop me. It's mine. Because this is a computer game, people may think personal ethics don't matter, but they still do. Remember guys. I've only been playing for 2 weeks, and I'm coming up against year old plus players who just want to anhillate new players like me, for the fun of it. It'll kill the game as new players like me get tired of it. Edit: final rant - What these veterans effectively do is make MY advancement completely random. I can't advance out of Silver 3 for a long time because the win/losses of my game are entirely determined by those who are purposefully dropping out, those who are purposefully losing, and veterans who are winning games single handed. I reckoned I'd be in Silver 3 for a month or so. I'll probably be here for a lot longer since it'll take me a long time to be able to tilt the course of matches my way. |

More of the same tonight, dropping into matches that already have 30 seconds expired off the clock to see the closest beacons captured and only four other blues to six reds.
I can't drop matches because then I might go to tanker heaven when it goes live right? Forget it, I'm already there!
On the flip side I broke my four day losing streak! I got the "kill two bots with a light bot in one match" daily and couldn't pass it up. Dropped in my 7/7 Stalker alternate hanger and we managed to win - because the enemy didn't even attempt to capture center, despite easily outgunning everyone on my team.

Okay, I think it's pretty much obvious tanking  Let's make an text list or something. But not with noobs, or bad internet connectivity guys. Just pure tankers. I think nobody would argue that [KZ] clan is tanking here? |

Today Canyon map Blue team 6 randoms. Red team full squad clan [P4IN] id 23328 battle over in 2 min 36 sec. Blue team win by mechout. Obvious clan sqwuad ditching, shame shame shame !

I was trying to play my usual three wins in the evening routine, and bumped to this guys. They were usual stuff - 11-12 bots, a lot of gold bots\weapons, and clearly were using comms. Out of 10 games, I've met them 8 times, and every time we were obliterated. So I don't understand - how come matchmaking were putting me for slaughter against same firetrucking sealclubber squad again and again?  |

Yeah, their league point is allright, but weapons\cups\bots\teamplay was through the roof. And I can almost hear their communications :-D As you can see from our frags, we managed to kill only 5 of them (I laid final shot to two of them, and proud of that :-D ) because 80% of the time it goes like this: And my teammates were falling into those "poor crippled aphid Patton who just can't run away from you" trap again and again. It was pretty fun game, all in all, but I would like my average win rate to stay at 64% and not 42% :-D |

Man I'm not too much of a complainer, but the games today are just ridiculous. In most of my games, I had between one and two quitters in my team. And I lost most of the games, dropping a league.
Pix, this system really doesn't work. It's extremely frustrating playing and knowing the outcome of the game doesn't really depends on you.
After the event, I will reduce drastically my playing time. Situation is just ridiculous right now.

Because once a month or two back I scored 1.2m dmg in a battle and used only an 8/8 plasma Gareth then an 8/9 plasma Galahad. Not high level bots. But Leos and Griffs kept walking right at me and I melted them, racking up damage. You have to look at his hangar and his stats. Though I agree with you in general, tanking is perverse and ruins the game especially for newer players. Possibly worse than seal clubbing under the old MM system ever did. |

Here is another in a long line over the last 5 days now. This match didn't even last 4 mins.. I am currently in Gold 2. The last guy didn't even drop. The second last one fired off a volley of rockets and quit. Seems that the majority of them I have seen (I always check lately) are Gold 1 or Diamond 3 (  ).  |

One time a WHOLE SQUAD of 5 people tanked with no weapons or even shields, and I had to fight by myself. I wish that I had a screenshot of that to back me up, but I died in the first 3 minutes. At least I got a few kills.

I decided to play a couple of games this afternoon, but instead wound up with this mess. One of the guys spent the whole game running into a building while firing (I'm assuming that was a bot?) *Sigh* I just want to play the friggin game... Hanger police!!! Don't run how you want to run or they will post pics on the forum. :/ who the exactly are you OP to tell anyone how to play this game they want? I find that disgusting. Two games in a row now I put my three weakest bots in, intentionally ran headlong into masses of red to see how fast I could get rekt, and I was STILL 4th in damage. Tell me those two a-holes below me were trying to up their rank. Pitiful. One of the biggest mistakes Pix made in this game is not allowing 'accidental' damage from friendly fire. I don't care, I'd eat losses all day long just to be able to frag those losers.

When your hanger averages a 7/7 and you run into this more often than expected...hey, I like a challenge but there's a point where Not even the keenest amount of skill and tactics can overcome sheer firepower. Please tell me again how these scenarios (and the current state of MM) don't incentivize tanking... I don't complain much, but I'm seeing players way above my pay grade a lot more since the most recent change in the medal award scheme.  |

So this thread sure explains a lot. I'm a noob in the private league and was wondering why I kept getting matched up with guys running bots/weapons I can't even access yet, doing 3 & 4x the dmg of everyone else. Especially since their profiles show them in gold, diamond, champion etc leagues. Even had one guy, Evil Phil, from the top 50 players list.
Oh well, that's life; people just suck. Most of them are always going to choose the easy wrong thing over the hard right thing. All you can do is be who you are and let them be who they are, which is a punishment in itself, and just go about your business. The game is still a helluva lot of fun, so I'll keep playing until it isn't. In the meantime, maybe the devs will figure out a better system. Now back to blowing 「dookie」 up.

kjester, If someone gets 400k damage but gets 0 beacons, should they be fined? Also, the fine of 5 gold will seriously deplete hard earned gold if done repeatedly.

kjester, if a player does about 500k damage but doesn't capture any beacons, he or she shouldn't be fined. Also, if a player doesn't play too well, he shouldn't be fined 5 hard-earned AU points.

First three wins In a squad every day earns you three Au each. You don't have to do anything -- just be in a squad on the winning team. Back on topic.... a little while ago I played a game against the leader of my former clan. He tries to get the rest of his clan to tank so they can win more and earn more clan cups. Even clearly explains how to do it. He's got a healthy hangar of 5 bots, some gold, lots of gold weapons, mostly leveled 9/10, and he's currently in Bronze 3. Apparently he was not aware of the LQ, because he had been including leaving a game after starting as part of the script. The last time I squadded with him, we were up against mostly 12/12 hangars. He had no idea what I was talking about when I explained why that probably was. That was also the day I quit that clan. It's bad enough that solo players are pulling that crap, but I think it's the worst to be preaching it to your clan as a preferred approach to the game. And yes, I got my ?bum-bum? kicked bad in that earlier game... the whole team did. Once I saw him on the red team, I avoided him -- but that just left him open to run around clubbing everybody else. It's been a very up-and-down day in the game today anyway, but that really kinda ruined my playing mood for the night. |

I AM SO 「fluffernutter」ING SICK OF PLAYING SHORT-HANDED!!!!!!! Every game the last two days, it's either 5 on 6 or some 「bum-bum hole」 never moving from spawn, or both. Every 「fluffernutter」ing game.
